Automated accessibility evaluation tools are important to support evaluation tasks and to make evaluators more productive to perform repetitive analyses. However, automated tools cannot find alone all problems that users encounter in accessibility evaluations of mobile applications. Despite previous investigations on the coverage of accessibility problems encountered by automated tools on websites, there is little knowledge about the relationship between the problems encountered by those tools and problems faced by users with visual impairments in mobile applications. This paper presents a study comparing issues encountered by the automated tools MATE (Mobile Accessibility Testing) and Accessibility Scanner with a set of 415 instances of accessibility problems encountered in a previous user study involving six blind and five partially-sighted users on four mobile applications. The results showed that 36 types of problems were encountered only by users, tree types of problems were encountered both by users and by the tools, and 11 types of problems were encountered only by the automated tools. The results show the kinds of relevant problems that automated tools can identify, aiding in the early identification of such problems. Because there is no voting booth to protect the voter while she is voting, a coercer can easily influence them to choose his candidates. In order to mitigate these problems, coercion-resistant voting protocols employ the idea of voting credentials. Voters use their legitimate credentials to authorize the corresponding votes that will appear in the final tally. When voters are under coercion, they use fake credentials to deceive adversaries about their true vote intention. Credentials, however, are usually composed of large numeric values and have low usability to be used in real world elections. As a result, voters can incorrectly manage them and thus undermine the coercion-resistance. In this context, this work proposes a novel method to improve the credential usability called colored passwords. The new method is based on a known password technique and abstracts the numeric value of the credential. Although HCI Education has been a theme for research both nationally and internationally, much of this existing research is focused on syllabi guidelines and the topics being taught. We propose an in-depth research so we can better understand how HCI is being taught in Computing undergraduate courses in Brazil. For that, we chose to use the UDUM method, conducting semi-structured interviews with thirteen geographically distributed HCI professors that teach introductory courses in Computing departments and courses in Brazil. Among our results, an aspect that stood out was the high value given to practice by our interviewees, which is the focus of this paper. A subgroup of visual exploration tests, called cancellation tests, measures the ability to identify specific targets surrounded by distractors. We present an automated version of a cancellation test: the car's test. We carried out the test evaluation in two distinct groups: high school students and a university group that is included, students and professors. Several studies indicate the influence of education level on cancellation test results. We investigated whether education and the arrangement of symbols are relevant factors in choosing the visual exploration strategy used. We hypothesize that typical users with higher education levels will tend to the horizontal linear strategy since it is associated with the reading pattern. They represent, hypothetically, behavior synthesis, main characteristics, motivations and expectations of real users. Through Personas, empathy can be generated between interface designers and future software end-users. However, when these end users are autistic, this challenge is even bigger due to the lack of specific knowledge of some designers / developers on the autism subject. Another reason is the fact that low functioning autistic users (the audience selected for this research) have difficulty expressing themselves verbally. This work presents the PersonAut, which is a specific Personas Model for autistic individuals. Our goal is to support the designer / developer in the interface design activity so that they can create empathy in order to meet the needs of the autistic users. When performing decision-making activities, user values can get lost among the designers' own biases. This work studies the integration of user values with a design rationale technique, namely Questions, Options, and Criteria (QOC), and also how this integration reflects on a resulting design artifact (a MoLIC interaction diagram). We performed two separate studies with Computer Science students in Rio de Janeiro. We found that user values can be integrated into design rationale using different notations, such as highlighting the values (through circling or underlining) stated in the options or criteria. The decisions made with the QOC method using user values did result in relevant impacts on MoLIC diagrams. Participants who designed for a persona with strong values had richer results than those who used a \"generic\" persona. In a second study, we found that designers can recognize when user values are embedded into design artifacts. An emerging concept is creative learning, which attempts to understand, experiment, and define methodologies and learning environments designed to promote creativity. Enaction theorists, a new thread of cognitive science, understand that cognition and creativity always emerge through real-time interaction with the environment and other agents in that environment. Socioenactive systems are extensions to the enactive system concept, bringing attention to socio-cultural values in the dynamic coupling of the human (through the body senses) and technology. This work aims to explore and understand the creative process of preschool children during their interaction with a tangible programming environment (TaPrEC+mBot) that allows programming of a robot car by arranging wooden blocks. The analysis draws on the physical, digital, and social dimensions of socioenactive systems. The results show that the children felt especially involved through their bodies and engaged in the activity of creating their own programming scenario. To avoid this problem, there has been a growing demand for this type of system to be able to explain to users how their outputs are generated. This demand is called the \"right to an explanation\", or the explainability requirement. User perceptions are still little addressed in this context, for example: (1) do people value software explainability? (2) what are the typical user profiles in terms of their demand for explainability? This work seeks to elucidate users' perception and to identify profiles of users in terms of their perceptions of explainability requirement. The method consists of a questionnaire, data mining algorithms and statistical analysis to uncover and analyze the profiles of users. In a case study conducted with 61 people, we found 6 profiles, each one representing a different perception and type of requirement about software explainability.
