To this end, this review followed PRISMA guidelines and analyzed 119 dissertations and journal articles published in South Korea \u0000from 2000 to 2020. First, as a result of summarizing quantitative trends in the publications, the number of published articles concerning \u0000technology acceptance of older adults was very small before 2012, but gradually increased since 2012. Specific research topics were classified \u0000into ① the use of information technology and digital devices, ② digital literacy and information gaps, ③ physical and psychological health, ④ support services and facilities for older adults, and ⑤ others. Second, as a result of conducting content analysis, most of the studies \u0000dealt with mobile phones or smartphones when it comes to the type of technology. In the case of the studies based on technology acceptance \u0000models, most of them adopted Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Higher level of education and self-efficacy were one of the motivators \u0000to promote technology acceptance among older adults, while old age and higher level of technology anxiety were identified as barriers. \u0000Based on these results, the present study synthesized the discussions and proposed suggestions for future research. A total \u0000of eight programs (60 minutes per session) were conducted from February 2022 for men and women aged 60 or older in the control group \u0000(n=35) and experimental groups (Silbot users, n=14; Bomi users, n=21). The paired t-test and the analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), and \u0000hierarchical regression analysis were used to compare the outcome variables of the experimental group (Silbot users, Bomi users) and the \u0000control group. As a result, it was confirmed that the group participating in the 'Silbot' program had a positive effect on both social support \u0000and subjective isolation compared to the control group, and the group using 'Bomi' confirmed a partial positive effect only on social support. \u0000The results of this study have the significance of overcoming the limitations of previous studies that looked at the effectiveness of the \u0000cognitive function of the elderly with cognitive decline, and extending the effectiveness of robot utilization programs to social health variables \u0000for the older adults using welfare centers for the older adults. This study verifies the effectiveness of group programs using robots for \u0000social health promotion and expands the function of robots in senior welfare centers to increase the need for developing various contents. \u0000In addition, it was suggested that organizations such as senior welfare centers should seek and discover ways to utilize elderly-friendly \u0000technologies such as robots.

Eight older adults who had been creating digital content for at least six months shared \u0000their experiences. The interview data were analyzed based on the Grounded Theory. Findings indicated that the participants showed common \u0000psychological characteristics, life experience characteristics, and social and environmental factors in later life that became the foundation \u0000for digital content creation. In the introductory stage of digital content creation, older adults passively utilized available resources. As they progressed to the more sophisticated stage of creating digital content, they actively interacted with existing resources and developed digital \u0000skills. They minimized the negative influences of obstacles in the digital aging process by utilizing the resources they already had. Digital \u0000content creation made them experience active aging and it allowed them to continue digital content creation. This experience led to the \u0000virtuous cycle structure of digital content production. The subjects of this study were pre-evaluation and post-evaluation, a total of 8 sessions (twice a week, 70-90 minutes) \u0000targeting 7 elderly people living in the community. Intervention strategies provided opportunities and experiences for various lifestyle \u0000components(physical activity, eating habits, social relationships, and social participation), and became plans for improvement, value formation, \u0000and habit formation (knowldge, evaluation, experience, and planning). Pre- and post-intervention assessments were conducted to examine \u0000behavioral changes in lifestyle, value system, self-efficacy, and satisfaction at the end of the intervention. For data analysis, frequency analysis, \u0000descriptive statistics, and Wilcoxon signed-rank test were performed using SPSS 26.0. Lifestyle change, values, and self-efficacy increased \u0000after the intervention, but they were nor statistically significant. In contrast to such trends, their care capacity has been socially concerned about violation against human rights such as elder abuse including physical restraints. The distinction between physical restraints and physical abuse is ambiguous at care settings which has brought in hot debate on the violation of human rights. Therefore, we investigated the extent to which caregivers’awareness of physical restraints and reasons of elder abuse and their witness of physical restraints are associated with their physical restraints on older adults. We used the secondary data collected from 3,859 licensed caregivers working at about 3,000 day care centers across the nation in 2017. First, we found that 10.7% of caregivers performed restrictive interventions. Second, the awareness of physical restraints, witness of others’physical restraints, and their own physical restraints are related to each other. Lastly, logistic regressions confirmed that caregivers’poor awareness of physical restraints, more witness of physical restraints by other caregivers, and higher perception of victim’s personality problems mainly causing elder abuse were more likely to increase their use of physical restraints. These findings suggest that care environment insensitive to human rights might lead to elder abuse by over-utilizing physical restraints. Also, it is fundamental to develop professional care culture of licensed caregivers towards person-centered care.

Based on the results, this study aimed to find ways to alleviate elderly depression. This study drew upon the data from the ‘Age Integration and Generation Integration Survey’conducted in 2018, analyzing 600 elderly people above the age of 65. Structural equation modeling and multi-group analysis were conducted to examine the research model using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 programs. The results of this study are as follows. First, perceived elderly stigma has a direct effect on depression. Second, social isolation has a mediating effect on the association between perceived elderly stigma and depression. Third, there was no statistically significant difference between male and female groups. However, there were differences in the mediating effect between two groups. Based on the results of the study, we suggest the need for intervention to reduce elderly stigma and social isolation which both affect depression. We also discussed the limitation of the research and the suggestions for the future research.

To this end, 286 people aged above 65 old were surveyed online, and multiple regression analysis was conducted using Hayes (2018)'s PROCESS macro. The verification of the indirect effect was confirmed by performing the bootstrap method. As a result of the analysis, it was found that depression was completely mediated in the relationship between Internet addiction and life satisfaction in the elderly. In summary, first, Internet addiction was found to have a positive correlation with depression. Second, Internet addiction was found to have a negatively correlated with life satisfaction. Third, when Internet addiction and depression, which are independent and mediating variables, were put together, the influence of Internet addiction on life satisfaction did not appear. Therefore, it can be seen that Internet addiction in seniors affects depression as a complete medium rather than directly affecting life satisfaction. According to the results of this study, it was suggested that to improve the life satisfaction of the elderly, the Internet use should be maintained to a healthy degree, and to prevent and treat depression, welfare services for the elderly and daily resources should be expanded. In addition, different appropriate alternatives are needed by identifying the characteristics of each age group within seniors. It was also proposed to systematize group counseling treatment for the elderly addicted to the Internet and provide family counseling treatment programs. In addition, suggestions and limitations such as customized case management services for each preventive case for the elderly at potential risk of Internet addiction and depression were presented.
