Shavrov","doi":"10.1134/s0021364024601039","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1134/s0021364024601039","url":null,"abstract":"<p>Features of resonant photon transmission that are due to the hybridization of gyrotropy and spatial dispersion, which are two independent mechanisms for the collapse of the Fano resonance, have been studied in a layer of an optically transparent magnetic dielectric between two identical anisotropically conducting metasurfaces, as well as in a finite one-dimensional superlattice with the same elementary period. In particular, it has been shown that the appearance of interference-type “dark” states with zero radiative width in the emission spectrum of radiative polaritons can be accompanied by the suppression of the full electromagnetic transparency of the layer, which is inherent in the two-mode model of the formation of such bound states in the continuum. Maps of the temperature distribution on the sample during the heating have been obtained. The structure and properties of the transformation products have been studied by X-ray diffraction analysis, transmission electron microscopy, and Mössbauer spectroscopy. It is established that a characteristic feature of ferrocene transformations upon laser heating is the simultaneous formation of nanoparticles of iron (α-Fe) and iron carbide (Fe<sub>7</sub>C<sub>3</sub>) crystalline phases. The presence of α-Fe in the products of thermal transformations of ferrocene at high pressures has been observed for the first time. It is shown that the epitaxial strain in the YFeO<sub>3</sub>/SrTiO<sub>3</sub> thin film significantly changes the crystal structure and displaces iron atoms located at the film surface from the plane formed by the nearest oxygen atoms. These distortions lead to a change in the type of long-range magnetic ordering from the G-type antiferromagnetic ordering observed in stoichiometric YFeO<sub>3</sub> to ferrimagnetic ordering close to the A-type antiferromagnetism and to the transition from the insulating state to metallic one. The complete relaxation of atomic positions gives rise to a “breathing mode” distortion in the film bulk, which is accompanied by the electric polarization of 15.1 μC/cm<sup>2</sup>. The latter is in agreement with the experiment. Numerical calculations using the operator scattering theory have shown the bending of the localization region of the electromagnetic field near the shadow surface of the dielectric sphere when it is shifted with respect to the waist center of the Gaussian beam, leading to the formation of the so-called “photonic hook” with the properties depending on the polarization and frequency of the incident radiation. The possibility of reaching a spatial resolution of 0.38λ in the studied range has been shown experimentally. Levshakov","doi":"10.1134/s0021364024600952","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1134/s0021364024600952","url":null,"abstract":"<p>We report on the using of torsion-rotational transitions in the CH<sub>3</sub>OH and <sup>13</sup>CH<sub>3</sub>OH molecules to evaluate possible variations of the electron-to-proton mass ratio μ = <i>m</i><sub><i>e</i></sub>/<i>m</i><sub><i>p</i></sub> from spectral observations of emission lines detected in the microwave range towards the dense molecular cloud Orion-KL. An estimate of the upper limit on the relative changes in μ is obtained by two independent ways with <sup>13</sup>CH<sub>3</sub>OH lines and with the combination of <sup>13</sup>CH<sub>3</sub>OH and CH<sub>3</sub>OH lines. It includes the direct measurement of the temporal profile of the transmitted terahertz pulse, the extraction of the pulse corresponding to multiple reflections from the object surfaces, and its analysis without the Fourier transform algorithm. The method is tested on one-dimensional gratings that are photodynamically induced on the gallium arsenide surface and support the excitation of collective plasmonic modes in the terahertz range. In the presence of spin-anisotropic polariton-polariton interactions, the condensate spontaneously takes an elliptically polarised state, whose perturbation dynamics can be interpreted in terms of the presence of strong effective magnetic field significantly surpassing the external one. Surprisingly, this behaviour of the addressed strongly out-of-equilibrium system in the vicinity of a critical point exhibits intriguing analogy with the second-order phase transition. In this work, optically active nitrogen-vacancy color centers NV<sup>–</sup> in a <sup>28</sup>Si-enriched (nuclear spin <span>(I = 0)</span>) 6H-<sup>28</sup>SiC crystal have been studied using the photoinduced (<span>(lambda )</span> = 980 nm) high-frequency (94 GHz, 3.4 T) pulsed electron paramagnetic resonance method at a temperature of <span>(T = 150{kern 1pt} )</span> K. Three structurally nonequivalent types of NV<sup>–</sup> centers with axial symmetry have been identified and their spectroscopic parameters have been determined. The stable propagation of such “light bullets” in a moderate nonlinear regime is ensured by a transverse parabolic profile of the refraction index in a multimode waveguide. The transverse motion of centers of mass of wave packets in such systems occurs on classical trajectories of a harmonic oscillator, whereas the motion in the longitudinal direction is uniform. Therefore, collisions of two solitons can be not only head-on but also tangential.
