However, low-achieving students often lag in English literacy, pronunciation, and reading comprehension and lack learning motivation, even giving up engaging in classroom activities and becoming \"guests\" in the classroom. An inclusive evaluation emphasizes diversity and inclusiveness in program evaluation and concerns marginalized and underserved groups. This study supports the spirit of inclusive evaluation that concerns disadvantaged and underserved groups' rights and interests. Accordingly, this study investigates the impact of the readers' theater program (RTP) on low-achieving students' spoken English fluency, reading comprehension ability, and English learning attitudes. The participants comprised 20 fifth graders: Seven high-achieving students, seven middle-achieving students, and six low-achieving students. The study was conducted over 12 weeks. The study collected data using three instruments: The English oral reading fluency test (pronunciation correctness, reading speed, and expression), the English reading comprehension ability test, and the English learning attitude scale. Descriptive statistics and paired samples t-tests were used to analyze the pre-test and post-test data. The findings of this study indicated that the RTP effectively improves the English oral reading fluency and reading comprehension ability of low-achieving students and enhances their positive learning attitudes through interaction with peers. The reasons contributing to RTP can significantly improve low-achieving students' English learning might be the relaxed learning atmosphere, group cooperation, and the impact of positive feedback.","PeriodicalId":90554,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science studies","volume":"79 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84091665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using Zhejiang Open University as a starting example, this study discusses the challenges with existing academic affairs administration in colleges and universities. It discovers that the primary concerns are the large workload of class schedule management, the lack of data support for teaching inspection& teaching quality assessment, the redundant construction of multiple systems & multiple entrances, teachers' workload accounting is unclear, student safety issues and student mental health. We handle the difficulties one at a time as we create the platform, by establishing the institutional assurance system, integrating information service entrances and so on. Simultaneously, we focus on recommendations as exploring additional features, evaluating the effectiveness in various educational contexts, and adapting the platform to different institutions. As a consequence, those actions can make contributions such as improved top-level design, data effectiveness and scientific decision-making.","PeriodicalId":90554,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science studies","volume":"6 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83269145","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current study explored how White counselor educators engage in honest discussions regarding race and racism. Using semi-structured interviews, three White counselor educators from CACREP Accredited programs were interviewed to explore their experiences of fearlessly leading courageous conversations on race and racism. A thematic analysis yielded three consistent themes, including a pattern centered around creating a safe space for discussions, being okay with being imperfect, and encounters that transform. The last theme also had two sub-themes: constructing intentional relationships with truth-tellers and world-changing experiences. These findings offer insight for White counselor educators to traverse challenges associated with having provocative conversations about race and racism, both inside and outside of the classroom.","PeriodicalId":90554,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science studies","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47743465","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to provide a consistent interpretation for Aristotelian modal syllogistic, this paper firstly proves the validity of the syllogism ◇A£I◇I-1, and then takes it as the basic axiom to derive the other 37 valid modal syllogisms on the basis of some reasoning rules in classical propositional logic, the transformation between any one of Aristotelian quantifiers and its three negative quantifiers, the symmetry of the Aristotelian quantifier some and no, and some relevant definitions and facts. In other words, there are reducibility between the modal syllogism ◇A£I◇I-1 and the other 37 valid modal syllogisms. The Standard Global Vector-Autoregressive (GVAR) Model of analysis was used to draw structural inference for the study using data on: consumer prices, international commodity prices (oil, agricultural raw material and metal ore), exchange rate, interest rate (short and long run), real output, money supply, and export diversification index. The result of the Impulse Response Function (IRF) revealed that shocks resulting from monetary policy transmission from the ECOWAS member Countries to Nigeria has diverse effects on Nigeria and is largely determined by the extent of monetary policy accommodative stance. The shock that may occur is likely to be country-specific because ECOWAS is an economic union that hardly has the foundation to share common economic or monetary risk. Additionally, the extent of trade flow between Nigeria and the rest of ECOWAS, determines the tendency that such shocks affect Nigeria. Finally, whether ECOWAS is a shock source, or a channel of transmission determines how much of an impact shocks from that region will have.","PeriodicalId":90554,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science studies","volume":"5 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79192744","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, we attempted to investigate the social and personal factors that affect students in making their education and career related decisions, with a focus on students attending the country's high schools.In the first part, which is the theoretical part, the concepts of professional development, maturity, and career choice are presented. After that, the factors are presented that determine both the education and career related decisions of students. In specific, various personal factors are analyzed; for example, biological factors, such as gender, physical characteristics, aptitudes, etc. In addition, acquired factors, such as skills, values, interests, and so on, are presented.The second part of the article follows, which is the research part. In order to investigate the factors that affect adolescents in their education and career related decisions, qualitative research was conducted. More specifically, 35 interviews were taken from students attending the 3rd Grade of High School, which were analyzed through qualitative content analysis. Compared to earlier research, where there was direct and strong involvement of parents in the decisions made by young people, nowadays, there is evidence of young people's effort to differentiate from their parents' beliefs, and become independent from the family environment. As a final word, in the end of the article, the conclusions of our research will be listed.","PeriodicalId":90554,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science studies","volume":"6 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80152284","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These demands induce stress on employees with the consequences of individual health challenges, family breakdown, pressure on social amenities, low productivity and profitability of firms. This study was undertaken to establish the implications of job-related stress on employees’ job performance. The sample comprises all workers of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) in Tamale, the Northern Region of Ghana. All employees (census) were used for the study and data was collected using both primary and secondary sources. The findings revealed that stress is a normal occurrence at the workplace that affects all people, regardless of their gender or socioeconomic class, hence, the need for management to formulate a good policy directed at reducing stress among workers, and encouraging high performance among workers. This will help reduce job-related stress. Managers must be dedicated to making adjustments that will assist workers to cope with some of the known stressors. It is recommended that managers should match individual capabilities with the tasks and duties allocated to avoid both physical, emotional and psychological pressure on the employee. Management should establish a congenial and collegial atmosphere for working and operate an open-door communication policy as a management style because this will ease pressure and tension since leadership style was cited as a stressor.","PeriodicalId":90554,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science studies","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72671737","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To clarify this issue, this article mainly adopts a literature research method to systematically review the research on China's establishment of parole and commutation since its inception, and uses case studies to provide examples to illustrate the existing situations.The author argues that substantive hearings for these cases can remove the issue of \"paper-pushing\" and strengthen procedural justice, transparency, and judicial justice. The manuscript suggests that the current \"tripartite\" linear model for parole hearings should be transitioned to a deliberative mode with statements from both prosecution and defense to achieve a substantive hearing. The author proposes that the \"tripartite trial structure\" reform should be the starting point for reconsidering the legal identity and rights of the participating subjects and their responsibilities.","PeriodicalId":90554,"journal":{"name":"International journal of social science studies","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48907481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
