Major manufacturing units of pharmaceutical companies are successfully running in the developed countries like the USA, UK, Canada, Germany, Australia, Ireland, and Japan and the developing countries like China, India, Brazil, Argentina, and Thailand. Pharmaceutical compounds are entering into the ecosystem finally end up in the drinking water as well as in the food web. Excessive usage of antibiotics for animals, as well as human beings, generates superbugs, this is the root cause of superbug crisis and untreated superbug infection. This review proposed the current scenario of pharmaceutical waste and its effects globally. Furthermore, it compile the pharmaceutical pollution in soil, water resources, and also discussed the suitable treatment process.","PeriodicalId":54108,"journal":{"name":"Entomology and Applied Science Letters","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70824528","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To our previously published data, the list of coleopteran species has increased by 2 species. We were able to identify about 20 optional species that got into the bird's nest by accident. These species are not covered and discussed in this article. The rest of the species have complex biocenotic relationships with the host's nest. The transition of species to habitat under conditions of microbiocenosis, which is the nest, is an important evolutionary step. Which deserves a thorough study. In terms of its geographical position, the North Caucasus is a refugium for birds; many species are sedentary throughout the year. This has resulted in a high level of biodiversity of nidicolous Coleoptera compared to the northern geographic regions. The material presented in the article served to create a database on the species of Coleoptera living in nests of birds, this will allow in the future to analyze the seasonal dynamics of the number, as well as the association with one or another host. This work is relevant in the light of the latest data on climate change as well as anthropogenic pressure on natural ecosystems. The species composition of birds is decreasing, while the number of synanthropic species is increasing. Accordingly, we can predict the number of nidicolous species, some of them are of great sanitary and epidemiological significance.","PeriodicalId":54108,"journal":{"name":"Entomology and Applied Science Letters","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70826756","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of IVIG is rising in the world. The imposed drug sanctions have caused the import of this vital drug to be greatly reduced. Therefore, the preparation of a standard protocol that can lead to the improvement of the pattern of use can optimize its use in economic conditions and the existing drug shortage. This cross-sectional, prospective study was conducted in Baqiyatallah Alazam hospital. All patients who received IVIG in hospital wards were included and data were gathered according to the designed form. Finally, all data in similar months of 2019 and 2020 year were compared. 38 patients with a mean age of 42 years old were enrolled in this study. CIDP and ITP were the most causes of IVIG prescription. The total amount of IVIG in 2020 was fallen more than 37% in comparison with 2019 that saved about 1.3 billion Rials. The rate of drug use in third-level indications which is our main goal in reducing irrational IVIG consumption decreased 98.54%. IVIG shortage and the costs associated with taking this drug indicate the importance and value of DUE studies. Designing and conducting DUE studies is not possible without the presence of hospital pharmacists and pharmacotherapists. Pharmacists can prevent possible mistakes by conducting these studies so that the studies can be done in the best possible way.","PeriodicalId":54108,"journal":{"name":"Entomology and Applied Science Letters","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70842100","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The entomofauna is made up of 11 orders and 59 families, of which, 53 are in corn, 25 in wheat, and 24 in barley. The entomofaunal community is grouped into two functional groups according to their ecological role, and their diet: 1) EFG ́s (ecological functional groups), it includes herbivores, predators, parasitoids, pollinators, vectors, decomposers, and generalists; 2) TFG ́s (trophic functional guilds) comprise phytophagous, insectivores, decomposers, polyphages, Necrophagist, hematophagous, carnivores, nectarivorous, and mycophagy. The principal component analysis for the EFG ́s indicated a close relationship and dominance of herbivores and predators in corn, unlike wheat and barley, while for the phytophagic and insectivorous TFG ́s presented the same relationship. As far as it can be said that in maize cultivation, both functional and trophic relationships are established by antagonistic groups of plant hosts and predators, the other groups in wheat and barley being non-specific and generalist groups. This shows dominance of insects adapted to the development, growth, and phenology cycles in the corn crop, in which the abundance values denote a relationship with demographic factors typical of phytophages, and a smaller number of families of the other groups. The agronomic management and other ecological interactions in the agroecosystems are factors that contribute to the composition of functional groups for entomofauna in the grain crops studied.","PeriodicalId":54108,"journal":{"name":"Entomology and Applied Science Letters","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70832824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 112 hemodialysis patients who were referred to the hemodialysis wards of Ahvaz educational hospitals participated in this clinical trial. Randomly, patients were divided into test and control groups. One month after the completion of the educational sessions in the test group, using Chi-square, independent and even t-test, and Mann-Whitney tests, the questionnaires were re-completed by both groups and the data were was analyzed. Based on the results, although the two groups did not have any significant difference in lifestyle before the intervention, the lifestyle scores of the test group showed a significant increase compared to the control group after the educational intervention (p <0.0001). Also in addition, the scores of all structures of the theory of planned behavior, except for behavioral intension, showed a significant increase in the test group compared to the control group after the intervention (p <0.0001). Behavioral intention scores in the two groups revealed a significant difference before and after the intervention. An educational program designed based on a model of planned behavior can be used as an effective method to improve all aspects of lifestyle in hemodialysis patients. Designing and implementing educational programs based on the model of planned behavior is useful in increasing the participation of nurses to provide better educations to patients.","PeriodicalId":54108,"journal":{"name":"Entomology and Applied Science Letters","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70835231","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
