Iqbal","doi":"10.30821/jcims.v6i2.12834","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30821/jcims.v6i2.12834","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> The conduct of children is becoming more negative, and it is difficult for parents to identify the best educational model. The Aceh community possesses a <em>peurateb aneuk</em> text passed down through centuries. The text is assumed to contain character values that benefit the children. Therefore, this study examined the <em>peurateb aneuk</em> text as a comprehensive model of early childhood religious character building. It explains the character education model in the text and shows the conditions of the context. Furthermore, it interpreted language to obtain a model of the formation of early childhood religious character from the text. The result reported the character education model of godliness and aqidah from the <em>peurateb aneuk</em> text. These variables were instilled with the internalization model of tawhid sentences that parents interpret when putting children to sleep by chanting the <em>peurateb aneuk</em> poem. The chant became an intermediate medium for instilling character values in early childhood. Meanwhile, <em>La ilaaha illallah </em>is a tawhid phrase for Muslims with a high religious level used as a model in the cultivation of godliness and aqidah character in children from an early age. The <em>peurateb aneuk</em> activity becomes a madrasah for children to learn tawhid and aqidah.</p><p><strong>Keywords:</strong> Character Values, <em>Peurateb Aneuk </em>Text, Religious Education, Early Childhood</p><p><strong><br /></strong></p><p><strong>Abstrak: </strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Dewasa ini</span> perilaku anak semakin negatif dan orang tua sulit mencari <span lang=\"EN-US\">model</span> pendidikan yang tepat. <span lang=\"EN-US\">M</span>asyarakat Aceh memiliki teks <em>peurateb aneuk</em> yang telah turun-temurun didendangkan saat menidurkan anaknya di ayunan. Teks ini diasumsikan mengandung nilai karakter yang bermanfaat bagi anak. Peneliti mengkaji teks <em>peurateb aneuk</em> sebagai model pembentukan karakter religius anak usia dini secara komprehensif. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan<span lang=\"EN-US\"> model pendidikan karakter dalam teks ini. </span><span lang=\"EN-US\">P</span>eneliti mengungkapkan kondisi konteks dan menafsirkan bahasa untuk memperoleh model pembentukan karakter religius anak usia dini dari teks ini. Penelitian ini menemukan tentang model pendidikan karakter ketauhidan dan akidah dari teks <em>peurateb aneuk</em>. Kedua hal ini ditanamkan dengan model internalisasi kalimat tauhid yang diinterpretasikan orang tua ketika menidurkan anak dengan melantunkan syair peurateb aneuk. Lantunan inimenjadi media perantara penanaman nilai karakter bagi anak usia dini.<em> La ilaaha illallah</em> menjadi kalimat tauhid bagi umat Islam yang memiliki tingkat religius tinggi sehingga ini dijadikan sebagai model dalam penanaman karakter ketauhidan dan akidah pada anak sejak dini. Hasyim Asy'ari in the Âdâb al-'Âlim wa al-Muta'allim book. It was observed from the literature review, the descriptive method, content analysis, and reflective analysis employed that the learning and teaching objectives of K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari are theo-and humanistic-centric oriented. The learning objectives of K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari from one side need to be maintained, recommended, and adopted in Islamic education development because it is still very relevant to the context of contemporary Islamic education. But from the other side, the learning objectives of the ulama (scholar) need to be improved so that it does not ignore happiness in this world and the afterlife (ukhrawi). In addition to learning objectives, teaching objectives of K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari from one side need to be maintained, recommended, and adopted in the context of formulating and making policies on education and teaching objectives in Islamic education institutions because it is still very relevant to the