Quraish Shihab is an expert in the field of Ulumul Qur'an and one of the Muslim scientists who actively expresses his thoughts through writing. He has written at least 50 books and received positive responses from the public. Some of his works are in the best seller category and printed many times. \"Tafsir Al-Misbah\" is his spectacular work which consists of fifteen volumes. This article expresses his thoughts on dakwah. The author examines several of his books that discuss the dakwah and its interpretation of the concept or method of preaching the Qur'an. The results of this study found that he divided the dakwah in two parts, namely al-Ittisal Ghairu al-Lafdzy and al-Ittisal al-lafdzy. Likewise, based on the chronology of the verse about the dakwah command to the Prophet, he concluded that the content and methods cannot be separated from the preacher. Similarly, the dakwah content is not out of date then the breadth of absolute insight, that is what the first verse hinted down. In terms of the method of dakwah, he distinguishes according to the conditions of mad'u based on the interpretation of surah An-Nahl verse 125. In terms of content, he does not agree with some preachers such as a description of the events of the migration of the Prophet Muhammad who emphasized the supernatural dimension. Furthermore he argued verse 120 of Surah Al-Baqarah as a basis for apostasy efforts, and verse 33 of Surah Ar-Rahman as a commandment to seek knowledge as often preached by some preachers. This article is expected to add to the treasury of knowledge, especially the guidance of the Koran (Al-Qur’an) in the implementation of dakwah so that it can be accepted by both Muslim and non-Muslim as dakwah objects","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129496012","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study came to examine the detailed profiles of out-of-school children at pre-primary stage in Jordan in order to highlight the major barriers to school access and participation, analyze existing and emerging education policies and strategies to tackle key bottlenecks; and provide recommendations for improvement to policy makers. Data were collected from several sources utilizing both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Results showed that 41% (45,862) of pre-primary Jordanian students are currently not enrolled in schools. Additionally, female students seem to be more willing to attend pre-primary schools (59.7%) comparing to their male counterparts (58.3%). Several recommendations were offered to enhance the access and participation of pre-primary children in schools such as; establishing more pre-primary centers in urban areas and providing specialized professional development for Pre-primary teachers. Public relations in Qatar has emerged over the last three decades to become a well-established profession with international public relations firms, PR programs and majors in the department of Mass Communication at Qatar University and Northwestern University. The study investigates the backgrounds, professional orientations and working conditions of the female PR practitioners in Qatar, as well as their age, nationalities, professional values, PR and public opinion, PR functions and roles, PR ethics, concepts, working conditions and job satisfaction, PR and information technology. The study suggests that 94% of the female PR practitioners are nationals, 92% of them are married and hold a bachelor degree with one third of them majoring in public relations. In terms of professional values, the majority of the practitioners did not mention the strategic roles of PR such as research, strategic planning, managerial roles and decision-making support. Findings show that more than two thirds of the surveyed practitioners objected to the use of unethical methods to reach the goals of the organization. Practitioners in this study have also a strong belief that public relations play a major role in building a good corporate image for the organization and good relations with its publics. Women PR practitioners admit that public relations in Qatar focus on publicity and media liaising (Grunig Press a gentry and general Information models) and do not use research and lacks qualified professionals.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126897157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The antecedents are grouped into the following three constructs: “barriers to purchase”; “relations with the product” and “propensity to act” to protect the environment. A structural equation model is used to test whether the antecedents can predict the two action variables. The results show that the chosen antecedents are predictive indicators, but their degree of influence on the two endogenous variables differs. “Barriers to purchase” have a strong negative influence on intention and purchase, unlike \"relations with the product\", which positively but moderately influences intention and purchase. The \"propensity to act\" construct has a stronger influence on the intention to purchase than on the purchase.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123385035","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the context of Sri Lanka, this period was coincided with economic policy shifts, civil wars and changing global economic climate. This study uses a supply demand approach to identify how Sri Lanka responded to global demand for investment sites using domestic supply factors to attract FDIs. An ARDL method is employed to analyse the long run relationships of the determinants. It is revealed that Sri Lanka has failed to benefit from the surge in international demand for investment sites in developing countries in last few decades. However, continuous liberalisation efforts have been successful compared to meager FDI flows in the closed economy era. It is also found that prevalence of peaceful environment after the last civil war has helped Sri Lanka to attract more FDIs.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"139 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124368264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Organizational citizenship behavior was in debate regards it is positive and negative consequences through the literature, most of the studies support the conclusion of organizational commitment that leads to organizational citizenship behavior, other studies support the opposite. However, the mediating relationship of organizational citizenship behaviors between leadership styles and organizational commitment is not developed by previous studies. Therefore, the use of the mediating variable gives more insight into the relationship between the dependent and independent variables and contributes to the clarity of conclusions. This study found that leadership presents a positive significant relationship with organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior, and organizational citizenship behavior positively and significantly affects organizational commitment and partially mediates the relationship between the two variables.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127765262","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The majority of their research focuses on topics such as knowledge typology, knowledge transfer and creation, and knowledge storage and retrieval. There are nonetheless many other essential issues surrounding (KM) that need to shed light on. One very important issue that is still ignored is the roots of organizational knowledge (OK) in classical management theories (CMT).Management is the heart of any organization, therefore it is critical for managers to know about management theories for leadership and management success. The traditional theories are the backbone of all theories of management. Knowledge is the organization’s most important strategic resource that can provide organizations with a sustainable competitive advantage. The purpose of this paper is to theatrically address (OK) and intercept its main roots in (CMT). According to the awareness, there are only a few studies handled this issue and here lies the importance of this paper.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127875564","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The underlying technology of cryptocurrencies, the Blockchain, may be an as disrupting technology leap as the invention of the Internet. In simple terms, Blockchain technology is a concatenation of blocks of information – transactions in the case of cryptocurrencies – with certain hashing algorithms using the hash values of previous blocks in the following ones. A copy of the entire Blockchain is stored on each participant’s computer. In case any Blockchain copy is manipulated, for example by changing the transactions data, the other participants will notice this manipulation and overwrite the faulty information. Blockchain technology is claimed to be a very secure technology for storing information. The aim of this paper, which is part of the research for my doctoral thesis, is to create a deeper understanding of what the Blockchain actually is and how its technology is capable of changing the way people interact with each other without a centralized trusted third party.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131985183","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Second, to what extent does the degree of Internet access affect male vs. female work absenteeism?
