There are two different kinds of motivation: integrative and instrumental. Instrumental motivation moves learners to learn a language because of positive attitudes toward the target language, culture, community, way of life, literature, etc. Integrative motivation drives individuals to learn a language for practical reasons. This study aimed to determine the motivation for learning English as a foreign language among 12th-grade senior high school students and the factors that influence the students' motivation to learn English. The type of research used was a mixed method sequential explanatory model by conducting quantitative research first, followed by qualitative data collection. To collect the quantitative data, the researcher used questionnaires. Meanwhile, to manage the qualitative data, the researcher conducts semi-structured interviews. The result of the study shows that it was found that 12th-grade high school students have both integrative and instrumental motivation. Based on the needs analysis, one of them is that not all BIPA learners in SPK exhibit enthusiasm toward engaging with Indonesian reading materials. This displeasure comes from several factors including a general disinterest in reading, a lack of motivation to utilize the Indonesian language beyond the confines of language classes, and other obstacles like unappealing teaching materials. Thereby, this research aims to develop an Interactive Reading digital Module based on Contextual Approach in SPK. This research uses the RD method with the ADDIE Model design and has evaluation sessions at each stage. This article will focus on the developing stage and show validation results from the expert validators. Dari satu sisi masyarakatnya sangat menyadari bahwa berbagai bentuk folklore yang ada merupakan warisan yang perlu dipertahankan dan diperkenalkan kepada generasi muda. Namun dari sisi lain, usaha untuk memperkenalkan kepada generasi mudanya tidak berjalan sesuai yang diharapkan. Generasi muda saat ini sudah banyak tidak mengenal lagi berbagai bentuk folklore yang ada. Termasuk nilai-nilai kearifan lokalnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskrisikan nilai kearifan lokalnya yang terkandung dalam folklore masyarakat kabupaten Lingga. Metode penelitian yang peneliti gunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Sumber data adalah bentuk-bentuk folklore masyarakat kabupaten Lingga. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumen dan wawancara. Sementara teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Masa pandemi Covid-19 yang mengharuskan pembelajaran daring menuntut inovasi dalam strategi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini memaparkan hasil Focus Group Interview (FGI) mengenai pembelajaran kosakata bahasa Jepang di masa Pandemi dengan peserta 9 orang siswa D3 Bahasa Jepang Sekolah Vokasi UGM Angkatan 2018. Peserta yang merupakan generasi Z, walaupun akrab dengan teknologi, ternyata masih mencatat secara manual kosakata yang ingin dipelajari sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka. Selanjutnya sebagai solusi bagi permasalahan pembelajaran kosakata, ditawarkan aplikasi smartphone berbasis android bernama “Memora” yang digunakan untuk menambah perbendaharaan kosakata secara mandiri. Peserta FGI berpendapat bahwa “Memora” dapat menjadi salah satu strategi belajar kosakata di masa pandemi. Dengan “Memora”, siswa dapat memasukkan kosakata dan gambar yang dapat membantu pemahaman terhadap kata tersebut kapan saja dan di mana saja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk : (1) mengkaji penerapan teknik Peer review berbantuan artikel media daring untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran Production Ecrite 2; dan (2) memperoleh data keterampilan menulis mahasiswa dalam menulis teks berita bahasa Perancis untuk level A2 DELF. Dalam pelaksanaannya, metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode praeksperimental dengan desain The one groupe pre-test post-test design melalui tiga tahap, yaitu: 1) tahap prates; 2) tahap perlakuan; dan  3) tahap pascates. Dari data-data penelitian yang telah dianalisis, diperoleh  temuan  bahwa rata-rata skor tes awal sebesar = 67,46, ini menunjukan kemampuan awal mahasiswa tentang materi yang diujikan masih sangat rendah karena umumnya mahasiswa belum mempelajarinya. Setelah diberikan perlakuan berupa pembelajaran dengan teknik Peer review, diperoleh hasil rata-rata skor tes akhir sebesar 79,55. Penelitian ini bertujuan  mengembangkan perangkat penilaian keterampilan menulis bahasa Sunda akan memberikan informasi bagi sekolah, baik dari segi isi, cakupan, format maupun waktu penyampaian serta bermanfaat secara optimal bagi pembelajaran bahasa Sunda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian Research and Development  yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat model penilaian keterampilan menulis bahasa Sunda pada jenjang sekolah menengah pertama (SMP)). Temuan penelitian ini adalah (1) perangkat penilaian keterampilan menulis layak digunakan sebagai instrumen penilaian keterampilan keterampilan menulis di SMP karena  memiliki (a) kejelasan petunjuk penilaian, (b) kejelasan materi yang dinilai dengan alat penilaian, (c) penggunaan bahasa yang komunikatif dan baku, (c) penggunaan tata tulis yang benar. Berdasarkan hasil uji-coba, secara statistik menunjukkan bahwa  tes keterampilan menulis ada kesesuaian  dengan data lapangan , yakni (P-value = 0, 72541 0,05; RMSEA = 0,000 0,05; GFI = 1,70 0,9; AGFI = 1,43 0,9; PGFI = 1,37 0,9) menunjukkan bahwa ke- 23 perangkat tes keterampilan menulis  adalah baik dan layak digunakan. This study aims to identify language vitality of Sundanese in Cianjur City. Observations focused on language transmission, number and proportion of speakers, domains of use, domains and new media, availability of teaching and literacy materials, and quality of documentation. The formulation of the problem is how the language vitality of Sundanese in Cianjur City? This study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods performed with ethnographic research procedures. The research findings show that the condition of language transmission in children's language acquisition is at an insecure level and the language vitality is decreasing. The condition of the number and proportion of Sundanese speakers is classified as unsafe. The language vitality of Sundanese in the age group 0--14 years is decreasing. The domain of Sundanese language use includes languages that function as multilingual equality and speakers use each language for different functions. The language vitality is decreasing. The condition of the Sundanese domain and new media is dynamic because it is used in the domain of education, employment, broadcast media on television and radio, the internet, and the cyber world. The language vitality is good and could go to the language of science. The condition of Sundanese teaching materials and literacy has a variety of written material and is used as an educational language in schools, but is not used as an administrative language and the vitality of language is good and has the opportunity to go to science and technology. The condition of Sundanese documentation is complete, and the language vitality is good. Some experts state that communication is a form of verbal and nonverbal language. This study analyzes how pre-service teachers prepare to become professional English teachers in teaching English as a foreign language. By using two different theories, Brown (2007) and Hall (1959), the researchers investigate the extent to which pre-service teachers use verbal and non-verbal language in the practice of teaching English to elementary students. In collecting data, researchers conducted observations and interviews to research subjects. The researchers then analyzed the data in several stages and made conclusions. In a nutshell, all pre-service teachers with different levels, low and competent, use verbal and nonverbal language during their teaching practice. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan kelayakan isi dan muatan budaya buku ajar BIPA “Sahabatku Indonesia” tingkat BIPA 1 edisi tahun 2019 yang disusun oleh Badan Pengembangan Bahasa dan Perbukuan Kemendikbud. Penelitian berfokus pada kelayakan isi dan muatan budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan konten analisis. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar analisis dari teori penilaian kelayakan buku ajar berdasarkan Muchlis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku ajar Sahabatku Indonesia tingkat BIPA 1 “cukup layak” digunakan, dengan persentase kelayakan sebesar 65,8%.