context of contemporary in Indonesia. On the other hand, it also need to be improved so that the teaching objectives can be directed towards the interests of happiness in this world and the afterlife (ukhrawi).Keywords: Teaching and Learning Objectives, K.H. Hasyim Asy’ari dalam kitab Âdâb al-‘Âlim wa al-Muta’allim. Berdasarkan kajian kepustakaan dan penggunaan metode deskriptif, analisis isi, dan analisis reflektif, hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa tujuan belajar dan mengajar versi K.H. Hasyim Asy’ari bercorak teo dan humanistic sentris oriented. Tujuan belajar K.H. Hasyim Asy’ari dari satu sisi perlu dipertahankan, direkomendasikan, dan diadopsi dalam pengembangan pendidikan Islam karena masih sangat relevan dengan konteks pendidikan Islam kekinian. Tapi dari sisi lain tujuan belajar versi ulama tersebut perlu penyempurnaan sehingga tidak mengabaikan kebahagiaan duniawi dan ukhrawi. Selain tujuan belajar, tujuan mengajar menurut K.H. Hasyim Asy’ari dari satu sisi perlu juga dipertahankan dan direkomendasikan, dan diadopsi dalam rangka perumusan dan pengambilan kebijakan tentang tujuan pendidikan dan pengajaran di lembaga pendidikan Islam karena masih sangat relevan dengan konteks kekinian di Indonesia. In reality, though, life can not ignore modernism. Consequently, there must be a connection between the roles of Sufism and modernity. The acceptance of this modernism may be seen in the ideas and principles that Sheikh Salman Da'im teaches his students. This research is qualitative and use a character research approach to analyze the thoughts and influences of a character. Data collected from library materials such as books, newspapers, articles and in-depth interviews by using open questions. The problem formulation of this research is the leadership ideals taught by Sheikh Salman Da'im in the Naqsyabandiyah al-Kholidiyah Jalaliyah Congregation, Sheikh Salman Da'im's leadership, as well as Sheikh Salman Da'im's views and actions. Based on the result of this research, Sheikh Salman Da'im is able to merge the functions of Sufism and modernity through the education he produces and the values he teaches which consist of welas asih, dono weweh, andhap asor, wicaksana, as well as his concept for social construction, and preserving religious, social, political harmony and economic development. Keywords: Sufism, Islamic values, Leadership, Sheikh Salman Da`im, Tarekat Naqsyabandiyah al-Kholidiyah JalaliyahAbstrak: Tarekat dipandang sebagai sesuatu yang tradisional, terkesan menjauhkan diri dari kehidupan modern. Akan tetapi faktanya, kehidupan tidak dapat menghindari modernitas. Oleh karenanya perlu ada keterpaduan antara fungsi sufisme & modernitas. Penerimaan modernitas ini dapat ditemukan dari pemikiran dan nilai-nilai yang diajarkan oleh Syekh Salman Da`im kepada murid-muridnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan studi tokoh, mengenai pemikiran dan pengaruh seorang tokoh. Data yang dikumpulkan dari bahan pustaka seperti buku, surat kabar, artikel serta wawancara mendalam dengan menggunakan pertanyaan terbuka. Rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini ialah nilai-nilai kepemimpinan yang diajarkan Syekh Salman Da`im di Lingkungan Tarekat Naqsyabandiyah al-Kholidiyah Jalaliyah, kepemimpinan SyekhSalman Da`im dan pemikiran serta aktifitas Syekh Salman Da`im. This research focused on sociological interpretations of the data gathered through the processes of observation of social interactions that reflected demographic patterns of daily intercourse, events, and traditions. The results showed that the implementation of sharia laws triggered pros and cons within society in East Aceh. Some people argued that the government did not put maximum effort into the implementation. Many other people, however, experienced positive changes in their life due to the implementation of sharia. There are still many challenges such as weakness of faith and social activities that are now forbidden there plus different understandings of sharia law still exist. Co-operation between the governments, scholars, and the people, in particular opinion leaders will be the key to continue successful