The proposed control system compensates for unavoidable digital controller delays, and provides an accurate prediction of the ASF behaviour in the next sampling period. A \"two ahead\" current reference prediction is proposed which estimates the filter current two samples in advance. The predictor is based on a second order extrapolation method, and can also account for sudden changes in the reference waveform. A genetic algorithm is used for parameter optimisation in the reference prediction/extrapolation formula. In addition to good tracking performance, the proposed controller is insensitive to measurement noise. A fuzzy basis neuro-network is utilized for online tuning of the PI controller to ensure optimum drive performance. Neural Network based control is seen as an emerging technology for intelligent control of complex system. Here we consider an approach to model the controller for the AUV using Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN). RNN had been selected to model the system as it has very good capability to incorporate the dynamics of the system. The AUV dynamic equations had been modeled to obtain the data required for training the neural network. A controller has been developed which can learn change in the dynamics on the fly. Results have been shown for online learning controller. The algorithms are described and some results, obtained by simulation, are presented. By using the Tabu search meta-heuristic method, a set of tabu (i.e., forbidden) moves are defined in each iteration of the search to confine the robot's navigable locations, and guide it toward the goal. Based on range-sensor readings and the cost function value defined for each ray, the robot is attracted to certain obstacle vertices, and moves along a path consisted of lines connecting the vertices of different obstacles. Hence, the resulting trajectory has a local shortest path quality similar to the visibility graph roadmap. The planner also takes advantage of random moves when trapped in dead-ends. The ODE combines the conventional DE (CDE), which is simple and efficient, with the orthogonal design, which can exploit the optimum offspring. The ODE has some new features. (1) It uses a robust crossover based on orthogonal design and an optimal offspring is generated with the statistical optimal method. (2) Decision variable fraction strategy is applied to decrease the number of the orthogonal design combinations and make the algorithm converge faster. (3) The ODE simplifies the scaling factor F of the CDE, which can reduce the parameters of the algorithm and make it easy to use for engineers. We execute the proposed algorithm to solve twelve benchmark functions with low or high dimensions and a large number of local minima. Simulations indicate that the ODE is able to find the near-optimal solution in all cases. It is expected that by providing dynamic travel time to drivers, both the congestion in network and average individual cost will be reduced. So getting the knowledge of the efficiency of a VMS system is important to researchers and designers. In order to evaluate the effects of variable message signs at urban network, a simulation-based, time-dependent traffic assignment model is proposed in this paper. The model uses a cell-based network loading model and the method of successive average algorithm to achieve stochastic user equilibrium at each sampling interval. A numerical example of the VMS system in Beijing is used to illustrate the effects of the variable message signs. The evaluation process is both based on network level and user level in situations of recurrent congestion and non-recurrent congestion. The control principle was described, the trial control scheme was established, and the performance was verified by a 30 KW wind turbine trial platform .The trial results of control strategy were obtained on the process of synchronization and fore-and-aft getting connected to the grid.
