First, it is discussed that a 4T processing is preferable to conventional 4T/2T processing for a 1B4B/3B4B code from the standpoint of jitter reduction. Then 2B/4B codes are proposed where 3T and 1T processings are applicable. Dependence of jitter accumulation on the above schemes is tested in chains of repeaters. It is shown that these new codes can not only simplify hardware but also lead to improved jitter characteristic as compared with existing schemes.","PeriodicalId":105735,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fourth Advanced International Conference on Telecommunications","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132525606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The nodes in this network are free to move at any time, therefore network topology changes in unpredictable way. Since there is no fixed infrastructure support in MANETs, each node functions as a host and a router. Designing a reliable and scalable routing protocol for MANETs is a challenging task due to mobility and the continuous change in the topology. In this paper the reliability and scalability of Network Sender Multicast Routing Protocol (NSMRP) is studied by finding the effect of increasing the number of groups under different mobility scenarios on the data packet delivery ratio and the control packet overhead. The simulation results show that when the number of groups increases the data packet delivery ratio improves while the control packet overhead continues to decrease.","PeriodicalId":105735,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fourth Advanced International Conference on Telecommunications","volume":"504 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129731131","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This mode has symmetrical radiation pattern with low side lobe levels. In this paper the monopulse tracking technique using TE21 mode is analyzed. The key parameters of this technique including the linearity and slope of the error signal are calculated. Finally, by using of these parameters, estimation error such as mean, variance and consequent root mean square error (RMSE) of TE21 mode tracking technique versus SNR are presented.","PeriodicalId":105735,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fourth Advanced International Conference on Telecommunications","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129464371","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These infrastructures often share many similarities. Hence we believe a generic service delivery architecture, that allows service providers to offer a large array of different services on a shared infrastructure, would provide many advantages over current silo-based approaches. In this paper we propose the first step towards such an architecture, namely several algorithms for dynamically allocating server and network resources to a set of services and selecting a suitable service instance for each client. Service instances are placed on a set of servers, taking into account network resources (available bandwidth), server resources (CPU and memory) and service quality of service (QoS) demands (maximum transmission delay and bandwidth requirements). The optimization goal is to maximize the percentage of satisfied demand (answered requests) and minimize the total number of used servers for service hosting. Each service has a relative priority, which can be manually adjusted to influence the placement scheme.","PeriodicalId":105735,"journal":{"name":"2008 Fourth Advanced International Conference on Telecommunications","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125123142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