implementation.Keywords: East Aceh, The Holy Qur’an and al-Hadîts, People’s Perspectives, Islamic laws Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi pelaksanaan syariat Islam di Kabupaten Aceh Timur menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Penelitian ini berfokus pada interpretasi sosiologis dari data yang dikumpulkan melalui proses pengamatan interaksi sosial yang mencerminkan pola demografis hubungan sehari-hari, peristiwa, dan tradisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan hukum syariah memicu pro dan kontra di kalangan masyarakat di Aceh Timur. Sebagian kalangan menilai pemerintah kurang maksimal dalam pelaksanaannya. Namun, banyak orang lain mengalami perubahan positif dalam hidup mereka karena penerapan syariah. Masih banyak tantangan seperti lemahnya iman dan aktivitas sosial yang sekarang dilarang di sana ditambah pemahaman yang berbeda tentang hukum syariah masih ada. {"title":"RIMBA SINKRETIS: The Intersection of Islamic Spirituality in the Local Beliefs of the Indigenous Peoples of Makekal Hulu in Merangin District, Jambi Province","authors":"Supian Supian, Mohammad Muspawi","doi":"10.30821/jcims.v6i1.11189","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30821/jcims.v6i1.11189","url":null,"abstract":"<strong>Abstract</strong>:<strong> </strong><em>Rimba sinkretis </em>is a set of teachings and beliefs in the Jambi indigenous community, which shows a mixture of elements or understandings with other religions (Islam), which is revealed to be a belief. The ethnographic approach is known to be suitable for elemental and cultural studies. This study reveals three crucial topics: First<em>, </em>there isa meeting point of local religion with Islam which is believed to have been mixed since the syncretic decades through the common teachings and beliefs of one god (monotheism). Second, the meeting point of beliefs that have spiritual similarities to Islam, both in religious expressions and prayers to God, includes <em>Lâ Ilâha Illallâh</em>, <em>Mu<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">h</span>ammad Rasûlullah</em>, <em>Bismillâh</em>, <em>Salamikum</em>, <em>Allâh Akbar</em>, and <em>Yâ Allâh</em>, so that it does not conflict with their teachings as Muslims. Third, the beliefs of the Orang Rimba community in an almighty God named Allah <em>Ta‘ala</em>, the two prophets named Adam and Muhammad, <em>malakat orang meru</em> as the unseen (spirits), <em>bilik</em> (heaven) and <em>nereko</em> (hell) as places of torment for <em>doso</em> (sin) and <em>pahalo</em> (goodness), <em>baheulo</em> (gods) as jinn and demons, <em>balik ke henteu</em> as the afterlife, <em>Halam Robah</em> as the day of judgment and the <em>orang bek kebudi</em> as good and pious people (ulama).<br /> <br /><strong>Keywords: </strong><em>Rimba Sinkretis, </em>intersection of Islamic spirituality, local religion, indigenous people<br /> <br /><strong>Abstrak</strong><strong>:</strong> Rimba sinkretis adalah seperangkat ajaran dan kepercayaan dalam masyarakat adat Jambi yang menunjukkan adanya percampuran unsur atau paham dengan agama lain (Islam) yang diturunkan menjadi suatu kepercayaan. Pendekatan etnografi dikenal cocok untuk studi kepercayaan dan kebudayaan. Kajian ini mengungkap tiga topik krusial: Pertama, adanya titik temu antara agama lokal dengan Islam yang diyakini telah bercampur sejak lama dengan istilah sinkretis melalui kesamaan ajaran dan kepercayaan satu tuhan (monoteisme). Kedua, titik temu keyakinan yang memiliki kesamaan spiritualitas dengan Islam, baik dalam ekspresi keagamaan maupun segi pemanjatan kepada Tuhan, seperti <em>Lâ Ilâha Illallâh</em>, <em>Mu<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">h</span>ammad Rasûlullah</em>, <em>Bismillâh</em>, <em>Salamikum</em>, <em>Allâh Akbar</em>, dan <em>Yâ Allâh</em>, sehingga tidak bertentangan dengan keyakinan ajaran orang rimba ketika sebagai muslim. Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy’s Interpretation of Wasathiyah in Tafsir An-Nuur","authors":"Muhammad Syahrial Razali Ibrahim","doi":"10.30821/jcims.v6i1.9058","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30821/jcims.v6i1.9058","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Abstract</strong>:<strong> </strong>The specific objective of this this article is to explore Muhammad Hasbi As-Shiddieqy's conceptualization of the term <em>wasa</em><em>th</em><em>iyah</em>, which is analitically studied from his work <em>“</em><em>Tafsir An-Nuur</em>.” His conceptualisation is of interest because previously published studies on moderate Islam are not consistent, while Hasbi’s contribution offers some important insights intoresolving this discrepency. In additions, Hasbi’s signification of the termof <em>wasa</em><em>th</em><em>iyah is found elsewhere in </em>in many of his fiqh books, which is used as secondary sources. By using descriptive interpretive analysis, it is found that <em>wasa</em><em>th</em><em>iyah</em>, in Hasbi's view, is an attitude of life that can bring humans true happiness by referring to the Quran. Then, happiness itself is understood as the ability to solve various problems based on the concept of ijtihad. He emphasized that the essence of <em>wasa</em><em>th</em><em>iyah</em> is an attitude of life that can make Islamic society advanced and civilized by promoting moral values, such as justice, tolerance, openness, and respect for diversity.Therefore, I argue that Hasbi’s conceptualisation of the term might bring harmony between the group who are for traditionalism and against modernism, and the other who advocate liberalism and modernism.</p><p><strong>Keywords</strong>: moderate Islam, <em>w</em><em>asa</em><em>th</em><em>iyah</em>, Muhammad Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy<strong>, </strong><em>Tafsir An-Nuur</em></p><p> </p><p><em> </em></p><p><strong>Abstrak</strong>: Tujuan khusus dari artikel ini adalah untuk menggali konseptualisasi Muhammad Hasbi As-Shiddieqy tentang istilah <em>wasathiyah</em>, yang dikaji secara analitis dari karyanya “<em>Tafsir An-Nuur</em>”. Selain itu, pemaknaan Hasbi terhadap istilah <em>wasathiyah</em> ditemukan di tempat lain dalam banyak buku fikihnya, yang digunakan sebagai sumber sekunder. Dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif interpretatif, ditemukan bahwa <em>wasathiyah</em> dalam pandangan Hasbi adalah sikap hidup yang dapat membawa manusia pada kebahagiaan yang hakiki dengan mengacu pada al-Qur'an. Kemudian, kebahagiaan itu sendiri dipahami sebagai kemampuan untuk memecahkan berbagai masalah berdasarkan konsep ijtihad. This study used qualitative descriptive research design with a virtual ethnographic approach. The AZD1222 Vaccine press conference broadcast online via Youtube channel was the research subject. The research object referred to the effectiveness of MUI <em>da</em><em>‘wah</em> communication in terms of its communication elements. Data was collected through observations in virtual communities and documentation. The results encompassed five components of digital da'wah in the press conferences, namely <em>da‘i </em>(communicator), <em>mad‘u</em> (communicant), <em>maddah</em> (massage), <em>wasilah </em>(channel) and <em>athar</em> (feedback). The digital media offer people an opportunity to build opinions. Most of them gave negative sentiments because of their misunderstanding of fiqh reasoning. However, <em>mad‘u</em> pragmatism and low fiqh literacy were the main factors for lesser public acceptance of the vaccine. This study recommends further research to examine the vaccine fatwa construction model and fiqh literacy for public.<br /> <br /><strong>Keywords</strong>: <em>da</em><em>‘</em><em>wah</em> communication, vaccines, halal, Muslim<br /> <br /><strong>Abstrak</strong>: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap komunikasi dakwah Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) terkait status hukum Vaksin Astrazeneca Covid-19 (AZD1222) di media digital. