Tobacco companies offer these devices to enhance the smoking experience by magnifying its attractive and minimizing the negatives associated with the consumption of conventional cigarettes.</div><div>The objective of this review is to update the available knowledge on the impact of these devices, both from an individual perspective, in terms of their effects on health, and from a public health perspective due to direct exposure and the effects derived from the second and third hand emissions. Studies show that their aerosols contain a wide variety of toxic chemical components, responsible for adverse effects on organs and systems. Our objectives have consisted of: 1. Investigate whether all mothers also perceive emotional instability, loss of memory and identity, and if this depends on external factors. 2. Analyze if there are differences between the first motherhood and the following ones. 3. Check if the Covid19 pandemic caused greater psychological discomfort.</div></div><div><h3>Method</h3><div>Surveys with assessment of risk factors and psychological distress among women (n=129) from the Health Area of Albacete (Spain), grouped into: Mothers before the pandemic. First-time mothers in a pandemic. Experienced mothers who became mothers again during the pandemic. New mothers after the pandemic. And experienced mothers who became mothers again after the pandemic. Statistical methods: Kruskal-Wallis, Dunn's post hoc test and coefficient of determination R2.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>The 5 groups have shown psychological affectation. Those of first-time mothers are significantly different from those of experienced mothers (H=33.25, p<0.0001). The coefficient of determination R2 between risk factors and general psychological distress was 0.32, and that due to memory loss 0.1.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><div>1st. Matrescence implies obvious psychological alterations. 2nd. First-time mothers suffer a greater impact than experienced mothers, something to consider in the clinic. 3rd. 3rd. The aim of this study is to assess the relationship between obesity and two parameters that measure the risk of atherogenesis: atherogenic dyslipidaemia (AD) and the lipid triad (TL).</div></div><div><h3>Material and methods</h3><div>Descriptive and cross-sectional study in 418,343 Spanish workers in which the possible association between AD and TL with different scales of overweight and obesity such as body mass index (BMI), waist/height index, Clínica Universitaria de Navarra Body Adiposity Estimator (CUN BAE), relative fat mass (RFM), Palafolls and Deuremberg formulas, body surface index (BSI), normalized weight-adjusted index (NWAI) and body roundness index (BRI) was assessed.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>The values of all overweight-obesity scales are higher in people with AD and LBP and the prevalence of AD and LBP increases as the values of these overweight-obesity scales increase.
