Because air pollution has a major impact on human health, monitoring and forecasting of the most important pollutants concentrations are very important. The modelling of the non-linear and complex phenomena associated to air pollution is successfully performed using artificial intelligence-based methods. This paper aims to develop a model based on adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) technique for short-term prediction of particulate matter (PM) concentration. There are proposed three models, one that uses only PM concentrations as inputs, and the other two that have as additional inputs meteorological parameters. All models have as output the prediction of the next hour PM concentration. The simulation results for the three proposed models are compared using statistical indices, the best model being the one that takes into account the current hour temperature as additional input besides the PM concentrations.","PeriodicalId":122809,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI)","volume":"384 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132792228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It replaces to some extend conventional power generation based on coal, oil, gas, etc. and can range between 30 W to 400 kW. This leads to less polluted cities and lower investment in onerous transmission and distribution grids since generation sources is closer to final electricity and thermal energy consumers. In this paper, we used input data from small-size generation renewable sources based on solar irradiance and wind speed. The input data have been undergone through the Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) process. After the ETL, we performed first and second order of autoregressive, moving average, combined autoregressive and moving average, and autoregressive integrated moving average that is a generalization of combined autoregressive and moving average. We considered two study cases for performing forecasting analyses: the wind power generators located in Tulcea city and photovoltaic panel that is located in Giurgiu city. These forecasts could be mainly used by prosumers to perform load profiles, improve their consumption optimization, electricity market related activities, etc. We applied several different forecasting methods (SVM, ANN), but the best results we obtained with ARIMA models.","PeriodicalId":122809,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125613155","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using current-conveyors in harmonic oscillators building, the frequency band of active device is well valorised, comparing with the situation of operational amplifiers using. The author chooses from all RC oscillators the oscillator with Wien network, as one of the most used net for RC oscillators with voltage operating mode. Both variable elements haven't any ground contact so, in working conditions, some issues regarding the screening and driving of these elements will emerge. To solve this problem we propose a RC sinusoidal oscillator circuit, made with current conveyors of second generation (CCII), of which selective network is characterised by a transfer function Wien type. This net is different of standard one, having the both capacitors for frequency adjustment ground connected. It was used current-conveyors of second generation PA 630 Phototronix, where with a structure of current amplifier with differential out comes and a selective network were made.","PeriodicalId":122809,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131343330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is analyzed the effects of objectives centered pedagogy (OCP) on curriculum theory and practice as one of the dominant curricular approaches since 1950, when the curriculum was promoted as the paradigm of postmodern education. This rational model of curriculum design shaped by the principles of scientific management and by the centrality of the objectives, more or less, in behavioral terms was constituted as a base for new developments in curriculum design as regards the theories that try to re-launch the link between the labor markets and the demands of the postindustrial, informational and global society, on one hand, and the aims of the learning programs, on the other hand. Thus, the competence based approach (CBA) is constituted, being seen as a way of projecting competence based curriculum (CBC) which places competence in the center of curricular design intercession. There are highlighted the new determinations of designing that type of curriculum that can reestablish the link between school training offer and the demands of present-day society and that can provide the relevance and authenticity of learning experiences the students are involved in.","PeriodicalId":122809,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124447094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ISFNN represents a structure modification of the classical fuzzy-neural approach where selective fuzzification as a means to reduce the number of the generated fuzzy rules is proposed, thus expected to reduce the number of the associated learning parameters and to achieve a degree of computational simplicity. On the other hand, the potentials of the network are supplemented by intuitionistic fuzzy logic, in order to handle uncertain data variations. As a learning procedure for the proposed structure, a two-step gradient descent algorithm is employed. To investigate the influence of input space fuzzificaton, several test experiments in modeling of a two benchmark chaotic systems — Mackey-Glass and Rossler chaotic time series are made.","PeriodicalId":122809,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124101424","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
