The paper describes the main idea of the CSANN method and three possible structures of the CSANN network designed for three classes of production cases. CSANN itself finds and optimizes feasible solutions of the production schedules considering the sequence and resource constraints. CSANN network works together with three heuristics algorithms: the first one eliminates dead lock situations, the second one eliminates empty periods of time without any operation on any machine, the third one obtains a new set of the initial value needed for iterations. The structure of CSANN has been adopted for a class of production cases. The first structure has been designed for the solving serial flow production case without groups of technologically changeable machines and has been originated from literature. The second structure has been created by authors and it is able to solve serial production cases with groups of technologically changeable machines. The third structure also has been built by authors and is able to solve parallel production cases without groups of technologically changeable machines. The paper presents results of computer experiments proceeded for second and third class of production cases. The results of experiment achieved for the serial flow production case with groups of technologically changeable machines are compared with results achieved by other method - genetic algorithm AGHAR. Authors point in the paper that it seems to be possible to develop the CSANN further so the optimization of more complicated processes will be possible. As a next step the structure which is able to optimize the parallel process with groups of technologically changeable machines will be constructed.","PeriodicalId":103105,"journal":{"name":"2006 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127831548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Misalignment of motor or coupled load on motor shaft is one of the common causes, which creates most of the mechanical faults and leads to motor vibration. Although different algorithms are available for motor condition monitoring, but an online identification of motor misalignment and comprehensive fault reporting to the maintenance personnel are still missing. The motor current spectrum analysis for misaligned motor is not well documented. This paper portrays a novel online fault diagnostic algorithm related to misalignment of induction motors fed by variable speed drive. The innovative approach features spectral analysis and clustering based, fault detection method. A new set of feature coefficients of the mechanical faults is extracted from the stator current by its spectral decomposition. The technique is validated experimentally for a 7.5-hp induction motor.","PeriodicalId":103105,"journal":{"name":"2006 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology","volume":"118 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132622165","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Second-order optimization model is used to compensate the rebalance loop of gyroscope, and uses dominant pole to determine the cut-off frequency of second-order system inertial element. Additional zero cancels the pole of gyroscope in low frequency, and use additional pole to cancel the zero of gyroscope in high frequency. The optimization of parameters for rebalance loop and redesigned to circuits make the bandwidth increase to 80 Hz from 35 Hz, and the max measuring rang is enlarged from 70deg/s to 170deg/s, and the output noise is reduced to 0.7 mV(RMS) from 5 mV(RMS). It not only improves bandwidth and measuring range, but also reduces output noise. Simulating validates the dynamic performance of system, and experimentation tests the dynamic and static performance of system. The results of experimentation and simulation verify the rationality and validity of design.","PeriodicalId":103105,"journal":{"name":"2006 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology","volume":"6 10","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132816978","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Information security issues, however, have a surprisingly dualistic nature: almost everyone seems to be somehow familiar with them, but very few have a deeper understanding. Due to its multifaceted nature, information security should not be regarded as a separate concern; it is deeply intertwined with a multitude of business and societal functions. Of particular interest here is the integration, or embedding of information security into real business processes. In this study, we investigate the significance of information security standards for global business. The role of information security management is analyzed against the changing global market situation. An information security management approach applying international standards supports companies and other organizations in carrying out their business and co-operation globally.","PeriodicalId":103105,"journal":{"name":"2006 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133248459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One diode is an ordinary diode while other is a controlled diode. The performance of the controlled diode depends upon the magnitude of gate emitter, GE voltage and collector emitter (CE) voltage. A GE voltage Vg > Gate Emitter Threshold Voltage (VGET), modulates the conductivity of controlled diode together with hole injection from the p+ base near the collector terminal. Parameters of these diodes are estimated by applying curve fitting tool and power invariance method. The validity of the model has been checked by a simulation example. Our proposed image-mining framework analyzes the traffic image sequences by using background subtraction, image segmentation, and object tracking in the domain of traffic monitoring. The spatio-temporal relationships of the vehicle objects in each frame are discovered and accurately captured and modeled. Then trajectory of moving objects is determined and normality and abnormality of people/vehicle behaviors is recognized. In our system a fuzzy Decision Maker (FDM) is used to modeling and extracting knowledge from traffic behavioral patterns.","PeriodicalId":103105,"journal":{"name":"2006 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133486715","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This approach consists of a novel direction in the development of controllers for the rotor flux amplitude and the motor speed. The proposed approach shows that the nonlinear motor dynamics can be linearized and decoupled by means of feedback-linearization techniques. A comparative study is carried out between the performances of the nonlinear controller and field oriented control (FOC) using the simulation results, which show that the NC operates quite robustly under external disturbances and it can provide good dynamic performance such as no overshoot and fast transient time in the speed control.","PeriodicalId":103105,"journal":{"name":"2006 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131794090","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
