Social Representations about Safety among Students and Teachers 学生与教师安全的社会表征

Gilemkhanova","doi":"10.17759/psyedu.2021130305","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17759/psyedu.2021130305","url":null,"abstract":"The relevance of the study is due to the role that social ideas play in the regulation of behavior and the formation of a system of relations among subjects of the educational environment in conditions of special attention to the safety of the educational environment of the school, provoked by destructive precedents among young people (school shooting, near-football, bullying, anarchism, neo-Nazism, etc.). J. Abric’s “Central system, peripheral system” concept was the theoretical framework of this study of ZhK. Aprica. The research hypothesis was based on the idea that violations of the psychological safety of the educational environment are caused by the problem of correlating nuclear and peripheral social representations about safety among different participants in educational settings. We use the prototypical analysis of P. Verges to study social representations of safety. The study sample was 137 students of the 7th grade (72 male, 65 female), 416 students of the 8th grade (201 male, 215 female), 490 students of the 9th grade (201 male, 289 female), 154 students of the 10th grade (84 male, 70 female), 117 students of the 11th grade (50 male, 67 female) and 20 teachers (1 male, 19 female). The results of the study demonstrate that 1) according to social representations about safety, students and teachers have diametrically opposed views on the role of the teacher in ensuring a safe educational environment; 2) students, who highly assess the safety of the educational environment, have active external and internal protection social representations about safety; students who rate the safety of the educational environment, have social representations in the context of passive protection; 3) the analysis of three age categories shows a tendency of the social representations about safety from the norm (students in grades 7-8) through external protection (high school students) to the internal individual resources (high school students and teachers). This paper describes the study of gender and age aspects of the attitude towards nature among modern teenagers and youth living in a megapolis. An assumption was made that college students as compared with schoolchildren, as well as girls compared with boys, may have a more positive attitude to nature, and their connection with nature is stronger. The study used «Naturaphil» (S.D. Deryabo, V.A. Yаsvin) method and the questionnaire «People and plants» (S.K. Nartova-Bochaver, E.A. Mukhortova). 144 respondents were surveyed, 102 females and 42 males, including 72 collegestudents (Mage=20.56) and 72 eighth grade school students (Mage=14.0). The age- and gender-related characteristics are described of the attitude to nature, the structure of the attitude to nature and plants in teenagers and students is presented. The leading component in the structure of relations to nature in the entire sample is the perceptual-affective component; the less in intensity were the scales actional, practical, and cognitive. The results obtained indicate that in youth, the strength of connection with nature may appear higher than in adolescence. Certain gender differences were also established: the indicators of the questionnaire «People and plants» are significantly higher in the female group. Method: the results of a pilot study using a survey of teachers (N=46) and parents (N=78) according to the author's questionnaires are considered as a reflection of the problems of implementing the declared values of inclusive culture in the conditions of preschool educational organizations. Results: it was shown that, despite the generally positive assessment of the need to create conditions for the accessibility of the educational environment, support for children's initiative, and acceptance of all children, some respondents note the facts of rejection and exclusion from communication of some children, non-support of children's initiative. The development of parent-child relations will determine the further formation of a person, including the emergence of addictions and other deviations. This article is devoted to the problem of the relationship between parents among teenagers who are addicted to online games. The sample consisted of 50 people, including students of secondary schools, public colleges and technical schools. Among them there are 21 girls and 29 boys aged 14 to 18 years. In the course of the study, test methods: PVP Questionnaire (Problem Video Game Playing Questionnaire) of Dr. Ricardo Tejeiro-Salguero and Dr. Rosa María Bersabé-Moran (designed to measure the disorder commonly referred to as video game addiction); questionnaire PCI (parent-child interaction) of I.M. Markovskaya. In the course of the study, a relationship was established between the assessment of satisfaction with relationships with parents and with the degree of dependence on video games in complete and single-parent families. The results showed that adolescents who are addicted to online games can experience disharmonious relationships with both their mother and father. It was found that the assessment of satisfaction with relations with parents does not depend on the composition of the family. The sample consisted of 72 high school students of a secondary comprehensive school in Moscow aged 15 to 17 years (M=16), including 36 boys and 36 girls, as well as 72 junior students of Moscow universities aged 18 to 20 years old (M=19), of which 36 were boys and 36 were girls. The methodological complex included an Internet Addiction Test (K. Young), the original author's questionnaire of preferred Internet content, Social Avoidance and Distress Scale (SADS, Watson, Friend, 1969), Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale (BFNE, Leary, 1983). It was revealed that the indicators of Internet addiction at the tendency level are higher in adolescents compared to students. Of the three components of social anxiety (social avoidance, social distress and fear of negative social assessment), only the indicator of fear of negative social assessment has a significant positive effect on the growth of indicators of Internet addiction in the combined group of respondents. The preference for content related to communication and self-presentation also has a significant impact on the growth of Internet addiction rates. It also aimed to find out the level of unemployment anxiety and quality of life. The researcher used the descriptive method. The study sample consisted of 395 students for the academic year 2018/2019, selected by cluster random sampling. After checking their psychometric characteristics, the results showed that the level of unemployment anxiety among final year students was high, and their quality of life assessment was low. The results also showed a negative correlative relationship between the degree of unemployment anxiety and the quality of life scores. Also there are differences between males and females on the unemployment anxiety concern scale for males, but there are no differences in the quality of life measure according to the gender variable. It also aimed to find out the significant differences according to the variables of qualification, years of experience and training courses. Two instruments were used in the study: a questionnaire and an observation. Both were used on a sample of 32 female teachers at secondary governmental schools. A one sample t-test and Mann Whitney were used. The results of the study revealed that the degree of using active strategies among female teachers was low; the role of the educational supervisor in encouraging female teachers to use active learning strategies was medium, and the degree of difficulties of using active learning strategies was large. Additionally, the findings indicated that there were no significant differences in using active strategies attributed to the variables of qualification and training courses, whereas there was a significant difference in using active strategies attributed to the variable of experience in favor of teachers who have more than 10 years of experience. The introduced self-quarantine affected all strata of society, and the created deprivation conditions had a negative impact on the psychological state of the personality, which enhances the relevance of the scientific study of this problem. In general, the work is aimed at analyzing approaches to the phenomenon of deprivation, considering its types and effects on the human body; highlighting the consequences of the self-quarantine, which affected the psychological state of people. As a methodology, a theoretical analysis of the literature on the research problem (retrospective, comparative analyzes, methods of generalization, systematization) was used.
