Thyroid hormones are synthesized by thyrocytes of mammalian thyroid tissue from the large protein thyroglobulin having a molecular weight of 330 kDa. The thyroid hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine are small molecules that have large biological effects. They regulate metabolism in almost all cells, and are important for the development of the central nervous system, musculoskeletal system and lungs. These are also the only hormones that contain iodine and are synthesized partly inside and partly outside of cells. Kadilaeva","doi":"10.33920/med-13-2401-01","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33920/med-13-2401-01","url":null,"abstract":"An adjusted dosage form has been developed in the form of a syrup using low-waste technology — from the meal of the fruits of Viburnum viburnum. Viburnum fruit meal contains higher fatty acids, triterpenoids, phytosterols, and carotenoids. Medicines of plant origin have a number of undeniable advantages compared to synthetic ones, since their composition ensures safety and better tolerability due to the variety of biologically active substances (BAS) of plants, they can have a complex effect on the body, and they can be used for a long time. However, the main issue is that, despite their high bioavailability and cost-effectiveness, herbal medicines are complex to design and require the development of a number of technological solutions. Equally important are the issues of establishing quality standards — standardization of the developed dosage form. The syrup was prepared from simple sugar syrup with the addition of dry extract from viburnum fruit meal. Purpose of work. Development and establishment of quality standards for the developed dosage form — syrup from viburnum fruit meal. Materials and methods. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method. Let us use it to establish standards in quantitative terms for chlorogenic acid. Permanganatometry. This technique was used to determine the quantitative content of the amount of tannins in terms of gallic acid. Results. It was established that the content of chlorogenic acid in the developed syrup is 0.214 ± 0.006 %, the content of tannins in terms of gallic acid is 0.494 ± 0.014 %. Indicators acidity (pH) — 3–5, density — 1,360 to 1,420 g/cm3, microbiological purity — category 3 B. Conclusion. The result of the research was the establishment of the main indicators of syrup quality, namely the quantitative content of the main biologically active substances — chlorogenic acid and tannins in terms of gallic acid. Varenicline free base is an achiral molecule, however varenicline tartrate, which is formed by the reaction of varenicline free base and L-tartaric acid, is optically active and has an absolute counterion configuration of 2R, 3R. At the moment, only the drug Champix, produced by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, is represented among direct analogues, so the development of a domestic analogue is an urgent topic of research. However, nowadays it is increasingly being considered as a promising and convenient way to deliver many drugs with a resorptive effect into the body. This is not surprising: this method of administration has a number of advantages and can be used for drugs produced only in the form of injectable solutions. The drug will not be metabolized in the liver, since it will enter the blood directly through the epithelium of the nasal cavity, which is abundantly supplied with blood. In addition, compared with injectable dosage forms, this method is less traumatic and does not require the participation of medical personnel and special training. Modern services for the search and purchase of medicines have a variety of capabilities that allow making the Internet service convenient for use, as well as to increase the competitive advantages of the pharmacy brand. Due to the relatively small number of dosage forms of this drug and its minimal production in the Russian Federation, the creation of new dosage forms of nifedipine represented by a transdermal patch and transdermal gel is a feasible and urgent task. Nifedipine has a fairly wide use in cardiological practice; according to the results of many years of research, it has been proved that this drug is used in such areas of medicine as mountain medicine, psychiatry, gynecology, and gerontology. Despite the complexity of creating transdermal forms, the number of medicinal substances delivered by percutaneous diffusion is gradually increasing. A significant disadvantage of nifedipine is its low solubility in water, which significantly affects the degree of release of the pharmaceutical substance from the drug base. This article is devoted to the use of 3D printing technology for medical purposes. It considers the potential of using 3D printing in various pharmaceutical fields. The paper describes some examples of various applications of 3D printing in medicine and examines the advantages and disadvantages of this technology.
