Some stroke caregivers were overwhelmed to adjust and accept new responsibilities. They need to reorganise their functions and establish new daily life routines in response to the chronic illness that happens with stroke survivors. \u0000Objective: This study aimed to determine and explore coping strategies employed by stroke caregivers. \u0000Methods: This mixed-method study involved 32 stroke caregivers from a community-based stroke rehabilitation centre in Kuching, Sarawak. Results: From quantitative analysis, most stroke caregivers employed problem-focused coping strategies (mean=56.66, SD=10.79), followed by emotion-focused coping strategies (mean=55.63, SD=10.29) in confronting the challenges of caring for stroke survivors. Data from qualitative findings revealed eight themes of coping strategies: adjustment to daily life, selfmotivation, sharing with other people, acceptance, avoiding thinking about the problem, hoping stroke survivors will get better, emotion suppression and self-blame. \u0000Conclusion: This study’s outcomes provide crucial information about the burdens held by stroke caregivers when taking care of stroke survivors. Stroke caregivers need to adapt better and suitable coping strategies. This will prevent them from becoming overwhelmed by the accumulated stress from caring burdens. The long-term effect of coping strategies should positively assist stroke caregivers in managing the burdens effectively and fostering satisfaction in their life. \u0000Bangladesh Journal of Medical Science Vol. 23 No. 01 January’24 Page : 130-140

The most frequently reported failures are on the immediate or delayed factors after implant placement. Even when the implant has successfully osseointegrated, there is a chance that the prosthesis can fail if the treatment planning and occlusal aspects are not well studied. Management of failed cases is rarely reported. In this case report, the authors present a failed implant prosthesis and how it was managed well with a more permanent solution. \u0000Case presentation: A 55-year-old, male retired bank manager, reported with the chief complaint of frequent fracture of the maxillary acrylic hybrid implant prosthesis that was delivered 6 months ago. He wanted a replacement for the fractured upper maxillary acrylic hybrid prosthesis. On clinical evaluation, the upper maxillary implant prosthesis was opposing the natural tooth, an anterior bridge, and two posterior implants in the lower right and left of the first and second molar region. The patient was happy with the lower restorations. \u0000Conclusion: The design of the final restoration based on biological, mechanical, technological, and patient factors should be ideally planned during the initial treatment planning stage itself. Its consequences include dropping out of school and adverse effects on mental and physical health. Despite this, the importance of academic engagement, a positive attitude towards learning, is often overlooked in the Moroccan context.\u0000Methods: This is a cross-sectional study conducted over a period of one month in 2023, and relies on semi-structured interviews to collect data. The measurement instruments used in this study include a self-questionnaire and two well-established scales: the Copenhagenan Burnout Inventory (CBI) and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-9).\u0000Results: The study reveals complex links between socio-economic factors, academic failure and burnout, with p values < 0.05. No significant relashionship was revealed between engagement and burnout (p>0.05). Female students showed a higher level of burnout than male students (p < 0.05). Age appears to be a determining factor, with younger students showing higher levels of burnout. Housing had an influence on burnout (p < 0.05) and differences between faculties showed a significant effect on burnout (p < 0.05). The internal consistency of the burnout and engagement scales are satisfactory.\u0000Conclusion: This study highlights the need for a holistic approach to addressing burnout in students. Targeted interventions are essential to support students in diverse academic contexts, taking into account a variety of socio-economic factors.\u0000Bangladesh Journal of Medical Science Vol. 23 No. 01 January’24 Page : 228-236

They were divided into two groups: I group (experimental) – 28 women with genital endometriosis, II group (control) - 20 healthy non-pregnant women. For the determination of serum biomarkers (IL-6, IL-8, IL-18, TNF-α, MIF) the multiplex immunofluorescence method with XMap technology was used. \u0000Results: There were no statistical differences in IL-18 and MIF levels between the studied groups (p = 0.630 and p = 0.421). However, serum levels of IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α were significantly different (respectively, p = 0.037, p < 0.001, p < 0.001). In women with endometriosis the levels of IL-8 and TNF-α were increased 5 times, and level of IL-6 was increased 3 times. The diagnostic significance of IL-6, IL-8 and TNF-α levels for predicting genital endometriosis was 75.0% and 60.0%; 100.0% and 90.0%; 92.9% and 85.0%, respectively. \u0000Conclusions: The levels of IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α were significantly higher in patients with genital endometriosis. The objective of this study was to assess the outcome of surgery performed within and after a year of injury. Surgical outcomes were measured at one year follow up after surgery were Lysholm score and limb symmetry index (LSI).\u0000Results: Mean time from injury to surgery for early and delayed groups were eight months and 18 months.
