India has close ties with both the countries. During the retrieval way of economy from the pandemic, purported crunch in Ukraine and Russia which dispatch disparate commodities has posed novel challenges to India's economic resilience. Ukraine and Russia produce elephantine share of global exports of wheat. Thus, this study employed Fermi Problem-based Learning to improve communication skills in teaching Science among the Cycle Two students in United Arab Emirates. It also examined the effectiveness of this strategy between grade 7 and grade 8 students. This study used quasi-experiment design. The instrument for research was pre and post-test using Communication Skills which was prepared by the researcher. The participants purposively selected according to a certain criterion, then divided for the experimental group, consisting of 15 grade seven and eight students, from Ramah Primary and Secondary School, they were taught Science units using the Fermi Problem-Solving method for 6-weeks, Whereas the control group consisted of 15 grade seven and eight students who were taught the same science units using traditional methods. The data were analysed using the Two Way ANCOVA to determine the effectiveness of the strategy on improving their communication skills and to determine the variation in the effectiveness of the strategy between grade 7 and grade 8 students. The findings revealed the effectiveness of the Fermi problem based learning strategy in developing the communication skills in teaching Science among the United Arab Emirates Cycle Two students. The findings also demonstrated that there were no significant differences in the effectiveness of the strategy amongst grade 7 and grade 8 students. Thus, Fermi Problem-Based learning is considered an effective strategy in teaching Science and in improving students’ communication skills and suitable for all Cycle Two students. In addition, this strategy can help teachers to integrate Fermi Problem-Solving into their teaching practice in order to achieve the objective of teaching science in the 21st century.","PeriodicalId":72277,"journal":{"name":"Archives of business research","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44496824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this, it analyzed the transition of the Strategic Planning (SP) cycle from 2011-2014 to 2015-2019, delimiting this analysis in senior management. As a theoretical foundation, the concepts of strategy formation, emerging strategies and elements of complexity are addressed, especially the role of learning in strategic management. This is a qualitative study, which adopted the single case study method. In data collection, document analysis and semi-structured interviews were carried out. In the data analysis, through the technique of qualitative data analysis, categories of results were established. Through the results, it was evidenced that strategies not carried out in a SP, were formed as emerging strategies in another, including preponderant characteristics of the elements of complexity; it was found that the 2015-2019 strategic planning was formulated with less prescriptive objectives than the previous one, which allowed for greater flexibility in implementation. Finally, in the relationship: learning, dynamism of environmental changes and strategy formation, the cyclical nature of this process was verified.","PeriodicalId":72277,"journal":{"name":"Archives of business research","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47144358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From what has been said, we would say that initial parental education, in times of an increasingly urban life (where parents delegate the education of children to school) does not seem to facilitate this balance of integrated development. It is important to discuss the connection between the neurosciences and education, concluding that this joint approach would be essential to guide quality levels and the researchers admit that the applicability of neuroscience research, for the improvement of pedagogy, has been, paradoxically, very limited. In general, we can define organizational culture as a set of beliefs, values and norms that influence the climate of a company, aligning employee behaviour and the strategic way in which the company positions itself in the market. Organizational culture is the essence of an organization. The supportive culture or clan culture presents a pleasant work environment, with a united organization that endures through loyalty and traditions, where interpersonal relationships are created, success is defended by teamwork, participation and consensus between employees and the organization. Leaders are considered mentors and there is a high level of commitment. In accordance with the updated works of Miranda, which seeks to reconcile the previous author and the OCAI model of R. Quinn and collaborators, a questionnaire was constructed, with twenty-eight questions, involving as many others adjectives that characterize a cognitive profile. In a first approximation, and taking only the descriptive statistics data into account, and taking only the sample data, there is a striking curiosity: the respondent students consider that the school made a visible and verifiable effort to correct the dominant profile. limbic pointing to a right cortical profile: intuition, entrepreneurship, vision.","PeriodicalId":72277,"journal":{"name":"Archives of business research","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42379004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this fiercely competitive environment, it is imperative for leaders to recognize and respond to the emotions of their employees. Consequently, they need to place