The analysis is carried out on a theoretical and methodological basis, including research of the theory of the nation and nationalism, issues of ethnicity, imperial issues, memory policy and historical policy in the post-Soviet space. The efforts of Ukraine to implement the policy of memory, its origins and prerequisites are analyzed. The natural character and direction of this activity, conditioned by the specifics of nation-building in the imperial and Soviet periods, is shown. The main directions, elements, and means of implementing the policy of memory are aimed at forming the foundations of the Ukrainian nation, tearing it off from historical Russia and aiming at spreading Russophobic mythology. Special attention is paid to historical politics as a tool for reforming mass consciousness and implanting Ukrainian identity. The researched factual material made it possible to draw several conclusions about the consequences of the implementation of the memory policy. In particular, after decommunization the theme of decolonization gains increasing importance in Ukraine, being aimed at an even more radical division of the Russian and Ukrainian ethnic groups, of their common historical heritage. In general, the politics of memory may be regarded as an important condition and tool for constructing a new border between Russia and Ukraine.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124262846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current mechanisms of cooperation in this area are studied, conjunctural and systemic barriers to integration are identified, taking into account deep changes in the geopolitical and geo-economic sense, and the prospects for overcoming them are assessed. Special attention is paid to the study of promising cooperative projects that, according to the author, can not only give a “fresh” impetus to the general practice of scientific and educational interaction in the EAEU, but also bring the cooperation of the states of the region to a new level of interaction, provide the much-needed complexity to the entire project of Eurasian integration. In conclusion, the author attempts to build further projections of integration in the field of education, science and training in the Eurasian direction.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"2015 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116966149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Базовыми принципами программы являются введение в рыночный оборот сельскохозяйственных земель, приватизация и сдача в аренду государственной и муниципальной собственности, продвижение по пути сближения с ЕС. Автор считает, что положительные цели составителей программы не подкреплены проработанными инструментами и механизмами их достижения. Кроме того, программа не содержит макроэкономический прогноз (структурные сдвиги в экономике, структура экспорта, стоимость кредитов). Продажа сельхозземли не поддерживается подавляющим большинством украинского общества. Делается вывод о том, что предложенная новым правительством страны программа деятельности, вероятно, могло бы способствовать продвижению Украины по пути реформ, однако достижение поставленных целей представляется весьма сомнительным.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117132040","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It’s indicative that only 7 deputies (out of 35) of the previous convocation were re-elected. At least 23 members of the new parliament can be considered pro-government. The opposition is fragmented, but the pro-government forces cannot be considered united. The request for the formation of a “third force” isn’t satisfied. Crisis phenomena in the socio-political and economic spheres continue to have a destabilizing effect on the situation in the republic, some positive changes and implemented projects don’t have a decisive impact. The proposals to amend the Constitution, which provided for the deprivation of Karakalpakstan of its status as a sovereign republic, became a trigger for mass protest movements. The participation of external forces in the events in Nukus indicated a possible increase in the trend towards destabilization in Uzbekistan. Against this background, the republic’s relations with the Eurasian integration structures, primarily with the EAEU, are developing.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116464431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

В результате распада СССР на территории Украины осталось примерно 25% производственных мощностей советского государства. После обретения Украиной независимости в течение нескольких лет произошло стремительное сокращение объемов военного производства. Украинский военно-промышленный комплекс практически не образовывал замкнутых производственных циклов, и в своей работе сильно зависел от кооперационных связей с Россией. До 2014 г. военная промышленность выживала преимущественно за счет экспортных контрактов, так как национальный оборонный заказ был крайне незначительным. Начавшаяся гражданская война на Юго-Востоке страны не смогла полностью переломить эту тенденцию. Необходимость с одной стороны откликаться на потребности собственной армии, но в то же время учитывать и конъюнктуру, объективно сложившуюся на мировом рынке вооружений, ставит перед военно-промышленным комплексом Украины взаимоисключающие требования.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122502420","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such a request is keenly felt in Belarus, which is at the epicenter of the current European crisis that has unfolded around the future of Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to investigate the factors influencing the formation of the Belarusian ideology. The research method is to consider each factor, evaluate their correlation and their prospects. The analysis shows that the factors fall into two groups. One of them unites the aspirations to include Belarus in the system of Euro-Atlantic values. The other is to strengthen the international independence of Belarus. Fragments of both groups are represented in the modern Belarusian ideology. Belarus faces the task of consolidating and updating its ideology to unite the Belarusian society.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114584803","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Berdimuhamedow continued the course outlined by his father, the former president of the republic, to intensify relations with Russia, China and Turkey, the main foreign policy partners of Turkmenistan. For their part, the authorities of these countries are increasing their attention to Turkmenistan, based on their own goals. At the same time, if Beijing’s interest in this Central Asian republic has long materialized into large-scale gas and transport projects, then Moscow is speeding up cooperation with Ashgabat after a rather long break. The intensification of relations between Turkmenistan and Russia is in the interests of both countries: in the changed international conditions Russia needs new markets and export routes, while Turkmenistan can and is already deriving economic benefits from the development of trade and investment cooperation with the Russian Federation. As for Turkey, Ashgabat is reserved about R.Erdogan’s pan-Turkist ambitions, but shows interest in the gas projects he is promoting, which provide for the transportation of Turkmen gas to Europe bypassing Russia.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117088057","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
