Hernández-Suárez, Raúl Prada-Núñez","doi":"10.22463/17948231.3017","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22463/17948231.3017","url":null,"abstract":"Este artículo es un avance de los resultados derivados de una investigación que pretende determinar las debilidades y fortalezas que exhiben los estudiantes de décimo grado de una institución educativa de carácter privado al momento de resolver problemas algebraicos. Se adopta un enfoque cuantitativo a nivel descriptivo de corte transversal. Se selecciona una muestra no probabilística de tamaño 40 estudiantes, con edad promedio de 15 años a los que se les aplica un cuestionario compuesto por 15 ítems en dónde se proponen situaciones cotidianas o de interés general en las que se articulan diversos registros semióticos de representación. A nivel general, se encontró un nivel de desacierto de 54% de los casos. En cuanto a las fortalezas, se resalta que al menos tres de cada cuatro estudiantes pueden articular correctamente entre enunciados de situaciones cotidianas con su respectivo registro gráfico en dos dimensiones dónde se relaciona las variables Tiempo vs otra variable como Velocidad, Temperatura o Longitud. Traditional AE source location in tanks floors is performed using only the wavefronts that have traveled directly from the source to the sensor (direct hit). The wavefronts captured after reflected from the tank walls are identified and discarded. This paper proposes a new AE source location algorithm in tanks that considers a combination of reflections and direct hits. The proposed algorithm is based on time-reversed acoustics and ray theory. The methodology uses the concept of time-reversed acoustics in which a wave detected at any location can be directed back to the source when re-created at the detection place. Therefore, the developed approach takes the time at which each wave arrives to the sensor and sends it back as if time had reversed. Ray theory is used in the methodology to account for the way in which the wavefront is reflected when encounters an obstacle such as the walls of the tank. Then, the point of intersection of all wavefronts is identified using an optimization algorithm. This point where all wavefronts intersect is considered the location of the source. The location algorithm considers the first path or direct hits from the source to the sensors combined with reflections obtained by wavefronts bouncing from the tank walls. Then, in the female gender between 15 and 17 years old, emotions such as hysteria, extroversion, were present in the students, in a second order; ages 18 to 25 of the same gender, exhibiting being stress and hypochondriasis. In such a way these personality traits influence young university students either in their environment, particularly in the socialization processes with levels of anxiety, feelings of sadness or disorder such as depression, aggressiveness that affect the student in their learning process and interaction with their educational community and in professional training. Prada-Núñez","doi":"10.22463/17948231.2949","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22463/17948231.2949","url":null,"abstract":"This article is the result of a research that aims to analyze the pedagogical practices of teachers and in particular to investigate the presence and promotion of mathematical processes proposed by the Ministry of National Education of Colombia. This report focuses on the process of formulating and solving mathematical problems, considering all aspects of pedagogical practices framed in the teaching framework such as planning and preparation of classes, learning environments, learning strategies and professional responsibilities. Each of these is considered a fundamental pillar for the process of self-reflection and improvement of teachers in the classroom. As for the adopted methodology, it adjusts to the characteristics of the quantitative approach, at a descriptive level with a field design. The members of the sample are a group of 80 teachers who work in public or private institutions in Cúcuta and its metropolitan area. A questionnaire was applied that has been validated and consists of 9 items that correspond to the problem-solving process and 34 items correspond to the block of pedagogical practices that are evaluated using a five-level Likert scale. The results found allow us to highlight that 83.6% of the teachers’ state that when planning their classes, they pose problem situations using different types of support and identifying what their students are expected to learn. Based on the analysis of pedagogical practices, it is intended to answer in future research the questions: What is the mathematical process that teachers promote in the classroom? What aspects do teachers take into account when planning the class with respect to the mathematical processes. El objetivo del documento es contrastar la hipótesis de que el uso de herramientas tecnológicas en las clases del curso de MAT003 Cálculo II mejora el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. Para ello se diseñó un cuasiexperimento con tres niveles de tratamientos cuya variable dependiente esta representada por la nota del segundo examen parcial en la asignatura. El primer grupo experimental usó videos y software matemáticos como apoyo a las clases y el segundo grupo únicamente videos, el tercer tratamiento estuvo constituido por el grupo control. Como variables de control se tomaron las notas del curso de cálculo I y del primer parcial de la asignatura de cálculo II, las cuales no mostraron tener diferencias significativas entre los diferentes grupos. Se aplicó un análisis de varianza con corrección de Welch y se calcularon los tamaños de efecto entre los tratamientos. {"title":"Rendimiento escolar en matemáticas de estudiantes de primaria en el municipio de Tibú Norte de Santander","authors":"José Trinidad Pérez-Cabrales","doi":"10.22463/17948231.2593","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22463/17948231.2593","url":null,"abstract":"Este proyecto de investigación tiene como propósito indagar sobre los factores sociales económicos, políticos y culturales asociados en el aprendizaje de las matemáticas en estudiantes de básica primaria del municipio de Tibú como zona de conflicto armado. \u0000La investigación realizada se hizo con un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo, En la cual participaron 47 estudiantes 21 padres de familia y 10 docentes.  A los participantes se les aplicó una entrevista enfatizando los factores sociales, económicos y culturales que inciden el rendimiento escolar de los estudiantes. \u0000Dentro de los resultados se evidencia que: los estudiantes son utilizados para realizar trabajos en el campo, además no reciben el apoyo emocional y económico de sus padres en la orientación de sus tareas y la compra de los implementos educativos necesario para el desarrollo de su actividad académica. En cuanto a los docentes del área, no están motivados y por lo tanto no motivan a sus estudiantes y el desarrollo de sus clases son monótonas y aburridas. Los padres de familia en su mayoría son de muy de bajo recursos económicos y su grado de escolaridad es baja. Se aplicó un diseño descriptivo con dos instrumentos. Los resultados permitieron detectar que, de los 12 errores que se tomaron como dimensiones de estudio, siguiendo a García (2010), se replican ocho, siendo el más significativo el error de cálculo simple. Se puede concluir que los errores que se evidencian, muy bien podrían ser producto de sus experiencias de aprendizaje que han tenido en sus estudios previos.