great emphasis on employee attitudes, satisfaction, loyalty, and engagement. This study aims to examine the correlation between the multipliers which is a new style of modern leadership, employee job attitudes, and employee engagement. The research encompassed a survey administered to employees of a well-established trade and services company with over two decades of operational experience. Quantitative data were processed using software tools such as SPSS 23.0 and Smart PLS 4.0, which are extensively employed in social science research. A total of 85 employees participated in the study, and for verification and testing the proposed hypothesis in the study, we conducted various statistical analyses inclusive of factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation models (SEMs). According to the results of the analysis, it was shown that a significant and positive influence of multiplier on both employee job attitude and employee engagement. Furthermore, employee job positive attitude leads to an increase in employee engagement. Additionally, the study's results indicate a noteworthy finding: it was observed that employee job attitude plays a mediating role in the relationship between the multiplier and employee engagement.","PeriodicalId":72277,"journal":{"name":"Archives of business research","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44298257","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The enrollment of international students in US Universities has increased from 564,766 in the year 2004-2005 to 974,926 in the year 2014-2015, a 72.3 % increase in ten years. Due to COVID, there were 1.25 million international students studying in the US last year. This is 17.86 percent lower than the 2019-2020 academic year (data from the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP). Business schools in the United State stand on the frontier of internationalization. Some universities even have started to build satellite campuses and programs in other countries. Examples include Duke University built its campus in Kunshan China, and NYU built its campus in Shanghai, China. Based on the information provided by the Institute of International Education (iie.org), business and management programs have been continually ranked as number one in international student enrollment. Of the 974,926 international students enrolled in high education institutions in the United States in 2014-2015, 20.2% of them enrolled in Business and Management programs, with a total number of 197,258 students. In the years of 2020, the number of international students in USA business and management programs is 174,470, a slight drop from previous years due to COVID-19.In the United States, there are more than two thousand business schools, of which five hundred and fifteen (515) are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). Each of these schools has a different ownership entity, either a private university or a public-owned university. In addition, each of them has different brand name recognition by the students, parents, and peers as well. Some schools’ brand names are highly recognized in the market, while others may not be well known at all. What are the appropriate strategies when these schools internationalize their program? In this paper, we propose a two-factor model, using ownership entity and brand name recognition as to conduct a taxonomy of US business schools. We classify business schools into four groups and further propose different positioning strategies for the four groups.Our research contributes to the literature on the internationalization of business programs in several ways. First, our two factors classification system for the business schools results in four groups of business school types, each of which has its unique supporting resources, academic reputations, and entity ownership structure. We further provide different positioning strategies for each type of school and college. The positioning strategies and the associated curriculum design as well as the supporting resources will then serve as a competition tool to attract future international students. Some argue that dividend policy has an effect on market performance based on signaling theory, while others dispute this claim. Consequently, this study examined the impact of dividend policy on the market performance of listed insurance firms in Nigeria with and without control over return on assets. This study used an ex-post facto research design approach and employed pooled ordinary least squares to analyze data gathered for 10 selected firms from 2008 to 2020. The study's preliminary analysis revealed that all the employed are positively related. The pooled regression result showed that dividend payout (DVP) had a negative but insignificant impact on market price per share (MSP), while dividend yield (DVY) and dividend per share (DPS) had a positive and significant impact on MSP. Furthermore, the results showed that return on assets had a negative but insignificant impact on the market price per share (MSP), and the adjusted R-squared results revealed that dividend policy explains about 82% of the changes in market performance of the selected insurance firms. The study concluded that dividend policy has a significant impact on market performance, with or without taking return on assets into account. Based on the results, the study recommended that management and shareholders focus on the operational needs of the company and understand the connection between profit maximization and dividend policies.","PeriodicalId":72277,"journal":{"name":"Archives of business research","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45416507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
