{"title":"[Application of c-kit+ Cardiac Stem Cells in Cardiac Regeneration and Repair].","authors":"Mei Yang,&nbsp;Li Zhang","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><p>The epidemic of cardiovascular disease (CVD)is a global phenomenon,and the morbidity is increasing rapidly in China.The loss of cardiomyocytes has not been solved yet ,which is the critical issue of CVD.And stem cell transplantation may be a new potential therapy.The therapeutic potential of c-kit + CSCs in cardiac diseases has been proved by plentiful preclinical and clinical studies.But ,for the absence of direct and sufficient evidence that either endogenous or exogenous adult c-kit + CSCs differenti-ate into a relevant number of mature functional myocytes,the therapeutic mechanism is still controversial.
