The implementation of the lesson study aimed to improve the quality of teacher teaching and students’ participation in learning. Lesson Study that had been implemented is a design in 3 cycles consisting of the activities of planning (plan), implementation (do) and reflection (see). The subjects of Lesson Study observation were social study teacher and students of the seventh grade in the even semester in Academic Year of 2017/2018 with a total of 13 students. Video, photos, discussions and observations were used to analyze the data, which were then analyzed by qualitative descriptive. The results obtained showed that students’ interest and motivation experienced an increase in following social study learning, as evidenced by the increase in students' participation in completing the tasks given by the teacher. Abstrak: Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) masih dianggap Mata Pelajaran yang membosankan dan kurang menarik di SMP Muhammadiyah Kembaran, hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil ujian pada semester ganjil di Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 5 siswa dari 13 siswa kelas VII yang tidak lulus pada mata pelajaran ini. Pelaksanaan Lesson Study kali ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran guru dan partisispasi siswa dalam pembelajaran. Lesson Study dilaksanakan dengan desain 3 siklus yang terdiri dari kegiatan perencanaan (plan), implementasi (do), dan refleksi (see). Subjek pengamatan lesson study ini adalah guru IPS dan siswa kelas VII pada semester genap di Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 dengan total 13 siswa. Video, foto, diskusi dan observasi digunakan untuk menganalisis data, yang kemudian dianalisis dengan deskripsi kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa minat dan motivasi siswa mengalami peningkatan dalam mengikuti pembelajaran IPS, yang dibuktikan dengan partisipassi siswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan oleh guru. The media card of this question was made with the Research and Development method through Borg and Gall process steps (R & D) consisting of preliminary research information, planning, initial product development, initial product testing, major product revisions, main product trials, operational product revisions, final product revisions. The results of the feasibility test of the card about the feasibility of content, language, graphics, and presentation by the validator get an average value of 98.6% with a very feasible ratio. In just a small scale trial the average score is 16.9 with a very good category, while for large scale the average score is 19.6 with a very good category. Use it from the search for the situation above so that card media from abroad can be represented as learning media. Keywords: Learning Media; Question Card; Media Feasibility Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran kimia berupa kartu soal untuk perhitungan pH pada materi larutan penyangga di SMA Negeri 1 Jenamas. Media kartu soal ini dihasilkan dengan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Research and Development) menurut Borg and Gall melalui langkah – langkah proses ( R & D ) terdiri dari penelitian awal pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan, pengembangan produk awal, uji coba produk awal, revisi produk utama, uji coba produk utama, revisi produk operasional, revisi produk final. Hasil uji kelayakan media kartu soal kelayakan isi, bahasa, kegrafisan, dan penyajian oleh validator mendapatkan skor rata – rata sebesar 98,6% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Pada uji coba skala kecil mendapatkan rata – rata skor sebesar 16,9 dengan kategori sangat baik, sedangkan untuk skala besar mendapatkan rata – rata skor sebesar 19,6 dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian diatas maka dapat disimpulkan media kartu soal layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interview and documentation activities. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The cultivation of the values of kemuhamamdiyahan based on national insight has been implemented by the students in daily activities both in the learning and field activities, but there is no specific method or strategy in the learning that integrates the two things; 2) Supporting factors for planting the value of kemuhamamdiyahan based on national insight because the curriculum study program that has been referring to the vision and mission of the university to print the students superior and Islamic so that it can be integrated in the form of RPS lecturers; 3) Factors inhibiting the planting of the value of kemuhamamdiyahan based on national insight because of the fanatical ideology of a particular Islamic religion outside the movement of muhamamdiyah on the student study program. Keywords: Kemuhammadiyahan Values, National Insight, PPKn. Abstrak:Tujuan dari penulisan artikel hasil penelitianini  adalah  untuk mengetahui: 1) penanaman nilai-nilai kemuhammadiyahan berbasis wawasan kebangsaan pada mahasiswa prodi PPKn; 2) faktor pendukung dan penghambat penanaman nilai kemuhammadiyahan berbasis wawasan kebangsaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan study fenomenologis. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui kegiatan wawancara dan dokumentasi. This research is a qualitative research by observing the learning process of reading skills by applying flipped classroom learning. The research subjects were 35 students in the first semester, and lecturers in reading skills. Data were collected through classroom observations and interviews. In the class observations, researchers observed and recorded everything that happens in the form of field notes. Interviews adopted open questions and participants gave open responses. The results showed that students had a visual learning style (28.6%), auditory (22.9%) and kinesthetic (22.9%). Keywords: flipped classroom, learning style, students  Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gaya belajar mahasiswa dalam mengikuti mata kuliah keterampilan membaca. