This was qualitative study with a case study method. The subjects were two students who are an extrovert and an introvert. Data collection included personality questionnaires, question tests, and interviews. Validity test of the data used time triangulation. Data analysis was conducted based on indicators of conceptual and procedural comprehension, which include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the extroverted subject was able to meet all indicators of conceptual and procedural comprehension. This was reflected from the way the subject solved the questions properly according to the existing procedures. In contrast, the introverted student was also able to meet the procedural comprehension indicators, but did not meet the conceptual comprehension indicator. HOTS are observed from the abilities of students in solving HOTS type of questions. However, students still make mistakes in solving this type of questions, especially the statistics questions. The students’ errors in solving HOTS type of statistical questions need to be investigated, particularly on the types and causes. This study aimed to describe the errors made by students in solving HOTS type of statistical questions. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Selopuro, Blitar City Year Academic 2019/2020. This study used descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects were three students of 8th grade B. The instruments in this study were tests, interviews, and documentations. This was a descriptive qualitative study involving 29 students consisted of of 12 high-skilled students, 5 medium-skilled students, and 12 low-skilled students in 8th grade at SMP PGRI 6 Malang. The data were obtained from the types of errors that student made using the Two Variable Linear Equation System question tests and the results of the interviews based on the Watson's criteria indicators. The question sets used in this study had been verified by mathematics education lecturers and mathematics teachers. The results of this study were: a) high-skilled students were 'less thorough' at work; (2) medium-skilled students were ‘using data incorrectly at the early stages'; while (3) low-skilled students ‘did not give answers' because they did not understand the concepts of the learning materials. Therefore, learning innovations are needed in order to meet learning objectives. The objectives are coaching people who are competitive and have 4C skills (communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, creativity and innovation). One of the learning innovations in mathematics is the application of concrete and digital learning media. To explore and summarize the latest facts related to the concrete and digital mathematics learning media during industry 4.0, the authors of this study conducted a research using Systematic Literature Review method. A total of 30 literatures from various databases were interpreted. A review was drawn on the uses, strengths, and weaknesses of digital and concrete mathematics learning media during industry 4.0. The concrete learning media has advantages which include improving students’ problem solving, creative thinking, and visual thinking skills, but it requires more attention and care. Meanwhile, the advantages of digital learning media include increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of learning mathematics, supporting distance learning, and not requiring special maintenance. The results of this study are expected to be useful for: helping students to improve and reduce errors on the solution of the problem and can be used as a consideration of lecturers in providing appropriate learning steps to address the error in the solution of problems experienced by students. The research instrument used is a test question. The type of research is qualitative. Data analysis in qualitative research conducted since before, during, and after finished in the field. Based on the results of observations, tests, and interviews, shows that many students made misconceptions. Errors in applying formulas in determining quartiles, variance, standard deviation on single data or classified data. This study was an Quasy Experiment with a Randomized Control Group Design Only. The population of all eighth grade students of SMP N 2 Timpeh in 2018/2019 which collected 66 people. Sampling by Simple random sampling and selected class VIII students. A as experimental class and VIII. B as a control class. The results of the study, obtained an average value of students' understanding of the mathematical concepts in the experimental class and combined controls were 83.35 and 78.72. Furthermore, hypothesis testing is done for the students' ability to understand concepts, obtained that t count > t table, which states the understanding ability of students who learn through contextual Teaching and Learning using a higher module about the ability to learn concepts of students who learn through conventional learning. The purpose of this research was to compare the ability to understand mathematical concept of student who taught with the PACE (Project, Activity, Cooperative, Exercise) learning model and conventional learning model. A quass-experimental design combined with experimental method purposed in this research. The population in this research were all students of class XI SMA 15 Kota Tangerang by taking a sample of 2 classes, that is class MIPA 5 as an experimental class and class MIPA 2 as an control class. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used a test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts. Mann Whitney test is used to test the hypothesis. The purpose of this development research is to produce teaching materials in the form of Graf Theory textbooks which are expected to help improve student activity. The research method used follows the design of the ADDIE model. The results of the study are that the draft Theory Graf textbook prepared can be used as a textbook. This can be done because all validators state that the quality of the textbooks that are made includes good and very good categories. Furthermore, by paying attention to the comments, input / suggestions from the validators, the teaching book is revised again so that it becomes more perfect and finally can be legalized into a textbook ready for use by Mathematics Education lecturers and students as one of the learning resources for graph theory courses.