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi virtual. Konferensi pers Vaksin AZD1222 yang disiarkan secara online melalui saluran Youtube menjadi subjek penelitian. Objek penelitian mengacu pada efektivitas komunikasi dakwah MUI ditinjau dari unsur-unsur komunikasinya. Pengumpulan data dengan observasi di komunitas virtual dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konferensi pers memenuhi lima komponen dakwah digital yaitu: dai (komunikator), <em>mad</em><em>‘</em><em>u</em> (komunikan), <em>maddah</em> (pesan), <em>wasilah</em> (saluran) dan <em>athar</em> (umpan balik). Media digital menawarkan kesempatan bagi masyarakat untuk membangun opini. Sebagian besar Netizen memberikan sentimen negatif karena ketidakpahaman terhadapa nalar fikih. Pragmatisme <em>mad</em><em>‘</em><em>u </em>dan rendahnya literasi fikih menjadi faktor utama rendahnya penerimaan masyarakat terhadap vaksin tersebut. The emergence of Islamic applications and social media seems to have created a new form of religious involvement in the public sphere in Indonesia recently. This article examines the ‘Aa Gym’ apps and @aagym as a da’wa media platform launched by a popular preacher, KH. Abdullah Gymnastiar. This study describes how the two platforms serve as media for Islamic da’wah with the jargon of iconic religious figures. Using the case study method, we interviewed 20 users of both platforms and Aa Gym as key informants. The results found that: (1) ‘Aa Gym’ apps had created a new form of religious involvement in the digital media landscape before Aa Gym experienced the destruction of itslife, while @aagym was more in demand by the public after practising polygamy as an effort to revive religious authority which had downfall. (2) these two platforms, as primary needs, consume religion without space and time limits. Munculnya aplikasi Islami dan media sosial rupanya menciptakan bentuk baru keterlibatan agama dalam ruang publik di Indonesia baru-baru ini. Artikel ini mengkaji ‘Aa Gym’ apps dan @aagym sebagai platform media dakwah yang diluncurkan dai populer, KH. Abdullah Gymnastiar. Studi ini memaparkan bagaimana kedua platform tersebut sebagai media dakwah Islam dengan jargon tokoh keagamaan yang ikonik. Menggunakan metode studi kasus, kami mewawancarai 20 orang pengguna kedua platform tersebut, dan Aa Gym sebagai informan kunci. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa: (1) ‘Aa Gym’ apps telah menciptakan bentuk baru pelibatan agama dalam lanskap media digital sebelum Aa Gym mengalami kejatuhan dalam kehidupannya, sedangkan @aagym lebih diminati publik pasca melakukan praktik poligami sebagai upaya bangkitnya otoritas keagamaan yang sempat runtuh. (2) kedua platform ini sebagai kebutuhan primer mengkonsumsi agama tanpa batas ruang dan waktu. Therefore, this study aims to accurately determine the Mahligai and Papan Tinggi tomb complexes’ qibla direction in Barus, Central Tapanuli, using the theodolite. This is descriptive and qualitative research with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The result showed that the qibla direction in the Mahligai tomb complex is deviated by 1°, 11.8<sup>o</sup>, and 29<sup>o</sup> to the north, west-south, and south, respectively. Meanwhile, the qibla direction at the Papan Tinggi tomb complex is deviated 13° to the north and is different from the Mahligai tomb complex.<br /> <br /><strong>Keywords: </strong>qibla direction, Mahligai tomb, Papan Tinggi tomb<strong></strong><br /><strong> </strong><br /><strong>Abstrak</strong>: Beberapa penggali kubur hanya menggunakan prediksi untuk menentukan arah kiblat selama penguburan tanpa instrumen yang sesuai. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui arah kiblat kompleks makam Mahligai dan Papan Tinggi di Barus, Tapanuli Tengah secara akurat dengan menggunakan teodolit. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa arah kiblat di kompleks makam Mahligai menyimpang masing-masing sebesar 1°, 11,8°, dan 29° ke utara, barat-selatan, dan selatan. Methodologically, it is qualitative research by utilising documentary study and in-depth interviews as the data-gathering technique. The finding demonstrates that “consciousness to liberate” is the political paradigm of Muhammadiyah. This paradigm has three interrelated dimensions: transcendental dimension, humanistic dimension, and modernity dimension. The former indicates the prophetic consciousness, the middle demonstrates the liberation theology, and the latter denotes the values Muhammadiyah’s goal.
