Generally the goal of the control theory is to make a given dynamical system behave in a user-specified manner as accurately as possible. This objective may be broken down into two separate tasks: control of plant dynamics and control of plant disturbance. Conventionally, one uses feedback to treat both two problems simultaneously. Compromises are necessary to achieve good solutions. \"Adaptive inverse control\" presents such a new concept to treat the two control tasks separately without compromise. All of the required operations are based on adaptive filtering techniques. In this paper adaptive inverse control is used to correct the output current waveform of the voltage source inverter, and filtered-x LMS adaptive inverse control algorithm is used to identify the parameters and design the controllers. Further, the preliminary design is simulated as a series hybrid fuel cell li-ion battery vehicle model in PSAT software. The power flow among vehicle components are plotted and analyzed. This observer can be used to estimate the precise rotor position and rotor speed in the servo systems with only optical encoder of limited accuracy. By using the observed rotor speed and position instead of the values got directly from the encoder, the speed and position control performances can be greatly improved. The observer can also give the load torque which can be used as the feedforward compensation of the speed PI controller. The compensation can greatly improve the speed control performance during load torque change. The extended Kalman filter is used to solve the nonlinear equation of the observer, considering the influence of the parameter errors and the noise in measurement. Teleoperation system enables an operator to undertake precise work in such inaccessible or hazardous environment. In bilateral teleoperation, the transmission of force sensation is important. In other words, the impedance transmitted to an operator should be equal to environmental impedance. That is the goal of bilateral teleoperation and defined as transparency. Also, it is possible to alter force sensation by using bilateral control. This idea is valuable when the characteristics of task impedance are different from those of human world, such as micro world. In case of tele-manipulating the objects which are in the place where the characteristics are different from those in human world, work performance would be improved if an operator can manipulate the objects as they are in human world. In this paper, we propose the impedance shaping based on bilateral control. A detailed model of the induction motor describing the actual layout and geometry of the stator phase windings and rotor bars is essential for the simulation and analysis of induction motor under fault mode of operation. The performance of the motor depends on actual physical construction of the motor. Even a newly manufactured motor may have unequal stator phases, rotor bars and non uniform air-gap. This paper addresses simulation and experimental validation of coupled circuit model useful for asymmetrical as well as fault mode operation of three phase squirrel cage induction motor. A new three phase squirrel cage induction motor is considered for the validation of the coupled circuit model under healthy condition. The model parameters are determined experimentally or calculated from motor geometry. The magnetizing inductances are calculated using winding function method. The model is used for the simulation of air gap eccentricity mode of motor operation. Fault diagnosis methods use either current, flux, vibration, speed or temperature for the diagnosis of internal faults. Compared to the classical boost converter, the structure has been slightly modified which offers the advantage of reduced voltage stress across the buffer capacitor and due to a transformer the voltage transformation rate is changed. The classical and most common converter uses a simple inductor, leading to the disadvantage of extreme duty ratios when high voltage transfer ratios are needed. To meet such requirements, a tapped inductor (autotransformer) can be used instead of the ordinary inductor thus avoiding excessive duty ratios. After basic analyses in the continuous inductor current mode, important data for the dimensioning of the components, like the voltage and the current stress, and the equations for the component values are given. Moreover, a state space model and linearized transfer functions for the control of the converter are derived. When transformed into a bidirectional converter, it can be used for coupling two voltage links and as a two quadrant chopper for DC motors. To verify the proper function of this modified boost topology, a small test converter has been designed. Control scheme is mainly based on active and reactive power loops and contains following additional blocks: virtual flux and filter-capacitor voltage estimators for sensorless operation, active damping (AD) of possible resonances in LCL filter connecting converter to the grid, PWM modulator with DC link voltage balancing and minimization of switching losses. It is shown that the proposed control method exhibits several features as: sensorless operation, robust algorithm, minimization of switching losses as well as simple tuning procedure of AD. The three-level ac-dc converter draws sinusoidal ac current from the supply and keeps the dc-link voltage constant. Hysteresis current controller is used for current control of the front-end converter because of its simplicity, easy implementation and good performance. A diode clamped multilevel inverter is used for driving induction motor operating under DTFC scheme. A new technique that ensures constant flux control for forward motoring and reverse motoring is proposed. This technique enables soft starting of the drive. In the proposed drive system, the DTFC principle can be applied in the entire speed range. Simulation results of three-level converter-inverter system demonstrate the validity of the proposed hysteresis current control method. The converter is found to be stable for a large range of hysteresis band. DC link voltage across each capacitor is maintained constant and balanced. An excellent approach to these solutions is to install combined heat and power systems that can be configured to operate under normal conditions to supply local power needs but with grid back up. Cogeneration is also called 'total energy' or 'combined heat and power'. It is the use of a single fuel such as gas to simultaneously produce useful heat and electricity from the same source. While cogeneration matches other power generation options in terms of the investment costs, it provides an indigenous source of the electrical energy for the nation, saves on foreign exchange, is a tool for the employment and wealth creation and agent for abatement of environmental degradation. A significant potential exists for generating electricity from various products such as bagasse, a waste product of the cane milling process, agricultural, animal, municipal solid waste etc. Several studies in India and other parts of the world, point to the sugar industry as a prime candidate for supplying low cost, non-conventional power via cogeneration. The different systems have been designed for electricity generation from all types of wastes. The major power outages in North America and Europe have resulted in focus on developing energy technologies like domestic scale micro CHP (combined heat and power) to reduce the reliance of the consumers on large generators and the grid. This paper focuses on coal-based cogeneration. A case study of 24 MW coal based cogeneration plant is discussed in details. It is widely accepted that micro turbine generation (MTG) systems are currently attracting lot of attention to meet customers need in the distributed power generation market In order to investigate the performance of microturbine generation systems their efficient modeling is required. This paper presents a dynamic model of a MTG system, suitable for grid connection/islanding operation. The presented model allows the bidirectional power flow between grid and MTG system. The components of the system are built from the dynamics of each part with their interconnections.
