Compared to servo motor based robotic arm the proposed design has an added advantage of light weight and high force to mass ratio, but further introduces the problem of nonlinearities such as Hysteresis into the system. A nonlinear dynamic model of the hysteretic robotic arm is systematically developed to perform closed loop simulations. A Joint Space control is performed using Variable Structure Control and the closed loop performance is successfully verified by simulation studies.","PeriodicalId":122809,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122158751","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Aerial Manipulation Vehicle has a highly coupled dynamics due to the interaction between the Quadrotor and the attached manipulator. The nonlinear coupling introduces disturbances on the quadrotor which hinders precise control. A control solution in the operational space is considered where the End-Effector has to reach a final position starting from an initial hovering position. A hierarchical control approach is implemented where the outermost layer consist of Closed Loop Inverse Kinematics algorithm followed by position and attitude controlled loop for the quadrotor. The robotic arm and the quadrotor are controlled by different combinations of PID control methods. The proposed method is successfully tested through simulations for position control of the Aerial Manipulator.","PeriodicalId":122809,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI)","volume":"283 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131931772","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In different regions of the world the share of energy produced by PV systems depends on climatic factors and economical policies that require a careful analysis of energetically performances and financial investments. This study analyzes the economic and energy efficiency of a PV system connected to the network, located in three different regions from Europe. For this purpose there are used information provided by manufacturers of PV systems and databases of the Psol software package on climate parameters and technological parameters of PV systems. The results of simulations made in the 3 regions led to a comparative analysis of the economic and energy efficiency for the same PV system using a score and a ranking proposed by the authors.","PeriodicalId":122809,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124260885","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The methodology has two stages: at first is determined the preferential zone where can be located the DG based on the operational characteristics (modelled in paper as fuzzy variables) and the second stage determines the optimal location for DG using Hurwitz criterion. The methodology is verified on a 20 kV real rural distribution network.","PeriodicalId":122809,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126062445","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We wanted to be aware what are problem situations that teachers and especially class masters deal with in their daily educational activity, indifferently of their nature (for example, the low participation in classes or the problems derived from the students' behavior, attitude or family environment) in order to meet the teachers' necessities for training and perfecting their relation with students, with the aim to obtain a high quality educational process. The data analyses was made by combining quantitative (statistical) methods with the quality (content) ones, with the aim to obtain a more detailed and real image as possible. According to the results, the participants appreciate that the problems and difficulties that have been identified and confronted within the school environment can be solved by developing the educational counseling competences. The answers about the difficult situations that have been met and the implemented solutions reflect the fact that the most frequent incidents in school are those of verbal violence. Incidents that contain physical violence or objects destruction in school are less frequent. On the other hand, skipping classes and a low motivation to learn represent aspects that teachers deal with very often. The study can represent an efficient informative instrument whose results can be integrated within the managerial and educational steps for more categories of beneficiaries or decision factors. The given data can build the foundation for the relevance of the future continuous training programs.","PeriodicalId":122809,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128293017","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the increasing of the power and miniaturization, the system radiator became exposed to degradation. This can be prevented by integrating a fault detection system that monitories continuously the system radiator state. In this paper is proposed an experimental system to detect the degradation of direct radiator loudspeaker based on information collected at the input of it, using measurement of the consumed current and of the applied voltage.","PeriodicalId":122809,"journal":{"name":"2016 8th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127045065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
