The analysis of the world currency systems and substantiation of the need to change the world currency order is given. The concept of a two-level national currency system which based on the introduction of an additional gold national currency backed by gold is proposed. Such an innovation will significantly strengthen the savings function of the national currency and reduce the propensity of the population to dollarize their savings. It will also reduce the role of world currencies, which may become a new stage in the development of a new world monetary system. Ultimately, this may increase the role of national currencies in making payments in international trade and lead to a decline in the role of world reserve currencies. Gold national currency can be introduced in the form of banknotes, bank account and electronic money. The technical solution depends on the specifics and capabilities of each country, as well as on the preferences of the local population. With the growth of the gold national currency in savings and the use of national currencies in international trade, the two-tier national currency system will become more stable.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117089663","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the first half of 2020, Byelorussia and Ukraine actively cooperated in the economic sphere. Minsk's resistance to integration with Russia was supported by Ukraine. Kiev also depended on fuel supplies from Byelorussia. Despite the political confrontation that began in August 2020, Minsk and Kiev have maintained stable economic relations. In the first half of 2021, political antagonism intensified. However, this situation did not have a clear negative impact on the economic relations between Byelorussia and Ukraine.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126920338","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The course of the campaign itself is described, portraits of the main candidates for the presidency are given. Separately, the reasons for the loss of the current president Anatoly Bibilov and the victory of Alan Gagloev are analyzed. The first steps of Gagloev at the presidential post are also considered. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the issue of the possibility of holding a referendum on the accession of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation. This issue is considered not only through the prism of the domestic policy of South Ossetia, but also from the standpoint of Russian policy in the Caucasus.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114204627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Однако после победы «майданной революции» 2014 г. новые украинские власти начали культивировать идеологию, исторически неприемлемую и оскорбительную для польского национального сознания. Особенно это касается героизации национал-радикалов периода Второй мировой войны, ставших идеологическими вдохновителями победивших на «майдане» сил. В результате польско-украинские отношения попали в серьезную зависимость от актуальных вопросов исторической политики, оказавшихся принципиальными для политических режимов обеих стран. Новый президент Украины Владимир Зеленский, избранный весной 2019 г., намерен преодолеть кризис в отношениях двух стран. Тем не менее, есть основания полагать, что проблемное прошлое продолжит выступать серьезным препятствием для полноценного межгосударственного диалога.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128049040","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the moment, there is a crisis in the relationship. It is caused by the EU’s refusal to grant Georgia candidate status. The reasons for the refusal are the increasing political confrontation between the government and the opposition, the bureaucratization and oligarchization of the country, problems with respect for human rights. In order for Georgia's application to be reviewed again, the country must fulfill in 6 months 12 conditions put forward by the European Commission.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128145936","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A hypothetical possibility of turning the INSTC into an alternative to the Suez Canal has been considered; the potential of other transport logistic projects (TRACECA, “Belt and Road Initiative”, etc.) has been correlated with the INSTC. Main directions of the INSTC routes have been examined taking Russia’s interests into account. In this context attention is paid to development of Russia’s southern regions and its Caspian seaports in the framework of the INSTC. Russia’s interaction with Iran and India, which are key participants of the INSTC, is taken into account. The prospects for the implementation of this project are identified also in terms of promoting the Eurasian integration process.","PeriodicalId":114903,"journal":{"name":"Russia and New States of Eurasia","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115794393","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
