Method: 150 nurses were evaluated with the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI - GS) and with the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale of 10 items (CD-RISC 10). The correlations between the variables were calculated and the scores were compared according to the types of shift and labor contract. . Results: There is a statistically significant relationship between resilience and burnout, being negative with the emotional stress and indifference dimensions, while with professional efficacy it was positive, obtaining small and moderate effect sizes. In addition, statistically significant differences and medium effect sizes in emotional stress and indifference were found according to the type of shift and employment contract. {"title":"Análisis Factorial Exploratorio del Inventario de Depresión de Beck (BDI-II) en Universitarios Cajamarquinos","authors":"E. Farfán, A. Sánchez-Villena","doi":"10.24016/2019.V5N3.177","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24016/2019.V5N3.177","url":null,"abstract":"Background: The aim of this study was to analyze psychometric properties of Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) in college students from Cajamarca through exploratory factor analysis (EFA). Methods: The sample was conformed by326 students (73.3% female and 26.7% males) whose average age was 19.7 years old (SD=2.28). The beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II) was applied. Results: The initial results showed a single factor explaining 48.16% variance with a reliability of α = .945; however, due to international, national and theoretical background, a second exploratory factor analysis was forced extracting two factors that explained 54.48% variance and a reliabity of = .843 for the first factor and α = .935 for the second on. Validity in relation with other variables shows a correlation between the BDI-II and the Alarcon Happiness Scale (r = - 585, p <.001), Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale (r = .392, p <. 001) and the Reynolds Depression Scale (r = .708, p <.001). Rodríguez","doi":"10.24016/2019.v5n3.198","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24016/2019.v5n3.198","url":null,"abstract":"Introduction: The logical errors of visions adopted by dualistic positions are described and indicated, specifically in the context of cases that an individual reports suffering symptoms of a disease without a medically and verifiable pathological. According to this logic, the mental can suffer disease and affect the behavior. Method: A case of an adult man reporting different illnesses is exposed on this paper. The medical studies carried out do not confirm the presence of any pathology. This case is studied from a naturalistic and field perspective by applying the methodology of Contingential Analysis derived from inter-behavioral psychology. The factors, circumstances and value criteria related to the presentation of the \"illness behavior\" of the psychological service user are identified. An intervention was designed and implemented to modify these aspects. Results: The intervention allowed the user to develop competencies to fulfill what was socially expected from him and to stop reporting the condition of diseases not medically demonstrable. El objetivo del estudio es analizar la asociacion entre la violencia de genero en el entorno y la perpetracion y victimizacion de violencia en el noviazgo. Metodo: La muestra esta compuesta por 443 estudiantes de diferentes universidades de Colombia, con una edad media de 20.64 anos (SD = 3.91). Los niveles de agresion se midieron mediante la version modificada de la Conflicts Tactics Scale (M-CTS). Resultados: La perpetracion y la victimizacion de agresiones en el noviazgo son mayores entre las personas en cuyo entorno ha tenido lugar algun caso de violencia de genero. Conclusion: La exposicion a la violencia de genero puede influir en la normalizacion de la violencia y en su aparicion en las relaciones de noviazgo. {"title":"Calidad de vida en estudiantes universitarios con sobrepeso y obesidad: Diferencias por sexo","authors":"J. G. Metodo: Se utilizo el cuestionario de salud SF-36v2, que mide la salud funcional y el bienestar a partir de ocho dimensiones: funcion fisica, rol fisico, dolor corporal, salud general, vitalidad, funcion social, rol emocional y salud mental. El tipo de investigacion es cuantitativa con un diseno prospectivo, transversal y observacional. Las tecnicas estadisticas que se utilizaron para el analisis de la informacion fueron el coeficiente de correlacion de Pearson y la prueba t para muestras independientes. Para la magnitud del efecto se utilizo la d de Cohen. La muestra se selecciono a partir del muestreo no probabilistico por conveniencia; el total de participantes fue de 320. Resultados: Se encontraron diferencias estadisticas significativas en dos de las dimensiones, con un tamano del efecto pequeno, menor a una desviacion estandar. En este pais, siguen vigentes las distintas formas de fragmentacion de la disciplina (e.g., entre enfoques culturales