Such a stance posits a question of whether this kind of scenario could be extended to other states that are afflicted by ethnicity and rival ethnic affiliations. In this paper, I examine this concept and explore its applicability to a country like Kenya at a time when President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto were publicly active adherents of Pentecostal theology leading to what was dubbed as the Pentocostalization of the presidency. Examining this borderline case using Hart’s fourfold criteria of rhetorical contract (guise of separation, guise of equality, appropriate language, and safeguarding contract terms),reveals that civil religion as is conceived in American societyalthough violated during the Bush Presidency 2001-2009was practiced in Uhuru’s Presidencyimplying that it is possible for the leading state politicians to affiliate closely with a sectarian religious theology without violating the ethos of civil religion.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"252 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114465110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper finds that the liquidity level of listed commercial banks in China has been declining, and the liquidity of different types of listed commercial banks in China is quite different. Among them, listed state-owned commercial banks have the highest long-term financing stability, followed by listed joint-stock commercial banks and city commercial banks.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123436441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Foreign direct investment in Mali has been largely confined to the natural resources especially mineral extraction. This study is an attempt to critically analyze the impact of globalization on the economic development of Mali. The research study adopts descriptive statistics, regression analysis and correlation employed to examine the relationship between globalization and economic growth and between globalization and inequality, recommendations are also given to Mali not be a victim of globalization. Drawing on the cognitive evaluation theory of emotion, we hypothesize a mediating model in which work-related identity discrepancy is associated with work withdrawal behavior. In examining this model, we further establish a link between work-related identity discrepancy and work withdrawal behavior and identify one pathway to explain this relationship. Based on a sample of 510 Chinese employees, we find support for a mediating model in which the association between work-related identity discrepancy and work withdrawal behavior via negative emotion. Findings from the current study contribute to our exploring the black box between work-related identity discrepancy and work withdrawal behavior.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121793111","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The critical customer information that resides within CRM can guide the decision-making process. Therefore, CRM analysis leads to higher loyalty and customer satisfaction, as well as enhanced competitive and financial performance. Data mining techniques are used to understanding customers and discovering interesting patterns. However, data mining techniques are considered a complicated process for non-technical decision makers and administrators. Therefore, the problem increases with the technical difficulty of large-scale CRM solutions for novice administrators and decision makers. This paper proposes a framework for the process of data mining in the context of analytical CRM to enhance the decision-making process. The paper also highlights the role of data mining in analytical CRM and how it assists the businesses to manage customer information better. The framework was evaluated and accepted by two senior CRM experts. The proposed framework revealed that there are still issues of customer data privacy and issues related to collected data types.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122646349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, eight variables are tested using Pearson Correlations to explore the relationships between stock market return and Standard Multiple Regression is conducted to investigate the prediction ability. Second, Pearson Correlations are repeated to find out whether the eight variables and stock market return have lead-lag relationships and run a regression again. Third, the data set is divided into two panels representing different investment environments. Panel A is when the growth rate of M1 greater than the growth rate of M2 while Panel B is when the growth rate of M2 greater than the growth rate of M1. The findings of this research show that six out of eight variables have lead-lag relationships with the stock market return. When dividing into two panels, most of the eight variables have a more slightly correlated relation with the stock market return and the prediction ability of the variables is stronger than the original data set.","PeriodicalId":108255,"journal":{"name":"International journal of business and social science","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123972837","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
