The purpose of this study was to expand the formative process in the selection of Triticum aestivum L. winter type of development with the further obtaining of genotypes with increased adaptability, plant productivity and grain quality through the use of winter common wheat with purple grain, whole grain wheat and Ethiopian wheat in hybridization. In the study, the methods of conducting the examination of plant varieties are used for carrying out phenological observations, morphological studies, evaluation of breeding material according to economic and valuable characteristics. In the creation of new forms, methods of hybridization and individual selection were used, and the TVEL method was used for pollination. The protein and gluten content were determined by infrared spectrometry. Parental components were studied and selected to expand the forming process to obtain productive grains from the main ear, thousand kernel weight, high grain quality, resistant to lodging, shedding of grain, drought-resistant and resistant to fungal pathogens, hybrid forms, specifically as a result of involvement of the source material Triticum aestivum L. and Triticum sphaerococcum Perc. in the hybridization. According to the results of the hybridization of winter common wheat and Ethiopian wheat, it was possible to obtain and breed in F4 forms with a long ear (>10-11 cm), an increased amount of grain from the main ear (>55 pcs.) and a different colour of grain from dark brown to purple, as an indicator of increased anthocyanin content and high antioxidant capacity. The practical value of this study lies in the fact that the research results expand information on the use of winter common wheat in the selection of productivity and quality of other types of wheat: Triticum sphaerococcum, T. aethiop. var. decoloratum, and the developed proposals will allow considering the use of parental components of wheat in research, help improve methods of hybridization and selection of new forms with desirable traits in the system of interspecies crossings","PeriodicalId":52817,"journal":{"name":"Naukovi gorizonti","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47704312","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study was to substantiate the specific features of the formation of productivity of modern soybean varieties depending on the elements of cultivation technology in irrigation conditions. Research methods: field, morphometric, laboratory, statistical (correlation and regression analysis). Field studies were conducted during 2019-2021 in the agroecological zone of the Southern Steppe within the Kakhovka Irrigation System. Features of the growth and development of soybean varieties of different maturity groups were established: fast crops – Monarkh, Arnika, early crops – Pysanka, Sofia, mid-early – Sviatohor, Evridika. The yield of soybean varieties varied depending on the timing of sowing, plant density, and varietal characteristics. The maximum productivity of crops of early varieties Arnika and Monarkh at 2.81-3.39 t/ha was formed during the sowing period of May 1 and the optimal sowing density of 700 thous. plants/ha. In the group of early crops, Sofiia and Pysanka varieties showed the maximum yield of 3.17-3.22 t/ha during the sowing period of May 1 and plant density of 700 thous. plants/ha. Varieties of the mid-early crops Sviatohor, Evridika gave the maximum yield of 3.76-4.28 t/ha for sowing on May 1 and a density of 500 thous. plants/ha. To obtain the maximum yield of soybeans under irrigation conditions, there is an optimal sowing period and an optimal density of coenosis for each maturity group of varieties: fast crops showed the maximum yield when sowing on May 1 and with a density of 700 thous. plants/ha, early and mid-early crops – when sowing on May 1 and with a plant density of 500 thous. plants/ha. The purpose of the study is to determine the most effective motivation and planning system for them, considering the national characteristics and mentality of agricultural workers, mainly nomadic shepherds, and to form recommendations on the most acceptable management style for this group. The Holfstede typology of cultural dimensions was used as a key method to identify the cultural and behavioural characteristics of the target audience. During the survey conducted among 1514 staff representatives and processing of its results, the average indicators for six cultural dimensions were calculated, and estimates of these indicators were given. According to the obtained data on the typology of cultural dimensions, it was determined that values in the examined social group are largely determined by traditions and customs, which means that a managerial model is in demand that will not impose existing Western management principles but uses its own tools based on relatively democratic principles. Based on the obtained characteristics, recommendations were formed on such key management tools as the principles of subordination, the system of setting tasks and monitoring their implementation, and on the effective motivation of personnel. Among the consequences of this aggression are a decrease in production levels, an increase in costs for security and infrastructure restoration, an increased risk of losing personnel and crops, as well as complications in the export of products. The purpose of this study is to assess the state of the agricultural sector under the conditions of war and to investigate the peculiarities of the activities and adaptation to war of individual agricultural producers, using farmers as an example. To achieve this goal, the dialectical method of cognition of economic processes, the basic principles of modern economic theory, and scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists studying the impact of war on the development of the agricultural sector of the economy were used. A sociological research method, in particular interviews, was used to achieve the research goal. The article examines the role of the agricultural sector in the Ukrainian economy and global food security, analyzes the impact of the war on the agricultural sector, and characterizes the current state of agricultural activity under the conditions of war using farmers as an example. According to the obtained data, the impact of war on the agricultural sector is significant and has various economic, social, and environmental consequences. The study shows that some commodity producers, using farmers as an example, have adapted to the war and have been able to maintain their market positions, while others have suffered significant losses and could not function properly. This research can be an important source of information for the development of state policy on support for agricultural commodity producers, specifically farmers, under the conditions of war and post-war recovery. Currently, the agricultural sector is the basis of the country’s international specialisation. Thus, finding opportunities to improve this sector efficiency is still relevant. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to find ways to increase efficiency during activities in one of the agriculture branches, namely livestock breeding, within the framework of raising pigs. The main methods during work were analysis, deduction, modelling, forecasting, etc. During the study, a detailed review of the considering possibilities of the efficiency improvement of raising pigs was conducted. They were conventionally divided into two categories: connected with management processes and directly caring for animals. Thus, the author concludes that by using some methods of raising animals, a better quality of meat can be achieved, and therefore receive higher profits from its sale. During the study, possibilities connected with diet regulation, animals living conditions (temperature, enclosures, etc.), genetics and some others were directly considered. As for management tips, they are also analysed and provided by the authors: in particular, it was determined that cost reduction plays a huge role in such enterprises. The purpose of this study was to identify morphological and immunohistochemical changes in the caecal tonsils of chickens aged 8, 20, 40, 90, 110 days for vaccine prevention of infectious bronchitis. During the study, the following research methods were used: cytological, histological, immunohistochemical, morphometric, light-optical, statistical. Histological preparations of caecal tonsils of poultry aged 8, 20, 40, 90, 110 days of vaccinated and unvaccinated groups were analysed and studied. Up to 20 days of age, no lymphoid nodules were detected in the caecal tonsils of chickens, both vaccinated and non-vaccinated groups. Histological and morphometric studies were conducted, which showed that vaccination of poultry accelerates the development of lymphoid formations in the early stages of the postnatal period of ontogenesis, especially in chickens aged 20 days, which is manifested by an increase in the number and size of lymphoid nodules of caecal tonsils relative to the control group. Immunohistochemical studies have established that the placement and accumulation of T-lymphocytes with markers CD4+ , CD8+ , as well as B-lymphocytes (CD20+ ) and CD45RA+ cells in caecal tonsils, namely in lymphoid nodules and diffuse accumulation of lymphoid cells, depend on the age of chickens and multiplicity of vaccinations. It was proved that in chickens aged 8 days, the number of T-lymphocyte subpopulations with surface markers CD4+ , CD8+ prevailed over CD45RA+ and CD20+ . With the increase in the number of immunizations (after three-fold vaccination against infectious bronchitis of chickens), immunocytometric studies indicated that in vaccinated chickens aged 40 and 90 days, there was a clear increase in the number of mature B-lymphocytes by 1.58 and 1.37 times, respectively. Considering the fact that the number of CD8+ lymphocytes in vaccinated chickens aged 40 days was 1.49 times greater than the number of CD4+ cells, this led to a sharp decrease in the immunoregulatory index of the caecal tonsils, which must be factored in when carrying out preventive vaccinations","PeriodicalId":52817,"journal":{"name":"Naukovi gorizonti","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49291121","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First of all, this is due to the possibility of increasing the gross production of potatoes, improving its economic performance, as well as the tasks of protecting the environment from pesticide pollution, which contributes to a substantial improvement in the environment and obtaining environmentally safe products. The purpose of this study was to identify varieties with a prominent level of yield and resistance against potato blight in the western region of Ukraine. The study was conducted using field (assessment of disease development), laboratory, analytical, and mathematical and statistical methods. The paper provides a theoretical substantiation and a new solution to the important scientific task of establishing the specific features of the use of Ukrainian and foreign varieties, intervarietal and multispecies hybrids by parental forms in potato breeding. The study summarized the features of the manifestation of productivity components, quality traits, resistance to potato blight, correlations between economic and valuable traits, selection of new parent forms for intervarietal and interspecies hybridization, nature of high productivity, quality and potato blight resistance of breeding material, and created genetically valuable varieties with great value in potato selection and for agricultural production of Ukraine. Analysis of the structure, fertility of agricultural land, and its monetary valuation can provide insight into its productivity and potential for agricultural development. The purpose of the study is to analyse the structure and fertility indicators of agricultural land in the west of Ukraine, demonstrate their main characteristics, and compare land prices in the western regions of Ukraine. In the study, the materials of the land directory of Ukraine and regional reports on the state of the environment of the west of Ukraine were used, involving analysis