y biologicos) y la hegemonia del psicoanalisis. Este problema ha sido analizado en terminos individuales y socio-institucionales. A nivel individual, se han diferenciado dos tipos de actitudes: dogmatica -propia del individuo que participa en el mantenimiento de la situacion escolastica-, y cientifica -representada por aquellos que buscan superar esta situacion-. Si bien las actitudes dogmaticas reflejan una parte del problema, el hecho de centrarse en ellas podria tener consecuencias indeseables. Metodologia: El objetivo de este trabajo es alertar sobre los riesgos de analizar el escolasticismo en terminos de “individuo dogmatico”. El presente es un estudio teorico. Conclusion: La psicologizacion del escolasticismo y la invisibilizacion de los factores supraindividuales (i.e. socio-institucionales) son algunas de sus posibles consecuencias. La importancia de los factores socio-institucionales como una parte clave del problema del escolasticismo argentino. {"title":"Correlatos y predictores de la homonegatividad en estudiantes de medicina mexicanos","authors":"J. Moral, Adrián Valle","doi":"10.24016/2019.v5n3.187","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24016/2019.v5n3.187","url":null,"abstract":"Antecedentes: La internalizacion de la homofobia cultural como un rechazo hacia aspectos internos e interpersonales relacionados con homosexualidad puede conducir a conflictos intrapsiquicos y discriminacion. Este fenomeno, al manifestarse en profesionales de la salud, puede conducir a la violacion de los derechos de pacientes y colegas. Esta investigacion tiene como objetivo identificar los correlatos y predictores de la homonegatividad en estudiantes de medicina. Se uso un muestreo no probabilistico por conveniencia. Metodo: Se aplico un cuestionario de autorreporte compuesto por preguntas sobre informacion socio-demografica, orientacion sexual y 18 escalas de medida, entre las que se encontraba la escala de Homonegatividad de 16 items (HN-16). Resultados: La muestra quedo integrada por 202 participantes voluntarios que estudiaban en una facultad de medicina privada de Monterrey, Mexico. Un analisis de componentes principales se realizo con las escalas que correlacionaron con la HN-16 y proporciono tres componentes: masculinidad-dureza-externalidad, religiosidad-conservadurismo y homosexualidad-caballerosidad-sinceridad. Estos tres componentes explicaron el 35.4% de la varianza de la HN-16 a traves de regresion lineal multiple. El Inventario de Estilos de Pensamiento (TSI) es uno de los instrumentos mas difundidos a nivel mundial, disenado para evaluar los 13 estilos de pensamiento formulados en la Teoria del Autogobierno Mental -Legislativo, Ejecutivo, Judicial, Monarquico, Jerarquico, Oligarquico, Anarquico, Global, Local, Interno, Externo, Liberal, Conservador. Metodo: Con el proposito de adaptar la escala a poblacion universitaria local se revisaron aspectos linguisticos asi como la escala de respuesta. Tras un estudio piloto, se recogio una muestra de 361 estudiantes universitarios de Buenos Aires para efectuar analisis factoriales exploratorio y confirmatorio por un lado, y de consistencia interna por otro. Resultados: Se obtuvo una solucion de 7 factores -Judicial/Liberal, Ejecutivo/Conservador, Externo, Monarquico, Global, Jerarquico, Legislativo- que logro conservar 45 de los 104 items puestos a prueba. Conclusion: La consistencia interna de los factores extraidos alcanzo valores apropiados. Objectives. The aim of this work is to define and identify which are the types of school violence that university students identify the most. As well as analysing the positive or negative relationship that the different dimensions of Emotional Intelligence have over identifying different types of school violence. Method: This is a cross-sectional study that aims to analyse the prevalence of different variables collected in a specific period of time from future educators. The sample consists of 175 Social Education degree students in third and fourth grade. To this effect, two questionnaires have been used: The School Violence Questionnaire Revised (CUVE-R) and the Trait Meta Mood Scale-24 (TMMS-24). Results: The main result of this work highlights the fact that the most identified type of violence corresponds to teacher violence against students. El primer paso para lograr esto, consistio en clarificar si el desarrollo psicologico es una subdisciplina de la psicologia o es un area en la que convergen distintas disciplinas. Conforme se avanzo hacia estos objetivos, fue imperante describir, de forma introductoria, las estrategias que se han implementado desde la psicologia interconductual para resolver los problemas relacionados con la definicion de desarrollo psicologico y, por lo tanto, con el objeto de estudio de la psicologia. Partiendo de la definicion de este objeto, fue posible distinguir entre el desarrollo humano como un area de conocimiento en la que convergen distintas disciplinas y el desarrollo psicologico como ambito de la psicologia, superando asi las confusiones originadas del tomarlas como equivalentes.
