Many countries accentuate education quality, keeping the latter a priority of all education system. The Polish education system has faced various changes over the last few years. The Polish educa-tion system is close to the Lithuanian system, it distinguishes itself in deep traditions. It is always interesting what challenges are encountered abroad, how the education process is organized, what teaching and learning environment looks like, what challenges the 21st century education meets. One can notice that school, municipality and community collaboration is extremely vivid in Polish schools, a very great attention is devoted to history and geography, patriotism and citi-zenship education. This is also very important for Lithuanian education. Both Lithuanian and Polish education become not resistant to the influence of globalization. As Duoblienė notices (2011), globalization leaves less and less space for separate states to solve problems, especially in education sphere. For example, regardless that Poland is a much bigger state than Lithuania con-cerning both territory and population, similar problems are characteristic of both countries. For example, in Poland the same as in Lithuania are observed poor demographic tendencies, emigra-tion and other. \u0000The previous time (Lamanauskas, 2017) we were talking with professor Anna Klim-Klimaszewska from the Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities. The research employed a descriptive survey research design. One research question and one null hypothesis guided the research. The population consisted of 13,741 academic and senior administrative staff from 6 State Universities in South-South Nigeria. The Multi-stage sampling procedure was used to determine the sample size. In the second stage sampling, Proportionate Stratified Sampling Technique was used with each University serving as a stratum to obtain the number of staff members that is proportionate, which resulted in the sample size of 389 respondents. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire designed by the researcher. Cronbach Alpha statistic was used to determine the internal consistency of the items. The result of the research, among others, showed both academic and administrative staff perceived that State Universities manage their staff personnel to a high extent or relatively well and that there was a significant difference between the mean rating scores of academic and administrative staff on the extent to which staff personnel are managed in State universities of South-South Nigeria. Academic and administrative staff perceived that financial resources were managed in State universities in South-South Nigeria relatively well. This means that the relative difficulties perceived to have been encountered by the products of State Universities in South-South Nigeria are either environmental or a result of other variables or dynamics that require deciphering for further research. The result showed that State governments, university managements, parents, scholarship boards, etcetera may confidently send their wards to State universities of South-South Nigeria also called the Niger Delta, for inculcation of university goals. A multiplication is a mathematical operation characterized by complex mathematical connections. Students are early introduced with the multiplication. Therefore, in primary school, not so developed cognition of mathematical connections may become a reason for difficulties in Maths.\u0000A functionality of concept is based on a view to a multiplication. The analysis scientific literature revealed that a thinking of multiplication can be either additive or multiplicative.\u0000Additionally, the multiplication learning has a variety of additive and multiplicative explanations. Because they use different specificity of visualization, the models are not equally suitable for teaching children about different properties of multiplication. Based on research, in Math classes, students are only introduced with few of the models, not covering a whole variety of them. \u0000In the research, a paper and pencil type of survey consisted of 157 participants from 3rd and 4th Grades, eight different classes from four different schools. The students had to fill the table explaining multiplication of 5 x 12 in a form of writing and drawing. \u0000The quantitative analysis of results has showed that in Grades 3 to 4, the additive view to multiplication is much more prevalent, in comparison to the multiplicative reasoning. The array model is used often but not in an extensive way. The students do not know other types of multiplicative type models. In conclusion, the results showed that students of Grades 3rd and 4th knew not enough about the mathematical connections. Therefore, teachers should pay more attention to teaching students various ways of visualizing, for children, to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the multiplication process.\u0000Acknowledgement. Primary school teachers and student parents split into two groups. Some of them are for going back to primary school student achievement evaluation by marks. The others think that descriptive evaluation suits very well for this age students and shows real child’s achievements, individual progress. The latter are sure that Lithuania goes in the right way, the way that progressive Scandinavian countries have chosen. An interview with a primary school teacher-expert, reveals difficulties which primary school teachers encounter evaluating students’ progress. On the 17th -20th of June this year, the 3rd International Baltic Symposium on Science and Technology Education BalticSTE2019 took place in Šiauliai. The topic of the Symposium was “Science and Technology Education: Current Challenges and Possible Solutions”. More than 50 scientists from 20 countries participated in the symposium. Comparing with the symposium which took place in 2017, the geographical distribution of the participants is significantly wider. Ukrainian, Serbian, Romanian, Malaysian researchers participated in the symposium for the first time.\u0000Natural science education requires constant researcher attention in the rapidly changing technological age, new educational methodologies and innovative educational approaches. The symposium reporter analysed topic spectrum is wide – from global warming of the climate, climate change to philosophical methodological and education evaluation questions. \u0000One of this international symposium ideas is – to show that Baltic region countries also actively participate in natural science and technology education research, especially in STEAM context. Object of the research: Problems of career development of 7-8 grade students in general education schools of Kupiškis region municipality. The aim of the research was to determine how career development in region schools is being pursued, to identify existing problems and to anticipate improvement opportunities. Five teachers of region general education schools, responsible for career development, participated in the research. The structured individual interview was used to obtain the survey data.\u0000 The results of the research revealed that the career education of 7-8 grade students is not carried out in all the schools in the region: in five of the seven schools there is a career counselor who does not guarantee a comprehensive career development for students. Not all the teachers in the region, who are responsible for career development, are trained as a career specialist. A career counsellor at school is the only person, who is responsible for career development, but he has more responsibilities and cannot give enough attention to the career development of students. Career Information optional subject in grades 7-8 is provided only in two schools curriculum. Students' vocational information is mainly provided in the schools. So, we could also include the existence of harmony in social relations, economical welfare, the climate of equality, and justice in political relations or said in a more concentrated way, the picture of a state without war and conflicts. But another definition for peace includes even keeping the balance in human relations, tolerance, and the way of resolving problems through dialog and deals between the two conflicted groups. Peace is a typical and a dominating element in a democratic society, because it is built on the strong foundations of respect for the universal law of freedom and human rights. However, the concept of peace, has not escaped from the different interpretations varying on the circumstances and conditions of the existence of a population, culture and cultural level it inherits, also historical and political context of the time. The study analyzes some of the philosophical concepts on peace, its evolution in the flow of history and the need of it in our modern era. The laws highlight that an educational institution has to ensure that every student attending it knows where, when and how to get the service of career education and vocational counselling. The research aimed at revealing functions of education specialists working in five biggest municipalities in Marijampole county, as well as guiding the implementation of career education in gymnasiums within Marijampole region. In order to find education specialists‘ opinion, a structured interview was carried out. The research data revealed that the service of career education is available in educational institutions. However, according to the position of the respondents, the service is not adequate to satisfy students` needs. The service of career education is not consistent, furthermore, career education specialists do not have an opportunity to achieve high quality in service provision since it lacks adequate financial support.
