There are two types of zakat; zakat fitrah and zakat property. However, zakat’s division may vary according to the state's fatwa. In Selangor, Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) is the body that governs the administration and implementation of Zakat. The breakdown of zakat property is Zakat on Income, Zakat on Business, Zakat on Savings, Zakat on Gold and Silver, Zakat on Investments and Shares, Zakat on KWSP, Zakat on Paddy, Zakat on Agriculture, Zakat on Wealth and Treasure, and the Zakat on Takaful. However, this study will only focus on Zakat Takaful. Under Zakat Takaful, there are several divisions which are Zakat Wang Takaful/Takaful Investment, Zakat on Maturity Policy, Takaful Compensation, Tabarruq Fund, Benefit of Total and Permanent Disability, and Compensation of Conventional Insurance Policy. Each of these sections has its calculation method which will be explained further. This study was conducted to identify the level of knowledge and acceptance of Takaful Muslim consumers on the implementation of Zakat Takaful that has been introduced by LZS. Besides, this study will also look at the knowledge of Takaful agents and their willingness to disseminate information of Zakat Takaful to their customers. This study was conducted by using the sampling method and descriptive data analysis. The study found that on average, respondents' knowledge on Zakat Takaful is low with a mean of 2.32. However, the mean for acceptance is 3.93 which is set at a high level thus showed a good acceptance of the survey respondents. Through this study, it can be concluded that knowledge and acceptance are both very important in achieving the objective of implementing Zakat Takaful. Knowledge by Takaful participants who are also assisted by agents who play the role of conveying knowledge of Zakat Takaful is directly perceived to have a more effective effect in addition to the behavior/attitude that forms the intention of Takaful participnts to accept the implementation and to pay Zakah Takaful. Recent research shows the blooming of Internet-based milk sharing, i.e. Eats On Feets and Human Milk 4 Human Babies, which are already operating in nearly 40 countries. Both organisations mentioned use Facebook to connect mothers, and practise under a commerce-free model in which milk is not bought and sold, but is freely given. However, Muslim community cannot fully utilize this platform as Islam has several guidelines regarding human milk sharing which is not covered by them. This paper presents a framework for milk sharing online web application that complies with Islamic laws featuring storing donors and recipients data in the database, managing human milk transactions and connecting both parties in the form of ‘Family Tree’ to keep track and avoid confusion regarding mixed lineage. The research methodology base on the (1) urgent need to find a human milk supply, especially for preterm babies, sick infants and those infants that cannot be breastfed, (2) high awareness of mothers who are awarded with surplus human milk to share their milk to the infants in need, and (3) online human milk selling phenomenon that will cause confusion especially among Muslims related to mahram and heredity, their infant’s safety and health issues. As a conclusion, this system is able to provide solutions to all three interrelated issues. Islamic history has proven that the practice of proving a case through DNA has been carried out as early as the time of the Prophet Joseph (p.b.u.h.) and the time of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.). A lot of efforts have been done to introduce evidence through DNA in the Syariah Court. However, there are some important issues that must be addressed by various parties in Malaysia before starting to apply the DNA evidence in the Syariah Court. This study was conducted to identify important issues that require attention in the realization of the use of DNA evidence in the Syariah Court. This qualitative study employed socio-legal and library-based research in collecting primary and secondary data. Then, the data have been analyzed by using content analysis method through inductive and deductive reasoning. This study found five issues that need to be addressed namely the knowledge and understanding of shariah officers in regard to the DNA, the need to establish Syariah Forensic Laboratory, the suspect's reluctance to provide his DNA sample for DNA analysis, DNA forensic expert qualification as an expert witness in Syariah Court, and the evidential value of DNA in Syariah Court. Therefore, this article was conducted to assess the application of professional ethics analyzed based on Imam Abū Ḥanīfah among Islamic education teachers in Selangor. There are in total, 263 respondents involved in this study who work as Islamic education teachers in secondary schools around Selangor. A set of questionnaires are used as a research instrument. The data obtained are analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science for Windows Version 22 (SPSS v.22) and are descriptively reported in term of frequency, percentage and mean values. Overall, the result shows that the level of application was high with the mean value is 3.327. This finding shows that Islamic education teachers in Selangor are committed in applying the Ethics of Religious Teachers as according to Imam Abū Ḥanīfah. In line with this, various efforts have been undertaken to improve the health of the community, including vaccination programs, explicitly the injection of vaccines, specifically immunization among children. This is due to the transmission of various types of diseases that risks the survival of children. However, there are parents who reject giving the vaccine to their children based on claims of non-halal vaccine sources and the adverse events following immunization. They deny the importance of vaccines by choosing alternative treatments that are said to be better and safer. Since the vaccine injection is not a mandatory requirement by the government, they feel entitled to reject the vaccine injection by choice. As a result of the vaccine rejection, some previously reduced vaccine-preventable diseases are on the increase in Malaysia. Therefore, this literature review, based on the qualitative