Primary data were collected from a sample of 221 SMEs that had been ranked among the Top 100 medium enterprises in Kenya between 2008 and 2019 through Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler (KPMG) and Nation Media Group yearly surveys. Data accepted from 134 top executives of the SMEs was analysed through regression analysis. The results revealed that entrepreneurial inclination indirectly influenced organisational performance through its positive effect on BMI. There was no evidence that entrepreneurial inclination independent of BMI influenced organisational performance. Thus, it was concluded that entrepreneurial inclination positively contributed to organisational performance through its favourable effect on BMI. The study adds to the literature on entrepreneurial inclination and organisational performance by linking them to BMI. The study advises industry practitioners and policymakers to encourage entrepreneurial conduct and BMI practices to improve organisational performance. Further studies are required to address the identified gaps.","PeriodicalId":72277,"journal":{"name":"Archives of business research","volume":"20 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139215942","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The primary goal of the study was to evaluate how knowledge management affects sustainable performance, with an emphasis on the mediating function of green innovation. Data were acquired from 275 managers and senior employees working in the oil, gas, electricity, water desalination, and minerals industries in Saudi Arabia. The primary method of data collection was a self-administered and online survey. Using the Advanced Structural Equation Modeling (AMOS) tool, the data were assessed, and a thorough examination of the connections between knowledge management, green innovation, and sustainable performance was created. According to the results, there is a direct link between knowledge management and sustained performance. Furthermore, it was discovered that green innovation acted as a mediating component in this relationship, shedding light on the advantages that knowledge management brought to green innovation and how those advantages benefitted sustainable performance. This study adds to the body of current literature by empirically proving the linkages between knowledge management, green innovation, and sustainable performance. It emphasizes how important knowledge management is in promoting environmentally friendly behaviors and provides practical advice for companies trying to match their strategy with sustainability goals.","PeriodicalId":72277,"journal":{"name":"Archives of business research","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135725107","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Of which, there were 240,000 international visitors, an increase of 336% compared to the same period last year, reaching 53.3% of the year's plan; 2,120,000 domestic visitors, an increase of 19.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching 69.5% of the year's plan. Total revenue from tourists reached 2,300 billion VND, an increase of 16.2% compared to the same period last year, reaching 59% of the year plan. The above impressive recovery results after the COVID-19 pandemic are thanks to the province's tourism industry having synchronously deployed many groups of tasks and solutions to develop destinations, building tours, and attractive tourism product groups and organize a variety of activities to attract the attention of domestic and foreign tourists, creating a premise for tourism to recover and maintain operations in the last months of the year and the following years. Methodologically, we used a descriptive qualitative approach. The data was produced together with six Afro-entrepreneurs living in Espírito Santo, based on participant observations and interviews. For data analysis, we used interpretative narrative analysis. The main research results show that Afro-entrepreneurs can be configured as social entrepreneurs, disseminate knowledge linked to their ancestry, encourage black pride and are preferred by their clients, who choose them for identification. Afro-entrepreneurship has become a space for valuing black workers, moving from a hard area to a black area in the theory of social spaces. From this study, it was possible to perceive the relevance of actions that promote the insertion and retention of black men and women in schools, universities and the job market.","PeriodicalId":72277,"journal":{"name":"Archives of business research","volume":"3 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135315640","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This leaves them unable to budget effectively and allocate resources during the year, putting them in a vulnerable situation in the face of changing markets and the supply and demand of national and international coffee. With the objective of presenting an overview of coffee costs, profit and unit costs, in the Municipality of Amatepec, a comparative field study was carried out with the producing states of Veracruz, Puebla, and Chiapas, during 2023. To obtain the costs A survey was applied to representative producers of the region chosen in a completely random sampling, then the FIRA methodology was used to determine total production costs in coffee cultivation. The results indicate that for the production season the activity of cultural work 25%, harvest with 24%, then fertilization with 21% and pest control contributes with 14%. As a result of prices and costs, the profits obtained in coffee cultivation are safer in parchment and roasting both for the Municipality of Amatepec, and in the states of Veracruz, Puebla and Chiapas with which the comparisons were made.","PeriodicalId":72277,"journal":{"name":"Archives of business research","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136184272","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the valuation of IC resources is a challenging task. IC valuation is essential to employ the knowledge resource efficiently. Hence, the study aims to evaluate the IC resources of non-financial companies in Bangladesh and compare the IC performance between manufacturing and service firms. The study also explores the year-wise trend study and industry-based IC performance study. Data have been collected from secondary sources from 69 DSE-listed non-financial companies in Bangladesh from 2017 to 2021, comprising 345 company-year observations. The Modified Value Added Intellectual Coefficient (MVAIC) methodology has been adopted to reflect IC value. Independent Sample t-tests and graph and chart analyses have been performed to fulfill the study objectives. Results have shown that human capital is the primary driver of IC resources, and it dominates Intellectual Capital Efficiency (ICE) and then the overall IC efficiency (MVAIC) score. Human and structural resources utilized by Bangladeshi companies are better than those of relational and tangible capital. Service companies have better handled human and structural resources, but manufacturing companies have better used relational and employed capital. Research has also observed a declining trend of IC resources of the sampled companies. Telecommunication, Fuel and power, and Textile industries have better used IC resources. However, the tannery industry still needs to do so. The research contributes to resources-based theory by confirming the value of invisible resources, which supports business executives, policy-makers, managers, and potential and existing investors to make the right decisions. Further research may be conducted using an extended sample size, comparing financial and non-financial sectors or comparing among industries or valuation techniques like EVA, KCE, and CIV.","PeriodicalId":72277,"journal":{"name":"Archives of business research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136182109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
