To take a customer-focused approach to service quality, we need KQIs to measure the level of service quality based on the customer experience. Therefore, in this paper, we essentially deal with the Web browsing service experienced by users as an internet service. In addition, we focus on data bearer with a wireless feature, since it is the foundation of the WiBro service. To develop the KQIs for Web browsing service and the data bearer based on the customer, we analyze a user action scenario and service transaction flow, service delivery architecture, network entry transaction flow, handover transaction flow, and web browsing transaction flow in WiBro service. Through this service model analysis, we identify KQIs based on the user.","PeriodicalId":105735,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fourth Advanced International Conference on Telecommunications","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128381167","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose an optimized mechanism for creation of fixed-size optical payloads filled with variable size electronic client packets. Our algorithm is called GPFO for graduated packet filling optimization. It avoids the need for complex segmentation methods. It also provides high network throughput and good performance results in terms of packet loss ratio and mean access delay. We investigated the performance of our algorithm throw simulation works. Using the ns simulator, our experiments are performed on an optical MAN network with a ring topology. Numerical results have shown that, compared to existing solutions, the GPFO enhances the network throughput and optimizes the global network performance in terms of queuing delay and bit loss ratio.","PeriodicalId":105735,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fourth Advanced International Conference on Telecommunications","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116739827","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the graph theory and previous approaches, it is developed to retain essential network links, improve their utilization, and ensure network reliability and survivability. A new cost-effective network structure is found subject to several important constraints. The proposed strategy composed of reduction, augmentation, and fine-tuning reduction, is tested for some IP-backbone networks. Furthermore, it can also contribute to other optical backbone (or access) network redesign problems.","PeriodicalId":105735,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fourth Advanced International Conference on Telecommunications","volume":"122 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126926790","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, they can perform bi- directionally with the same junction to both side of incoming signal. But, in this project, we introduced a new optical switching device which has an asymmetrical architecture and can perform bi- directionally junction as the previous. Additionally many junctions are also embedded in this architecture. The device named is Optical Cross Add and Drop Multiplexer (OXADM). The asymmetrical architecture oj OXADM consists oj 3 parts; selective port, add/drop operation, and path routing. Selective port permits only the interest wavelength pass through and acts as a filter. While add and drop function can be implemented in second part of OXADM architecture. The signals can then be re-routed to any port of output or/and perform an accumulation function which multiplex all signals onto one path and then exit to any interest output port. This will be done by the third part. The 'accumulation' is the most interesting jeatures and differentiates the OXADM with other previous device such as ROADM, OADM and OXC. We demonstrate fiber-to-fiber low crosstalk (60 dB ON/OFF ratio) and low return loss (40 dB ON/OFF ratio) of 2times2 OXADM optical switch with detail experimental set up explanation. More comprehensive, the existing switches (e.g directional coupler and OXC) and OXADM switch are compared. Finally, the OSNR measurement oj OXADM associated with every junction is also discussed.","PeriodicalId":105735,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fourth Advanced International Conference on Telecommunications","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130702476","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, transmission line is analyzed as a dispersive medium and some lands of coaxial cables such as RG58U, RG59U, RG213 and ECOFLEX15 are compared as GDV parameter point of view. Then the effect of reflections from discontinuities and impedance mismatches at transmission lines, on GDV quantity, is investigated by suggesting a novel network model of transmission line with discontinuity or impedance mismatch, and extracting a new formula for GDV. Graphical data are presented based upon the formula developed, and the simulation results are also given by AWR software which confirms the theory and formula. In this letter, a revised SI structure is designed for improving the transmission efficiency of MSR. And it will not introduce computational complexity or performance degradation.