approach, discusses the polemics of vaccines and governmental authorities in enforcing a policy from an Islamic ruling perspective. Findings of this study indicate that based on the principle of maslahah in Islam, it is permissible for the government to devise vaccination as a compulsory requirement for the citizens. Thus, the government can enforce mandatory vaccinations so that parents will allow their children to be vaccinated. Western researchers such as Maslow also suggested that organizational managers identify deficiencies in the needs of their employees as this may affect one's attitude and behavior. Maslow's motivational needs can be met through the support of organizations through their reward programs and so on. Thus, this study is conducted to evaluate the perception on organizational support and the level of involvement of the spiritual and social activities of the B40 Muslim community that can help improve their self-esteem and social relations. A total of 378 low-income Muslim of Felda who are also borrower were involved in this study. This study used questionnaire and data was analyzed by using descriptive method and mean score statistic. The result show that the perceived organizational support are at moderate level. However, the involvement of spiritual and social activities is at low level. This medieval poem received an encouraging response from the sufis and litterateurs. Besides quality content, the benefits of an Arabic poem are judged based on the usage of good language, high imagination, unique phonetics and alphabetical sound, and aesthetics. This values are based on the Arabic rhetoric. Hence, this article aims to examine the application of al-Badī elements which is a part of the Arabic rhetoric in al-Munfarijah poetry. This is a qualitative study that involves content analysis. General meaning was given to the selected verse. Thematic and deductive approaches are applied in data analysis. The study found that the application of al-Badī elements involved both al-Muḥassināt al-Ma ͨnawiyyah and al-Muḥassināt al-Lafẓiyyah. This article focuses only on three elements from each parts. The application of six elements is sufficient to illustrate the holistic semantics and aesthetics of poetry. This research reveals that the writer has an excellent level of al-Tharwah al-Lughawiyyah in his poetry. Despite the language aspect mentioned, a significant influence of tasawuf is also deployed. Nonetheless, non-shariah staff, other than SC and Internal Shariah Department of Takaful Operators, also play an important role in managing shariah risk exposures in the operations of Takaful Operator. According to section 29 (3) Islamic Financial Services Act 2013 (IFSA 2013) which states that the Chief Executive Officer and Officer including any of the staff of the Takaful Operator are responsible for ensuring shariah compliance in the operation of Islamic financial institutions. Therefore, this study will analyze a using qualitative approach by interviewing respondents who are involved with the operations of takaful companies in Malaysia. Primary data from the takaful industry is analyzed using coding, memo, inductive and deductive processes using the Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Atlas.ti 7. The purpose of this research is to identify the roles and responsibilities of non-shariah staff in managing the shariah risk exposures of the Takaful Company in Malaysia. The secondary objective is to analyse and suggest an improvement for competency non-shariah staff in strengthening the shariah risk management of the Takaful Operator. This study found that non-shariah staff, especially front-line staff who are the first party to identify when there are shariah risk exposures in the operations of Takaful Operators. Subsequently, the underwriting staff is the second party to identify if there is any shariah risk exposures in the application of a new takaful contract. Measurement of management efficiency can promote healthy growth and development as well as improve the overall planning of the cooperative. Therefore, the selection of the efficiency measurement model is important so that the measurement of cooperative efficiency is comprehensive and reflects the actual performance of the cooperative. The objective of this study is to identify the cooperative management efficiency model through previous studies. Then, this study will set a model of measurement efficiency that corresponds to the co-operative. This qualitative study will analyze each model based on its co-operative concept. The findings of the study show that six models are used and proposed in the measurement of management competencies ie Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA), ‘Three Dimensional Efficiency’ model, Six Rules model, Sivirina model and Two-Dimensional model. Each model evaluates competencies in different aspects, including economic, social, socio-economic aspects, relationships between members, organizations and management functions. However, all models have the same purpose of measuring and improving the organization's efficiency. Most models use quantitative measurements and there are recommendations for using qualitative measurements so that cooperative performance can be assessed more fully. The main objective of implementing ISO 9000 in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) is to improve the quality related to administrative as well as academic matters. Implementation of ISO 9000 emphasizes on key clauses namely quality management system, risk management, resource management, product realization, analysis and continuous improvement. All these clauses emphasize on technical aspects. Therefore, the value aspect should also be emphasized that the practice of ISO 9000 can be implemented in a balanced way. The objective of this article is to examine Islamic values in the implementation of ISO 9000 in Malaysian HEI. This qualitative study uses a public HEI located in the Klang Valley as a case study. Semi-structural interview is used as a data collection method. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis method. The research findings show that there are five Islamic values practiced in the implementation of ISO 9000 namely Shura, Itqan, discipline, responsibility and Istiqamah.
