As such the use of EDA tools becomes a necessity while researchers develop and test their proposals. Most of these tools are proprietary, rendering them cost inefficient and sometimes redundant due to their commercial nature, especially for academic use. In our paper we present and briefly describe a few open-source alternatives hosted in PyPI, a software repository for Python related projects, and we evaluate them in terms of their application field, development stage as well as their community evaluation.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"53 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73052828","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The popularity of Mobile Device Applications (MDAs) in the last decade has introduced new interaction environments and thus the need to formulate, develop and adapt to them, theories, and methods of UX. We present UX as a theoretical and practical framework and record its methodology - both the general one for various systems so far, and the specific one for Mobile Device Applications and more specifically for those that project cultural content in conventional ways and through augmentation. As part of the research, high-fidelity prototypes were designed and were tested during a user survey (usability test, questionnaire) for extracting conclusions to improve the design of the application.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"110 4 1","pages":"1-8"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79419623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although there are published articles on smart agricultural vehicles in the literature, we have discovered that there are still many improvements that can be achieved either in hardware or software. After reviewing all the related works, we decided on the key features that need to be improved and thus we present the construction of an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) that can act proactively to reduce potential diseases in crops. In designing the UGV, emphasis was placed on the robustness and durability of the structure. The developed navigation algorithm takes real-time data to plan the optimal route to ensure optimal energy efficiency in relation to the distance covered. To achieve optimal results, we use position optimization algorithms. In this way we achieve the use of the coated vehicle in various linear crops.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"149 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85374789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study we performed a 10-meter stand up and walking test on 25 normal individuals. All subjects were walking at their comfortable speed during the test. The subjects were wearing in-soles equipped with 9 pressure sensors on each foot (the W-inshoe system by Medicapteurs). The W-inshoe system is simple, relatively cheap and reliable. System’s software is quite outdated, has multiple bugs and does not produce the appropriate numerical gait parameters, so we developed an algorithm to process the raw data from the insoles using MATLAB. The developed algorithm can successfully process the pressure data, remove noise, and produce the appropriate gait parameters accurately. Using the algorithm on our sampling pool, we procured the following results: Average peak pressure range was 644 to 1555 gram force (average: 1000gf, average stance period range was 0.64 to 0.85 seconds (average: 0. 76s) and double support period range was 0.17 to 22s (average: 0. 18s). Even though there were only 9 sensors in every insole, the data were sufficient to develop the algorithm. In the future, the algorithm could be used on a cloud-based application to extract pressure and spatiotemporal gait parameters from a simple and reliable insole system.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"220 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79869895","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proliferation and the level of maturity of digital technologies present a significant opportunity for augmenting silversmithing processes with digital manufacturing tools. We investigate the process of 3D scanning, considering the workflow used by the silversmithing artisans of Ioannina and evaluate three structured light 3D scanners in terms of quality of output, ease of use and affordability. Our findings indicate that there is no significant difference in the quality of the output between the expensive and the budget options. The budget options are, however, slower and more difficult to use making them unsuitable for some artisans.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"48 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82891379","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This awareness should aim to represent ‘the new generation’ that contributes considerably to electronic equipment consumption growth. This paper describes the two stages process that we followed to raise awareness and to explore pupils’ knowledge and attitudes related to e-waste management and recycling in Greece. We report the original outcomes exported from a secondary education group of pupils who participated in a project about e-waste recycling and sustainability in the first stage and filled out a questionnaire in the second stage. We analyze their responses in order to elicit prior knowledge on e-waste and their - after the first stage - perceptions, sustainability awareness and intention to recycle their e-waste. The results indicate that education for e-waste recycling awareness is critical in achieving environmental-related skills, behaviour and attitudes consistent with sustainable development and the protection of the planet. In addition, many pupils have the intention and want to contribute to e-waste recycling as they understand its purpose and the subsequent environmental benefits.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"11 1","pages":"1-7"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76308160","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The acquired data can be used to develop a dynamic thermal model describing the operation of a thermal substation coupled to a reference building using different surrogate approaches. This work presents a decision support system for predicting the thermal request profile at a building level and optimizing the substation operation. The equipment needed and the development of the remote control monitoring system is initially described. Then, the utilization of surrogate models for generating a dynamic thermal model is presented. Finally, we validate the proposed decision support system through the experimental analysis of an actual unit, serving a building of 6,000m2 in the district heating network of Kozani, Greece. Surrogate models are generated capable of predicting both the primary and the secondary source temperature. The presented methodology could be utilized in the context of a building model, incorporating the local thermal substation model. Results can be useful towards the optimization of the district heating operation, as well as towards the integration of alternative primary energy sources, potential renewable based ones, which is the case through the on-going decarbonization of the Greek electrical system.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"41 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90780070","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
