Different time scales of regional features of warm extremes are performed using rotated empirical orthogonal function (REOF) analysis and time scale departure methods. Clearly, significant differences are found in multi-scale of warm extremes. Significant increasing linear trends are detected in Northeast China, Inner Mongolia, northwestern part of Xinjiang, and southwestern China. However, in middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River, southern China and lower reaches of Yellow River basin, the linear trend is not remarkable, but the interannual pattern is the leading part, with several extreme peaks. The links with global temperature anomalies are studied, focusing in northeastern China and in middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River. It is found that the extreme indices show largest correlations with temperature anomalies in the Pacific Ocean. We detect that in northeastern and inland areas, high-related regions of frequency of warm extremes and the global temperature anomalies are broader, while the high-related area is smaller in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the coastal regions.","PeriodicalId":6408,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Environmental Science and Information Application Technology","volume":"44 1","pages":"458-461"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75790454","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The WST in Lake Taihu has a good relationship with the algae bloom. Thermal infrared remote sensing will provide a effecitve tool for detecting the WST. China HJ satellite is another satellite monitoring environment pollution and natural disasters which is subsequent to China FY, CBERS and HY satellite launched. With HJ/IRS images, the WST in Lake Taihu is retrieved by a generalized single channel algorithm. The results show that the retrieval accuracy of HJ/IRS image is above 1□ in Lake Taihu. As its high spatial and temporal resolution, HJ/IRS image is desirable to use for retrieving temperature of land waters. The WST in Lake Taihu can occur constantly spatial and temporal change. The WST is various in the different area, which can be due to the direction and velocity of water current. And the WST is always higher in the surrounding area than in the centre. This may result from the effect of inlands climate.","PeriodicalId":6408,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Environmental Science and Information Application Technology","volume":"11 1","pages":"560-565"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91120784","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first hierarchy consists of seven items, which are topography, geology, unfavorable geological condition, special stratigraphy, structural design, tunnel section and depth of embedment, shafts and pilot tunnels. An Analytic Hierarchy Process model is established to prioritize the risk factors in highway tunnels. In the decision making procedure, five experienced experts were organized and surveyed to give their judgments on the importance of different influencing factors to work out the priority. In order to verify the validity of the AHP analysis, two other experts were asked to give their comprehensive evaluation on the same question, results from the two processes are close to each other, this indicates that the AHP method adopted in prioritizing the risk factors of tunnel construction is effective and exercisable, it can be further developed to satisfy the requirements of the risk evaluation process for highway tunnels.","PeriodicalId":6408,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Environmental Science and Information Application Technology","volume":"25 1","pages":"1205-1207"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90867582","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The suboptimal variance benchmark is calculated by the proposed iterative linear matrix inequality (ILMI) technique, taking the dynamic performance of the closed-loop system into account. Thus the resulting variance benchmark is more practical than the conventional single variance benchmark. Consequently, a modified assessing strategy is developed to evaluate the output variance and transient behavior simultaneously. Simulation examples illustrated the validity of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":6408,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Environmental Science and Information Application Technology","volume":"5 1","pages":"881-886"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90402152","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The numerical computation is done by Matlab to calculate the weight of each factor. The computation value of TCC of Chinese steel industry in 2006 is 0.4192.
