The method used is quantitative observational analytic with a case control study design. Case group was water parameters in endemic areas and the control group is in non-endemic areas. 43 samples of breeding water were taken from each area then water quality measurements were carried out. Data were analyzed using independent t-test. The results obtained mean temperature in endemic areas 27.51 ± 0.739 oC, salinity 2,544 ± 0.638 gr/l, and DO 7,253 ± 1,097 mg/l. The mean temperature in non-endemic areas is 25.7 ± 1.124 oC, salinity is 2.472 ± 2.365 gr/l, and DO is 6.479 ± 1.059 mg/l. P-value of statistical tests of differences in temperature, salinity, and DO parameters in endemic and non-endemic areas are 0.000, 0.266, and 0.001. It was concluded that temperature and DO parameters in endemic areas proved to be significantly different from those in non-endemic areas. The severity of the symptoms will be different for each woman. This research was conducted to find out whether the clinical symptoms that appear in menopausal women will cause disruption to quality of life. This study was conducted on menopausal women at Geriatric Poly at Simomulyo Health Center Surabaya in March - April 2019 using cross sectional method. Questionnaire was used to measure clinical symptoms in menopausal women and the QOLWHO-BREF questionnaire to assess the quality of life of menopausal women. Menopausal women in this study were at the age of 60.89 + 6.55 years. Menarche at the age of 12.49 + 1.74 years and Menopause at 49.41 + 4.88 years. For the BMI category mean at 24.33 + 4.02 kg / m2. Based on contraception used, it was found that most of women used combination pills (36.8%). Menopausal complaints consist of physical complaints and psychological complaints, for the major complaints from physical are complaints regarding bone and joint pain (86.5%) and for major complaints from psychological factor is a decrease in sexual desire (72.9%). The category of the amount of variety clinical symptoms that appear in each woman, it was found that at most of menopausal women felt 3 complaints (67.6%; 13.24 + 1.76). For the quality of life (WHOQOL) results, the overall quality of life criteria is in the very bad and bad category with the environmental domain being the lowest (3.04 + 10.93) and the better category compare than the other is the social relations domain (29.82 + 4.74) . The results of data analysis through the Spearman correlation test showed that there was a relationship between the number of complaints with a decrease in quality of life (Z = 3.15433; p = 0.00164) and it was found that menopausal women with complaints of menopause affected the decrease quality of life (Z = -4.30769; p <0.00001). Transmission of dengue through Aedes mosquito, so that the incidence is locally limited to the distance of flying. A role of mobility towards dengue spreading have not been consistent. This study aims to provide information about the role of family members’ mobility in dengue incidence by using observational study with case control design. Case group are families whose members have suffered from dengue in 2014-2016 and control groups are their neighbors. There were 114 people for case and 116 for control group which is divided into two locations namely Sleman and gamping. Data on DHF patients and their addresses were obtained from Health Office, and mobility obtained through questionnaires then analyzed using chi square to determine the role of mobility in DHF incidence. The results show that there is no significance relationship between family mobility and the incidence of DHF. In Gamping, P high - low is 0.307 and P moderate - low is 0.523. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), is a reproductive problem with hormonal disorders. Infertility Female with PCOS is associated with anovulation, high LH and hyperandrogenism. The purpose of this study was to analyze differences in age and body mass index (BMI) of PCOS women undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). This was an observational analytic study. The subjects of the study were women aged 30-40 years who undergoing IVF-assisted fertilization program at Yasmin Clinic - RSCM Kencana who was diagnosed as PCOS. As a comparison are women 30-40 years who have infertility problems but not PCOS  who underwent IVF-assisted fertilization program. Women diagnosed with PCOS based on the Rotterdam 2003 consensus definition, and reinforced with ultrasound examinations that show polycystic ovary symptoms. Diagnosis is performed by a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Age data is taken from medical record and IMT data is calculated based on formula body weight/height2. Data analysis was done by unpaired t test. Mean age of study subjects: 32.21 ± 0.99 years female PCOS and 32.80 ± 0.516 years of non-PCOS group of women, unpaired t-test results were not significantly different (p> 0.05). This process could be assessed using mediators such as platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and leukocytes. This study aims to determine the association between PLR and leukocytes in assessing the degree of head injury through the Glasgow coma scale (GCS). This study was an observational analytic study using the medical record of brain-injured patients who visited the Emergency Department of Ulin Hospital from May to November 2017. 59 samples met the criteria in this study. The results of multiple linear regression test in this study found that PLR and leucocyte affected GCS (p = 0.009). The leukocyte value was significantly more associated to GCS (p = 0.008) than PLR value (p = 0.146). The value of leukocyte R was 0.1224, and R PLR was 0.0401. The most common cause of residual wrist disability after distal end radius fractures is the disruption of distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ). Early recognition and management in the acute stage aim at the anatomic reconstruction of the DRUJ in an effort to reduce incidence of chronic pain and loss of wrist motion. The purpose of this study is to identify the prevalence of accompanying DRUJ in distal end radius fracture cases, highlighting its significance in occurance. This was a retrospective study with an analytic descriptive method and data from January 2013-December 2015 taken from medical records of Dr. Hasan Sadikin Hospital. From research, we found 74 cases of distal end radius fracture. The most common injured wrist were dominant hand as 46 cases (62,2%), and non-dominant hand as 28 cases (37,8%). From all data, DRUJ disruption were marked as 37 cases (50%). Extraarticular fracture with concomitant DRUJ disruption were marked in 3 cases (8,1%) and in intraarticular involvement were 34 cases (91,9 %). From this study, we can conclude that half of the distal end radius fracture cases, especially intraarticular, were accompanied by DRUJ  disruption. This should be an issue to be concerned by the physician when evaluating distal end radius fracture cases and to perform proper treatment.","PeriodicalId":53378,"journal":{"name":"Berkala Kedokteran","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45536411","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