and comparison of the state of land resources by the content of humus, mobile compounds of phosphorus and potassium, easily hydrolysed nitrogen, their material and monetary assessment. After analysing the structure of the land fund of the west of Ukraine (13125.5 thousand hectares), it was identified that agricultural land accounts for more than half of the total area (56.1%), and forests and other wooded zones – about a third of the total area (32.8%). Built-up land, open wetlands, open land without vegetation cover or with little vegetation cover, and other land account for less than 10%. Among agricultural land, the largest share is arable land, a little less is hayfields and pastures, and the least is perennial plantations and fallows. The total value of agricultural land in the western administrative regions is markedly different. The highest land value is in Khmelnytskyi and Ternopil regions (1.71 and 1.09 billion USD), and the smallest – in Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia (489.90 and 317.21 million USD). 1420223 shares were leased on the territory of western Ukraine. The largest number of them was leased in Khmelnitsky and Ternopil regions (25.2 and 20.7%), and the smallest – in Zakarpattia (1.0%). Thus, the total area of land cultivated by farmers is 330.8 thousand hectares, the largest in the Ternopil and Khmelnytskyi regions (23.3 and 22.7%). The findings of the study will contribute to the adoption of managerial decisions on conducting efficient agriculture and the preservation of soil fertility of agricultural lands in the region under study. Monetary assessment of these territories is useful for the country’s population in the context of changes in the law on the land market in Ukraine, and in the implementation of an environmentally balanced agricultural policy","PeriodicalId":52817,"journal":{"name":"Naukovi gorizonti","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41822806","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this context, the system of credit and investment support occupies the main place in the expanded reproduction of this priority industry for the economy of Ukraine. The research aims to review the main trends in credit and investment provision of the agrarian sector of the national economy and to determine further investigations in this direction. It has been established that for the formation of an effective system of credit and investment support for the agricultural sector, it is necessary to consider such positions as the influence of bank lending and climate shocks on the investment decisions of farmers, global and regional trends in the direction of the gross accumulation of fixed capital and fixed assets in agriculture, mechanisms for fixing conditions for the transfer of investment resources for use by agro-industrial companies, financial inequality between the urbanized and rural areas. It has been proven that bank lending is the key tool in all forms of credit and investment support for the agricultural sector. This is especially true during the period of martial law in Ukraine. Using the method of economic and mathematical modelling, it can be argued that bank lending is a strategic financial resource in the formation of credit and investment support for the agricultural sector. A system of credit and investment support is proposed, which is primarily based on the improvement of the system of state regulation of the agrarian sector. It has been proven that to increase the level of effectiveness of the system of credit and investment provision of the agricultural sector, attention should be paid to such an instrument as project financing and a review of the very structural composition of the state regulation of agricultural production, considering the practice of European Union. Such approaches can be used by state authorities when developing a strategy for the development of the agrarian sector in the conditions of martial law and the post-war period, as well as making infrastructural changes in the process of interaction between the banking and agrarian sectors of the national economy","PeriodicalId":52817,"journal":{"name":"Naukovi gorizonti","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47478910","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Purpose: to determine the synergy of a mixture of phosphine and carbon dioxide in their various concentrations and exposures during the fumigation of leguminous products against pests at high temperatures. Methods: analytical review on the subject of research, the current regulatory framework in the field of disinfection; analysis of biological features of insect pests of leguminous products; experimental – a variation of different concentrations of phosphine, duration of exposure and temperature to establish a synergy of fumigant with carbon dioxide in laboratory conditions with appropriate equipment; mathematical and statistical – using computer mathematical functions built into the Microsoft Excel program 2003. When fumigating gas mixtures against pests at the imago stage, the optimal concentration of carbon dioxide is in the range of 110-130 g/m3 (or 5.5-6.5% of the total air volume), regardless of the temperature indicator. While the optimal concentration of phosphine at low temperatures (21-22°C) is in the range of 0.57-0.82 g/m3 , at high temperatures – (31-32°C) – in the range of 0.21-0.36 g/m3 . With an increase in the duration of fumigation, not only the effectiveness of phosphine (standart) against the imago pests but also gas mixtures. In addition, the dependence of gas synergy on the duration of fumigation was established. Thus, at a temperature of 30°C, an increase in gas synergy in the mixture was observed by 4.4±0.66, 7.7±1.61, and 10.3±1.08% compared to the standard for exposure of 2, 4 and 6 hours, respectively. Temperature was the most determining factor influencing the value of the gas synergy index in the mixture of phosphine and carbon dioxide. Thus, an increase in temperature from 30°C to 32°C contributed to an increase in the gas synergy index by 9%, that is, by 2.17 times.
