The species are studied to determine time deviations caused by toxicological influences owing to their features like speed on heading the corpse, value on PMI estimation, briefness at developmental processes and easiness about rearing at laboratory conditions. Body length, weight, death ratio of larvae and pupa were compared within control groups. The results demonstrated that larvae feeding on drug containing tissues in slight dosages developed more rapidly and adult emergence was greater, but also higher concentrations created completely adverse results. The time required for pupation was significantly greater for colonies fed on tissues from lorazepam-dosed diets than for the control group. Results emphasize the importance of determining the contamination rates of lorazepam are essential to prevent deviation on PMI estimations","PeriodicalId":7738,"journal":{"name":"ANADOLU UNIVERSITY JOURNAL OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY –C Life Sciences and Biotechnology","volume":"3 1","pages":"45-52"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67555537","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, Effects of exogenous polyamines (spermine and putrescine) on germination of seed and seedling growth such as radicula length, hypocotile length, fresh weight, dry weight of pepper under salt stress were investigated. According to results, increased salt concentration resulted in a significant reduction in germination (P<0.05). NaCl prevented hypocotile growth and this inhibition was reversed by applying spermine. During application of 2 mM spermine + 200 mM NaCl (P<0.05), the best germination was recorded. On the contrary, germination of seed was inhibited by single application of Put but hypocotile and radicula length of seedling were increased seriously by application of 0.01 mM putrescine + 200mM NaCl and 1mM putrescine + 50 mM NaCl (P<0.05) in pepper plant.","PeriodicalId":7738,"journal":{"name":"ANADOLU UNIVERSITY JOURNAL OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY –C Life Sciences and Biotechnology","volume":"59 1","pages":"63-71"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67556243","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

After crush injury muscle tissue begins to regenerate. In this process, it is accepted that satellite cells play an important role which are very sensitive to muscle injury. The aim of this microscopic study was to examine role of satellite cells in muscle regeneration in crush injury. This research was done the department of Histology&Embryology in Eskisehir Osmangazi University in 2008. Ethic approval of this study has been received. During the study, the whole essential and ethics conditions have been done. In the study 36 Spraque-Dawley rats were used. The rats were separated into 5 groups as test and control groups. Crush type of injury has been applied on muscles of right hind extremities of testing group rats by applying 3.5 kg of weight for 6 hours. In according to testing periods rats were anaesthetized intraperitoneally with ketamine 30mg/kg + xylazine 10mg/kg and sacrificied 3, 7, 14 and 21-day intervals. After crush injury, increased satellite cells were particularly observed on day 7. Also significant increased of satellite cells and regenerated myofibrils were detected on day 14. However, satellite cells were seen on day-21 were similar to control group. In crush injuries, number of satellite cells were markedly increased and actively involved into regeneration process of the skeleton muscle.","PeriodicalId":7738,"journal":{"name":"ANADOLU UNIVERSITY JOURNAL OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY –C Life Sciences and Biotechnology","volume":"3 1","pages":"1-8"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67556226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

G. olympica showed similar germination percentages in dark, light and photoperiod, and germinated faster in light (3.9 days). S. rhyncocarpa germinated 100 % at all the three conditions but faster in dark with 2.0 days. M. montana seeds were found to require light for germination.
