The evaluation of the technical condition, done with the double purpose of extending its life and reducing the risk of defect, is a complex and important activity, depending on the importance of the transformer in the system. Whether it's routine investigations or special investigations that appeal to the latest techniques and methods of measurement, in order to get a correct diagnosis, the measured data must be as accurately determined, correlated and evaluated on the basis of applicable technical regulations, the latest recommendations and information from the literature, and last but not least, the similar experience. This paper will show a case study for the variation of the load efficiency (the yield) as well as some economical aspects, based on real measurements and technical data.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134470401","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the standard power inverters have extremely low inertia elements, the modern power systems meet insufficiency inertia to maintain the grid stability. In virtual synchronous generator (VSG) technique, virtual inertia is emulated in the power inverters by implementing swing equation and as a result, grid inertia is increased and grid stability will be satisfied. Although grid inertia issue is solved by VSG control, dealing with some power quality problems, such as grid current harmonic, which occurs in bad situations, has not been considered in this control theory. In this paper, a control approach based on a combination of VSG technique and amended fractional-order repetitive control (AFORC) is presented for grid-connected inverters to cope with the mentioned problem. The results of simulation studies proved that the proposed method besides fulfilling the main VSG objectives, such as transient frequency response enhancement and increasing total inertia of the power systems, it also can extremely diminish harmonic components of the current injected to the grid in the presence of distorted grid voltage and unbalanced nonlinear rectifier loads.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133312904","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper is focused on control of stable, 2ndorder, continuous systems with overdamped step response. There are 2 main types of control algorithms of the on-off controller: comparative mode and fixed frequency mode. Both algorithms share a few differences, such as regulation time, precision and quality of control process. But the main difference is control logic. In the comparative mode, the controller output is switched based on the comparison of desired state and the actual state of a system. On the other hand, the control algorithm of fixed frequency mode is given by functionality between the input signal and the controlled variable. In addition to basic control algorithms, a new type of control was tested: hybrid mode. This mode combines advantages of comparative mode and fixed frequency mode, to improve dynamics of the regulation process of the two-position controller.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130120099","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Safety measures, both for environment as well as for human operators are mandatory. The realistic assessment of the magnetic field induction nearby these facilities is one important stage before adopting new design features or limiting the human exposure. This paper presents some measurements of the magnetic field induction, taken by our team, mostly at the Fantanele 220 kV/110 kV/20 kV Power Station, located in the Central Region of Romania and owned by the National Power System Operator, TRANSELECTRICA S.A. This case study will be completed with some electrical field measurements, for a better perspective on the electromagnetic field parameters. Data is also used for the refurbishment of the existing power facilities.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134621655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
