Solutions previously published in the state-of-the-art had presented techniques to detect violence at movie scenes, sports matches, or crowds. In this work, we propose a novel system architecture based on human Pose Track for detecting evidence of assaults in real-world videos from closed-circuit television (CCTV) of Brazilian lottery agencies. The results showed that our method can identify individuals with hands up and lying down with accuracy rates up to 85%. We believe that the detection of potentially risky situations in real-time is a crucial tool in the fighting against crime.","PeriodicalId":119031,"journal":{"name":"Anais Estendidos da Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images (SIBGRAPI)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131497651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This task can be supported by appropriate data structures and visualization mechanisms. One challenge is the amount of existing relationships and the difficulty of determining which of the references of a document are considered the most potentially relevant to it. In this paper, we propose a visual approach based on graphs to recommend important references. Also, we propose a procedure to build and update the citation graph in a collaborative way.","PeriodicalId":119031,"journal":{"name":"Anais Estendidos da Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images (SIBGRAPI)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133035608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The building of such data structures frequently represents a large portion of the cost of the rendering pipeline both in terms of time and space complexity, especially when rendering is done for inspection purposes only. In this work we present OMiCroN -- Oblique Multipass Hierarchy Creation while Navigating -- which is the first algorithm capable of immediately displaying partial renders of the geometry, provided the cloud is made available sorted in Morton order. In fact, a pipeline coupling OMiCroN with an incremental sorting algorithm running in parallel can start rendering as soon as the first sorted prefix is produced, making this setup very convenient for streamed viewing.","PeriodicalId":119031,"journal":{"name":"Anais Estendidos da Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images (SIBGRAPI)","volume":"193 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115147721","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, the equirectangular image format is the widely used pattern to represent these panoramic images. The development of a virtual reality viewer of panoramic images should consider several parameters that define the quality of the rendered image. Such parameters include resolution configurations, texture-to-objects mappings and deciding from different rendering approach, but to select the optimal value of these parameters, visual quality analysis is required. In this work, we propose a tool integrated within Unity editor to automate this quality assessment using different settings for the visualization of equirectangular images. We compare the texture mapping of a skybox with a procedural sphere and a cubemap using full-reference objective metrics for Image Quality Analysis (IQA). Based on the assessment results, the tool decides how the final image will be rendered at the target device to produce a visually pleasing and high-quality image.","PeriodicalId":119031,"journal":{"name":"Anais Estendidos da Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images (SIBGRAPI)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127139428","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The images coming from these new surveys are hyperspectral (having up to a few dozen bands) and noisy (due to limitations on telescope resolution and atmospheric conditions), present faint and saturated signals, and can amount to tens of terabytes. This unique set of characteristics make them very attractive for trying out deep learning methods. In this short paper, we present a multiband image classifier for stars, galaxies and quasars, and propose steps towards a semi-supervised scheme that could enable the discovery of new objects.","PeriodicalId":119031,"journal":{"name":"Anais Estendidos da Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images (SIBGRAPI)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129144377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, we introduce in this dissertation a novel method for visual analysis of dynamic networks, which relies on the graph wavelet theory. Our method enables the automatic analysis of a signal defined on the nodes of a network. We use a fast approximation of the graph wavelet transform to derive a set of wavelet coefficients, which are then used to identify activity patterns on large networks, including their temporal recurrence. The wavelet coefficients naturally encode spatial and temporal variations of the signal, leading to an efficient and meaningful representation. This method allows for the exploration of the structural evolution of the network and their patterns over time. The effectiveness of our approach is demonstrated using different scenarios and comparisons involving real dynamic networks.","PeriodicalId":119031,"journal":{"name":"Anais Estendidos da Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images (SIBGRAPI)","volume":"105 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117200680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A avaliação precisa é importante para a análise do crescimento do feto, diagnóstico de malformações e de possíveis doenças congênitas, garantindo assim o bem-estar da mãe e do feto durante a gravidez. Porém, para uma medição precisa de estruturas anatômicas do feto é necessário conhecimento especializado do médico obstetra. Além de ser um processo tedioso e demorado, a extração do contorno é influenciada pela sua experiência. Neste sentido, o objetivo do trabalho é propor a adaptação da rede neural completamente convolucional V-Net para segmentação de crânios fetais presentes em imagens de ultrassonografia bidimensional, além da construção de um algoritmo para o cálculo da circunferência dos mesmos. Resultados preliminares sugerem que a metodologia pode ser utilizada de forma automática como ferramenta auxiliar no acompanhamento do desenvolvimento fetal.","PeriodicalId":119031,"journal":{"name":"Anais Estendidos da Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images (SIBGRAPI)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121417314","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Restrict Boltzmann Machines (RBMs) are among the most employed techniques, which are energy-based stochastic neural networks composed of two layers of neurons whose objective is to estimate the connection weights between them. Recently, the scientific community spent much effort on sampling methods since the effectiveness of RBMs is directly related to the success of such a process. Thereby, this work contributes to studies concerning different training algorithms for RBMs, as well as its variants Deep Belief Networks and Deep Boltzmann Machines. Further, the work covers the application of meta-heuristic methods concerning a proper fine-tune of these techniques. Moreover, the validation of the model is presented in the context of image reconstruction and unsupervised feature learning. In general, we present different approaches to training these techniques, as well as the evaluation of meta-heuristic methods for fine-tuning parameters, and its main contributions are: (i) temperature parameter introduction in DBM formulation, (ii) DBM using adaptive temperature, (iii) DBM meta-parameter optimization through meta-heuristic techniques, and (iv) infinity Restricted Boltzmann Machine (iRBM) meta-parameters optimization through meta-heuristic techniques.","PeriodicalId":119031,"journal":{"name":"Anais Estendidos da Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images (SIBGRAPI)","volume":"275 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123493801","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
