EBSCO, PubMed, Google Scholar, WOS, and CINAHL databases were used to determine the studies to be included in the meta-analysis. The keywords such as \"mindfulness\", \"fear of childbirth\", \"mindfulness-based childbirth\", \"mindfulness education\" and \"childbirth\" were searched in the international literature. Four experimental studies published between 2013 and 2022 that aimed to determine the effect of mindfulness-based childbirth education on the fear of childbirth, had a full text available and met the inclusion criteria, were included in the study.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>On the analysis of the data, mindfulness-based childbirth education was found to be effective in reducing the fear of childbirth (standard mean difference [SMD]=0.117, 95%CI: -1.049: -0.419, p<0.001, I2=36.98%). The results of this meta-analysis indicated that mindfulness-based education provided to pregnant women was found to be effective in reducing the fear of childbirth.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Mindfulness-based childbirth education is considered to be used as an effective non-pharmacological midwifery and nursing intervention in reducing the fear of childbirth in pregnant women. The relationship between gestational diabetes mellitus and maternal dyslipidemia is well-documented.</p><p><strong>Aims: </strong>This study aims to assess serum subfatin levels and the triglyceride/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio in women with one abnormal glucose tolerance test value and those with gestational diabetes mellitus.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>In this case-control study, 105 pregnant women were categorized into three groups: women with normal 3-h oral glucose tolerance test results (n=35), women with one abnormal 3-h oral glucose tolerance test result (n=35), and women diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus (n=35). Serum subfatin levels were measured using human enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Serum subfatin levels were significantly lower in the gestational diabetes mellitus group (0.94±0.15 ng/mL) compared to the normal oral glucose tolerance test group (1.48±0.55 ng/mL) and the group with one abnormal oral glucose tolerance test result (1.50±0.59 ng/mL). Contrast-induced nephropathy is one of the most common of these complications. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the Osaka prognostic score, which has previously been shown to have prognostic importance in gastrointestinal malignancies, and the development of contrast-induced nephropathy.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>The study retrospectively examined the data of 1,498 patients who underwent coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention due to acute coronary syndrome between 2018 and 2023. Demographic characteristics and laboratory findings were retrospectively collected from patients' charts and electronic medical records.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Osaka prognostic score (0.84±0.25 vs. 2.2±0.32, p<0.001) was higher in patients who developed contrast-induced nephropathy. Also, Osaka prognostic score [OR 2.161 95%CI (1.101-4.241), p<0.001] was found to be an independent risk factor along with age, diabetes mellitus, systolic pulmonary artery pressure, hemoglobin, hemoglobin, C-reactive protein, albumin, N-terminal brain natriuretic peptide, and systemic immune-inflammation index. The virtual reality+nature sounds group viewed a nature video with virtual reality glasses and listened to nature sounds during hysterosalpingography, whereas the nature sounds group only listened to nature sounds. The control group received only routine care.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>During hysterosalpingography, women in virtual reality+nature sounds group experienced less pain than those in control group (p=0.009). After hysterosalpingography, pain levels were lower in both virtual reality+nature sounds group and nature sounds group than in control group (p=0.000 and p=0.000, respectively), anxiety levels were lower in virtual reality+nature sounds group than in nature sounds group and control group (p=0.018 and p=0.000, respectively), and anxiety levels were lower in nature sounds group than in control group (p=0.013).</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Virtual reality with nature content plus listening to nature sounds and only listening to nature sounds are effective in reducing pain and anxiety related to hysterosalpingography procedures in women. A total of 140 pregnant women, 70 underwent elective cesarean sections between weeks 37 and 40 of gestation (Group 1, the control group) and 70 underwent cesarean sections due to fetal distress (Group 2, the study group), were included. The participants' sociodemographic and obstetric data and fetal umbilical blood NT-proBNP levels were recorded in a database.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Age, body mass index, gestational age, prenatal diagnostic tests, fetal anatomical scanning, and baby gender ratios were comparable between the groups (p>0.05), while statistically significant differences were observed in terms of gravidity (3.0 vs. 1.0, p≤0.001) and parity numbers (2 vs. 0, p≤0.001), baby height (50.36±0.88 vs. 49.80±0.86, p≤0.001) and weight (3422.43±409.16 vs. 3239.86±293.74, p=0.003), 1-min Apgar (9.0±0.1 vs. 8.5±1.3, p≤0.001) and 5-min Apgar (10.0±0.1 vs. 9.8±0.4, p=0.026) scores, umbilical artery pH (7.32±0.05 vs. 7.25±0.07, p≤0.001), umbilical artery base deficit (-2.48±1.23 vs. -4.36±1.09. p≤0.001), and NT-proBNP levels [8.77 (7.72-9.39) vs. 12.35 (9.69-12.92), p<0.001].