More specifically, we have proposed a command specifically dedicated to these robotic structures to take advantage of their capacity for interaction at the articular level of the human limb. The robust control proposed is quite simple in principle. But we have seen that the dynamic modeling of the upper limb exoskeleton is strongly nonlinear. It is therefore necessary to implement specific techniques for calculating compatible trajectories to achieve this end. The nominal adaptive control showed the efficiency and robustness in closed loop.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"82 1","pages":"330-335"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84389909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In terms of quality of service (QoS), device management, and energy efficiency, RPL beats competing wireless sensor and ad hoc routing protocols. However, several attacks could threaten the network due to the problem of unauthenticated or unencrypted control frames, centralized root controllers, compromised or unauthenticated devices. Thus, in this paper, we aim to investigate the effect of topology and Resources attacks on RPL.s efficiency. The Hello Flooding attack, Increase Number attack and Decrease Rank attack are the three forms of Resources attacks and Topology attacks respectively chosen to work on. The simulations were done to understand the impact of the three different attacks on RPL performances metrics including End-to-End Delay (E2ED), throughput, Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) and average power consumption. The findings show that the three attacks increased the E2ED, decreased the PDR and the network throughput, and degrades the network’, which further raises the power consumption of the network nodes.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"17 1","pages":"143-148"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87292495","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it confronts a major challenge which is plant disease. Around 42% of the world’s total crops are destroyed yearly by diseases. So, the identification of plant disease in an earlier stage is critical for minimizing the use of pesticides and reducing crop loss. This research is focusing on the recognition and classification of various tomato and pepper diseases based on Deep learning techniques. Two Convolutional neural networks (CNN) models Resnet 152 and Resnet 50 are used with and without data augmentation. This technique is used when the datasets are small, it expands the number of training images without adding new images. A self-dataset of 488 images of tomato and pepper diseases leaves are collected in Monastir, Tunisia region under the supervision of an agricultural engineer working in the field of plant protection in the Minister of Agriculture. The trained model with data augmentation gives better results than without applying it.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"1 1","pages":"149-154"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89364276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For instance, efficient content placement strategy can mitigate the content download delay. Motivated by this hot-topic, we investigate in this paper proactive delay-aware edge caching problem in Cloud Radio Access Network (C-RAN). We introduce a new approach based on Queuing Theory to reduce the average content end-to-end delay in the network. Traffic at the Base Band Unit (BBU) as well as at the Radio Remote Head (RRH) are modeled as M/M/1/ queues. Then, the impact of the arrival rate, cache size and popularity distribution parameter on the average delivery delay is studied. This approach will consequently help set a new strategy of proactive content placement. Simulation results showed that our proposed content placement strategy outperforms common placement strategies.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"155 1","pages":"91-96"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75164055","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Optimizing energy consumption in commercial buildings plays a major role in reducing overall carbon footprint and operations cost. Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems contribute to about 40%-50% of the total electricity consumption in a commercial buildings, placing an economic burden on building operations. Optimal management of HVAC systems is challenging due to the non-linear nature of the control problem arising out of several stochastic internal and external factors or disturbances. Conventional HVAC systems are controlled via PID controllers. Recently, a growing interest has been observed in Artificial Intelligence based HVAC control systems to improve comfort conditions while avoiding unnecessary energy consumption. In this paper, we explore the applications of an actor-critic based model free deep reinforcement learning to control the temperature of a room serving an office building. The RL control strategy is compared with the conventional PID controller, which goes out of tune during dynamic thermal load. Further, we explore the factors that affect the performance of the actor-critic based RL controller.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"1 1","pages":"23-28"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76203834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to overcome the problem of important computation time and the control loop delay due to the sequential processing of the control algorithm for wind generator, a Xilinx Zynq-FPGA is proposed as an alternative solution, thanks to its parallel processing. In fact, the Xilinx Zynq-FPGA is characterized by a hardware architecture with parallel computation. Indeed, the FPGA technology has great advantages like the programmable wired function, the fast computing capability, the shorter design cycle, the integrated processor, the low power consumption and the higher density. The studied system is composed of a wind turbine, a permanent magnet synchronous generator, and two converters (a rectifier and an inverter) linked by a DC bus. The system is connected to the grid through a resistor–inductor filter. The proposed control strategy performances are evaluated by digital simulation utilizing an Xilinx System Generator (XSG) toolbox that guaranties rapid and efficient prototyping of the implemented architecture on the FPGA device. In fact, the hardware architectures of the rectifier vector control and the inverter vector control are designed using the XSG tool. The obtained results demonstrate that the XSG simulation offers better results in terms of tracking and accuracy.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"120 1","pages":"49-54"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75790576","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Electrostatic comb drive actuator with trapezoidal-shaped geometry is reliable as compared to a rectangular shaped system because of maximum displacement and large driving force. The limitation in the use of the trapezoidal-shaped electrostatic actuating system is a pull-in phenomenon because of the angular effect and large driving voltage. In this research work, a trapezoidal-shaped comb-drive actuator with curved flexures is designed and analyzed to minimize driving voltage through the low stiffness of curved beams. With a driving voltage of 36.6V, displacement of 25μm is achieved in this research work. A comparison of these results with published works is also presented and discussed.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"135 1","pages":"307-312"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80431897","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
