In contrast to conventional power systems, dynamic characteristics of power electronic interface strongly depends on the implemented control. This leads to imperative changes in the test and validation method of power electronic interface. This paper presents a new test and validation method based on hardware-in-loop tests in order to adapt to the future power system. Through this new method, equipment manufacturers can speed up the development-testing-certification period of their product and obtain product certification. The grid operator can obtain a credible power electronic interface - grid system stability validation report with the model verified by the hardware-in-loop test.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126273573","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For correct and effective regulation/control of the LV transformers, it is important to respect real voltage magnitude profile along the grid, to set appropriate tap. Deployment of Smart Metering offers an opportunity to obtain required voltage data in all points of connection. In terms of communication, power line communication is typically employed, nevertheless some limitations in data availability (due to communication delay or even temporary loss) for the transformers real tine autonomous control are expected. Various scenarios tested by means of simulations are proposed and performance of voltage stabilization systems of progressive technology level are compared and discussed in terms of their effectiveness and accuracy.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131927938","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even if their construction is rather simple resulting in high reliability, some unexpected faults can occur during their operation. Among them, the stator winding faults belong to the most common failures. In this paper, the simulation has been carried out for stator coil-to-ground fault using COMSOL Multiphysics software. This failure causes highly unbalanced stator currents causing changes in rotor currents, motor inner torque, speed, etc. Some simulation results are presented and discussed in this paper.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133781401","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

That is, why fire resistant, flame retardant and halogen-free cables are more used in public buildings. Their using can improve fire safety and fire rescue capability. Although, the fire performance is a priority for these cables, we cannot neglect the others important properties of core insulation. Changes of electro physical properties may be related with modifications of insulation in order to limit smoke, fumes and halogen or improve their fire resistance and maintain circuit integrity of vital emergency services (e.g. fire alarm). New insulation materials and cable constructions should be tested for different operating environment and emergency situations. The intention of our experiment was to simulate unexpected events during operation such as flooding of cable systems and water ingress through the open ends of the cables or damaging of the sheath. The paper presents the results of laboratory tests of fire resistant cable insulated cores with different types of flame barrier in case of long-term contact with water.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128382246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Modeling, simulation and optimization of the proposed hybrid microgrid system including traditional and renewable power sources, energy storage systems and loads are performed by HOMER software based on the total net present cost. Gonbadekavoos industrial park in north-eastern Iran is considered as a domestic grid-connected microgrid and input data such as load, solar radiation, wind speed and energy price profiles are adapted from Gonbadekavoos region. Different configurations of power sources along with energy price sensitivity analysis in three periods of low, intermediate and peak load periods are investigated. Obtained results illustrate impact of energy prices on the integration rate of energy generating units specifically renewable energy fraction in order to minimize the operating cost of microgrid.","PeriodicalId":117212,"journal":{"name":"2019 20th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121791234","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