</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>This study showed that NT-proBNP can be used as an important marker in the diagnosis of fetal distress. The present study was conducted to study tumor budding in invasive breast carcinoma and to correlate it with clinicopathological parameters and molecular subtypes.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>The study was conducted over a period of 1 year, and tumor budding was studied as a single or group of cells at the invasive front of breast carcinoma counted in a high-power field (40×). The grading was statistically correlated with tumor size, grade, lymph node status, lymphovascular invasion, pathological TNM staging, molecular subtype, and survival of patients.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>A total of 50 cases of invasive breast carcinoma were included, out of which 66% (n=33) showed high-grade tumor budding, which was statistically significantly higher in grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma (p<0.05). High tumor budding was associated with lymphovascular invasion, lymph node metastasis, and a high Ki-67 proliferative index. All cases showing low-grade budding were alive until 6 months of diagnosis, but there was no statistically significant association between stage and budding.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Tumor buds are significantly higher in grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma with lymphovascular invasion, lymph node metastasis, and a high Ki-67 proliferative index. Immunohistochemistry may prove helpful in distinguishing tumor buds from their mimickers. Data were collected with the Adolescent Insomnia Questionnaire and the Cleveland Adolescent Sleepiness Questionnaire. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used to analyze the construct validity of Adolescent Insomnia Questionnaire. The scale reliability was tested using test-retest, Cronbach's α test, Pearson correlation analysis, and inter-item correlation analysis.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The Cronbach's α coefficients were found to be above 0.80 for all sub-dimensions and the total scale. Correlations between Adolescent Insomnia Questionnaire and Cleveland Adolescent Sleepiness Questionnaire scores were positively highly significant. The test-retest correlation analysis of Adolescent Insomnia Questionnaire was 0.675. The results of confirmatory factor analysis were χ2/df=2.861, comparative fit index=0.966, incremental fit index=0.966, Tucker-Lewis index=0.956, normed fit index=0.949, root-mean-square error of approximation=0.084. The suitability of the data for exploratory factor analysis was evaluated with Bartlett's test of sphericity (p<0.05), and the sample adequacy was evaluated with the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test (0.77).</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>The Adolescent Insomnia Questionnaire Turkish version is a valid and reliable tool for measuring insomnia in adolescents aged 11-18 years. Adolescent Insomnia Questionnaire is a brief, practical, self-reported, age-appropriate, easily applicable, valid, and reliable tool in Turkish. Patients with unsuccessful clinical treatment for endometriosis and pain level ≥7 on Visual Analog Scale and who agreed to participate in the study were included. Demographic data were acquired by consulting medical records.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The average age of the participants was 36±6.3 years; the majority of patients were brown (68.6%), married (66.6%), overweight (55.8%), had had hormonal treatments with progestogens (50.9%), low fertility (50.9%), severe endometriosis (39.3%), endometriosis surgery+myomectomy (29.4%) and one (1%) patient withdrew from the study. Only patients who underwent ICSI in an induced cycle using their own or freshly DO, with male infertility factor and tubal factor, were included.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>A total of 120 patients were assessed, comprising 51 cases utilizing their own oocytes (control group) and 69 cases employing DO (study group). Patients receiving DO (n=69) exhibited a significantly higher mean age compared to those utilizing their own oocytes (n=51) (41.96±2.16 vs 38.54±1.42 years, p<0.001). There was no significant association between the source of oocytes and gestational age at delivery (p=0.296), birth weight (p=0.836), admission to neonatal intensive care unit (ICU) (p=0.120), or maternal admission to adult ICU (p=0.767). Additionally, the origin of oocytes did not demonstrate any significant association with the risk of pre-eclampsia (p=0.357), gestational diabetes mellitus (p=0.187), premature rupture of membranes (p=0.996), uterine atony (p=0.996), placenta previa (p=0.393), oligohydramnios (p=0.393), or gestational hypertension (p=0.393).\"</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>An increase in obstetric and perinatal complications was not observed in pregnancies with DO compared to pregnancies with autologous oocytes in women undergoing ICSI without prior comorbidities.
