Tujuan penelitian ini adalah uji aktivitas antibakteri daun ganitri. Metode yang digunakan adalah difusi paper disk dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 10; 20; 30; 40; 50 dan 100%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak metanol dengan konsentrasi 50% dan 70% memiliki daya hambat kuat dengan zona hambat 16.70 dan 17,68 mm. Sedangkan ekstrak akuades pada konsentrasi 30% dan 100% memiliki zona hambat sedang dengan diameter 11,04 dan 11,39 mm. The purpose of this research was to observe the ability of ethanol extract of green tea as a natural iron chelating agent in animal iron overload model. Ethanol extract of green tea leave (GTLE) was prepared by maceration using 70% ethanol. Sprague-Dawley male rats were divided into three groups (5 rats each), a normal control group (group I) received daily p.o. of deionized water, the iron overload group received 100 g/Kg BW (group II) of GTLE that given two hours before ferroussulfate0.5 g/Kg BW administrations and the last group (group III) received only 0.5 g/Kg BW of ferrous sulfate. GTLE and ferrous sulfate were given orally every day for 30 days. At the end of the experimental period, rat blood serum samples were collected. Iron content and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels were measured using a spectrophotometer followed by observing the histologic preparation of rat liver organ. Penghantaran vaksin konvensional menggunakan jarum hipodermik memiliki keterbatasan yaitu sulitnya proses pembuatan, risiko jarum yang digunakan lebih dari satu kali, serta menimbulkan nyeri. Alternatif penghantaran sediaan vaksin yaitu melalui transdermal. Penghantaran vaksin melalui transdermal memiliki respon proteksi imun yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan penghantaran melalui injeksi secara subkutan ataupun intramuskular. Dissolving Microneedle (DMN) merupakan sistem penghantaran transdermal yang banyak memiliki keunggulan. DMN telah berhasil menghantarkan sejumlah makromolekul seperti vaksin, insulin, eritropoietin, interferon-α, hormon pertumbuhan, dan heparin. Penggunaan vaksin mandiri dapat menjadi lebih hemat karena mengurangi limbah benda tajam, dan tidak memerlukan penyimpanan suhu rendah. Kualitas hidup pada pasien pasca strok dapat membantu mengevaluasi terapi yang telah diterapkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik pasien apa saja yang berhubungan terhadap kepatuhan minum obat dan kualitas hidup pasien strok iskemik di RSUD Banyumas. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 44 orang dan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Kepatuhan minum obat diukur menggunakan kuesioner MARS-5 sedangkan kuesioner WHOQOL-Bref digunakan untuk mengukur kualitas hidup. Hasil yang didapat pada penelitian ini adalah tidak ada hubungan antara karakteristik pasien yaitu jenis kelamin, usia, pendidikan, pekerjaan dan status tinggal terhadap kepatuhan minum obat antiplatelet. This study aims to determine the chemopreventive agent of tangeretin and kaempferol in silico. In silico test was performed molecular docking by using Vina Autodock Software by deprecating tangeretin and kaempferol compounds against target protein Bcl-xL. Tangeretin and kaempferol have an affinity to the protein with score -5,8 kkal/mol and -6,4 kkal/mol, respectively. Tangeretin has a high potency in inhibiting activity against Bcl-xL protein, while kaempferol has less potency in inhibition of Bcl-xL protein. One species of Smilax that has not been studied and only grew in Indonesia is Smilax macrocarpa Blume (canar susu). Therefore, a preliminary study of phytochemicals and biological activities is required to encourage progress and novelty in science and to know its phylogenetics in Indonesia's biodiversity. The research was done by extraction method using maceration with methanol as a solvent. Simplicia characteristic, toxicity test with BSLT method, phytochemical screening according to Harborne method, and antibacterial activity test using microdilution against including Escherihia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus epidermidis were performed to leaf extract of canar susu. The results obtained that methanol extract of canar susu leaves contains alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids, tannins, terpenoids, saponins, and glycosides. Water content, ash content, acid-soluble ash content, water sari content, and alcohol sari concentration 8.74%; 3.60%; 0.11%; 19.01% and 5.40% respectively. Toxicity results obtained LC50 680.07 ppm. Antibacterial activity test against E. coli has MIC 625 ppm, whereas in P. aeruginosa and S. epidermidis ATCC 12228 are 1.250 ppm. The MBC values for E. coli, P. aeruginosa, and S. epidermidis ATCC 12228 were 5,000 ppm. Based on this result known S. macrocarpa Blume is not potential as antibacterial, but potential as biopesticide according to toxicity result. Kriteria Beers 2015 merupakan kriteria untuk mengidentifikasi PIMs. Pengambilan sampel secara retrospektif dengan pengambilan sampel acak sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pasien paling banyak berusia 75-90 tahun, jenis kelamin laki-laki, lama rawat <7 hari dengan polifarmasi ≥5 macam obat. Dari 97 pasien, sebanyak 93 mengalami kejadian PIMs dengan 261 kejadian PIMs. Obat yang dihindari adalah omeprazol (31,57%). Obat yang masih bisa digunakan dengan hati-hati adalah furosemid (45,68%). Obat yang membutuhkan penyesuaian dosis adalah ranitidin (11,11%). Aktivitas antifungi dilakukan dengan metode dilusi padat untuk memperoleh nilai KHM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak etanol daun kamboja merah mengandung flavonoid dan terpenoid. KHM yang didapat adalah 1750 ppm. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan maserasi menggunakan etanol 96% kemudian di fraksinasi dengan n-heksan, kloroform, etilasetat berdasarkan tingkat polaritas. Uji dilanjutkan kromatografi lapis tipis menggunakan fase diam silika gel GF 254 dan fase gerak campuran. Spot yang ada dilihat dibawah UV 254 nm dan 366 nm serta disemprot dengan reagen penampak noda. Ekstrak dan fraksi kemudian diuji aktivitas sitotosiknya dengan metode MTT, serta induksi apoptosis dengan metode double staining dan flowcytometri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanolik batang brotowali mengandung senyawa flavanoid, fenolik, dan terpenoid. Ekstrak mempunyai efek sitotoksik dengan IC50 sebesar 314 µg/ml dan fraksi F3 sebagai fraksi aktif mempunyai efek sitotoksik dengan IC50 sebesar 146 µg/ml. Pada konsentrasi 25 µg/ml, fraksi mampu menginduksi apoptosis sebesar 28,9 %, kontrol sel 17,90% dan doksorubisin 63,12%. Pasien setelah masa rawat inap berpotensi pada masalah kepatuhan dalam penggunaan antibiotik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor pendukung kepatuhan pasien infeksi dalam menggunakan antibiotik sefiksim setelah masa rawat inap di Rumah Sakit Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode non-experimental berdasarkan pada pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis dengan cara wawancara mendalam (indepth interview). Wawancara dilakukan dua kali pada hari ke-7 setelah keluar dari rumah sakit dan satu minggu setelah wawancara pertama. Hasil wawancara dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan proses berfikir induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor pendukung kepatuhan pasien infeksi dalam meminum antibiotik sefiksim setelah masa rawat inap adalah keinginan untuk sembuh, informasi bahwa antibiotik harus dihabiskan, takut terjadi kekambuhan, diingatkan anggota keluarga, bentuk sediaan, kondisi kesehatan yang memburuk dan mengikuti saran dokter. Selain itu, didapatkan hasil bahwa pasien patuh meminum dan menghabiskan antibiotik sesuai aturan pakai.