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan mengamati proses pembelajaran mata kuliah keterampilan membaca dengan penerapan pembelajaran flipped classroom. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 35 mahasiswa pada semester pertama, dan dosen mata kuliah keterampilan membaca. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas dan wawancara. Dalam observasi kelas, peneliti mengamati dan merekam semua yang terjadi dalam bentuk catatan lapangan. Wawancara mengadopsi pertanyaan terbuka dan para partisipan memberikan tanggapan terbuka. The focus of the representation used in this study is the external representation in terms of differences in the ability of high, medium and low ability students. The method used in this research. The three subjects performed representations of algebraic symbols in solving non-routine problems. Two subjects directly represent the things related to the problem with. However, one subject is not appropriate in performing symbol representation because of an error in its form, not in its completion. In this study also found the number of students inset in non-routine problem solving. Keyword: representation, non-routin problem Abstrak: Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan representasi siswa kelas X SMA dalam menyelesaikan masalah non-rutin matematika. Fokus representasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah representasi eksternal yang ditinjau dari perbedaan kemampuan matematika siswa berkemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini wawancara berbasis tugas, dengan pemberian tes representasi masalah non-rutin. Ketiga subjek melakukan representasi berbentuk simbol aljabar dalam melakukan penyelesaian masalah non-rutin. Dua subjek secara langsung merepresentasikan hal-hal yang diketahui dalam masalah dengan simbol variabel secara tepat. Namun satu subjek tidak tepat dalam melakukan representasi simbol variabel karena mengalami kesalahan dalam menerjemahkan permasalahan ke dalam bentuk simbol, sehingga dalam penyelesaiannya pun didapatkan penyelesaian yang salah. Dalam penelitian ini juga ditemukan kurangnya number sense siswa dalam penyelesaian masalah non-rutin. This research is quantitative research with quasi experimental design and used Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population of this research was students grade VII SMP Negeri Satu Atap Merjosari Malang. The research samples were VII-A and VII-C class. The data collection technique used short story arrangement test, observation, and interview. Instrument validity used in this research are content validity. Reliability test was conducted with alpha cronbach. The result calculation shows the reliability value is in a number of 0,902 > from coefficient 0,6. The data analysis technique was conducted by using T-test technique by considering homogenity and normality terms. The result shows that the lowest score in control group that was 15, the highest score was 25, and mean 20,67. Meanwhile, the lowest score in experimental group that was 21, the highest was 32, and mean 27,73. It shows that there was significant difference of ability in arranging short story between control group and experimental group. T-test score result of pretest and posttest in experimental group was in the value of –t count dari koefisien 0,6. Teknik analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik uji-t dengan memerhatikan syarat normalitas dan homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kelompok kontrol skor terendah yang didapatkan siswa 15, skor tertinggi 25, dan mean 20,67. Sementara itu, pada kelompok eksperimen skor terendah yang didapatkan siswa 21, skor tertinggi 32, dan mean 27,73. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menyusun cerpen yang signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen. Hasil uji-t skor pretest dan posttest kelompok eksperimen menghasilkan nilai t hitung < -t tabel (-11,599 < 2,048). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, teknik Hypnoteaching memiliki pengaruh pada pembelajaran menyusun cerpen di kelas VII. This research is a type of quasi experiment research (quasi experiment). The population in this study was class X of the Khamas Asembagus Vocational School which consisted of 3 classes with 80 students. The sample in this study is class X TKJ 1 as many as 24 students as the experimental class and class X MM as many as 31 students as the control class. Data collection in this study was conducted using a test and then analyzed by t-test. The results of the analysis show that tcount> ttable or 3.198> 1.6741, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the level of understanding of students' concepts in mathematics between those using the discovery learning model and the direct teaching model.  Keywords: Discovery Learning, Learning Outcomes, mathematical concepts Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingat pemahaman konsep siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika yang menggunakan model discovery learning dan model pengajaran langsung pada siswa kelas X SMK Khamas Asembagus tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian quasi experiment (kuasi eksperimen). Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas X SMK Khamas Asembagus yang terdiri dari 3 kelas dengan jumlah 80 siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas X TKJ 1 sebanyak 24 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MM sebanyak 31 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan test dan selanjutnya dianalisis dengan uji t-test. The reseacher used classroom action research. The research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four steps. They are planning, acting, observation, and reflecting. In collecting the data, the researcher used test, interview, and observation. In analyzing the data, the researcher used statistic descriptive. The research implementations showed that there was an improvement in students’ speaking ability after Realia implemented in the teaching and learning process, and the students showed better achievement in speaking ability. The strengths were the students become active in classroom, enthusiastic, excited and motivated in the class. The students give more attention to the lesson and they were attracted to do the exercise during teaching learning process. The students more focused to the lesson during the activity in teaching learning process. The activities of Realia is attracted the students’ motivation and interested to the students. The researcher found that that Realia make the class becomes conducive. Meanwhile the weaknesses of using realia are the student had a difficulties to speak something caused of the limited vocabularies and confused how to pronounce the word in English and it spends much time to prepare the media. Keywords :Realia, English ability, Enthusiastic Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kekuatan dan kelemahan menggunakan realia. Peneliti menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat langkah yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Dalam mengumpulkan data, peneliti menggunakan tes, wawancara, dan observasi. Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan kemampuan berbicara siswa setelah Realia diimplementasikan dalam proses belajar mengajar, dan siswa menunjukkan prestasi yang lebih baik dalam kemampuan berbicara. Kekuatan menggunakan realia adalah siswa menjadi aktif di kelas, antusias, bersemangat dan termotivasi di kelas. Para siswa lebih memperhatikan pelajaran dan mereka tertarik untuk melakukan latihan selama proses belajar mengajar. Para siswa lebih fokus pada pelajaran selama kegiatan belajar mengajar. Kegiatan Realia menarik motivasi siswa dan tertarik kepada siswa. Peneliti menemukan bahwa Realia membuat kelas menjadi kondusif. English for business is a compulsory subject for non-English study program. The purposes of this research were to identify the students’ attitude toward role palying activity in the class and the implementation of role play in the class. The participants of this research were 25 students from management study program who took English for business subject. Questionnaire and interview were used for collecting the data. Those data were then analyzed and tabulated. The result of this study is most students have positive attitudes to role playing activity during studying English for business. Given situation based on the topics and playing the role in the class makes the students more motivated to speak English. This activity facilitates them to improve and practice their English speaking ability. Keywords: Role playing, English for business, students’ attitude Abstrak: Peneliti melakukan penelitian tentang aktivitas bermain peran dalam Bahasa Inggris untuk bisnis di STIE Gentiaras. Bahasa Inggris untuk bisnis adalah mata pelajaran wajib untuk program studi non-Bahasa Inggris. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sikap mahasiswa terhadap aktivitas bermain peran di kelas dan pelaksanaan bermain peran di kelas. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 25 mahasiswa dari program studi manajemen yang mengambil mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris untuk bisnis. Kuesioner dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Data-data itu kemudian dianalisis dan ditabulasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki sikap positif terhadap aktivitas bermain peran selama belajar Bahasa Inggris untuk bisnis. Situasi yang diberikan berdasarkan pada topik dan memainkan peran di kelas membuat mahasiswa lebih termotivasi untuk berbicara bahasa Inggris. This research used classroom action research method. Analysis of the problems in using directed dialogue journal on news item texts was analyzed descriptively and the university students’ news items writings were analyzed in all components of writing. Results of the analysis reveals that the problems in using directed dialogue journals were lack of time and idea to response the comments. However, the lecturer were able to overcome those problems by planning what he did in the lesson plan efficiently and training how to response the comments in the written conversation to improve their writing. In successions overall, there was significant improvement on the students class mastery of final draft from the first to third cycles. They were 38.5%, 65%, 92%. Content was the writing component that improves significantly in this research. It means that directed dialogue journal on news items texts was able to improve the students writing skill when the problems were identified and solved. Keywords: directed dialogue journal, news items texts, writing components Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dialog jurnal terarah pada penulisan teks berita yang ditujukan untuk mahasiswa Indonesia yang menggunakan bahasa inggris sebagai bahasa asing dalam hal (1) permasalahan yang mahasiswa hadapi dalam menggunakan dialog jurnal terarah dan (2) bagaimana tulisan mahasiswa setelah menggunakan dialog jurnal terarah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Masalah dalam menerapkan dialog jurnal terarah pada teks berita berita dianalisis secara deskriptif dan semua komponen teks tulis berita mahasiswa dianalisis. Hasil analisis mengungkapkan bahwa masalah dalam melaksanakan dialog jurnal terarah adalah kurangnya waktu dan ide untuk merespon komentar yang diberikan. Namun, dosen mampu mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan merencanakan apa yang dia lakukan dalam rencana pengajaran secara efisien dan melatih bagaimana merespon komentar dalam percakapan tertulis untuk meningkatkan tulisan mereka. Secara berturut-turut, ada peningkatan yang signifikan pada penguasaan kemampuan menulis pada draf akhir dari siklus pertama hingga ketiga sebesar 38,5%, 65%, 92%. Isi merupakan komponen tulisan yang meningkat secara signifikan dalam penelitian ini.
