The presence of the father during birth also positively influences father-child attachment, reduces, apprehension, and stress, increases maternal satisfaction, and increases love and respect for the partners. This study explored the experiences of fathers who were present in the delivery room during the delivery process.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>This qualitative content analysis study was conducted at a maternity hospital in Kingston, Jamaica from June to July 2022. A total of ten (10) fathers of babies delivered within six weeks were purposefully selected to be interviewed via telephone over four weeks. Data were analysed using a thematic approach.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Four sub-themes and one theme were extracted from data analysis. Fathers perceived satisfaction and empowerment in the shadow of positive and negative feelings as the theme. Sub-themes emerged from the data including \"clinician's acceptance and support\", \"close bonding and attachment with mother and baby\", \"preparedness of fathers to give support\", and \"inspiring and amazing feeling by fatherhood experiences\".</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Fathers experienced the feeling of empowerment and wished to take up their role during the delivery of their newborns. Their experiences were influenced by the midwives and the resources available to support their accommodation. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the lived experiences and concerns of parents of adolescents with mental disorders in Oman.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>Interpretative phenomenological analysis was employed in this study. In-depth interviews were done with twenty caregivers from June 2021 to the end of December 2022. Data collection continued until saturation was reached, ensuring a thorough understanding of the phenomena under investigation, and thematic analysis was applied to identify and examine the recurring patterns within the data.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Three primary themes emerged from the data analysis including Emotional Burden and Guilt, Treatment Concerns, and Fear of the Future. Parents' experiences during their adolescents' diagnosis revealed a profound emotional struggle, encompassing anxiety, frustration, and occasional confusion as they grappled with understanding their children's illness and navigating unpredictable behaviors. The exploration of seeking treatment highlighted the complexity of their experiences. However, a persistent sense of uncertainty regarding their children's future was a consistent thread irrespective of the chosen treatment path.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>This study aimed to investigate the complex challenges faced by caregivers of adolescents suffering from mental disorders, underscoring the vital need for tailored interventions and robust support systems to address these intricate issues. To effectively engage in self-care, it is imperative for patients to receive adequate education and training on the self-care process. This study was conducted to determine the effect of family-oriented education (FOE) on the self-care behaviors of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>In this randomized clinical trial study, 70 patients hospitalized in two hospitals in Shiraz during November 2021-April 2022 participated after the first AMI. Patients were randomly assigned into control (N=35) and intervention groups (N=35) based on random allocation. In the intervention group, an educational program was conducted for patients and active family members during three sessions of 45 to 60 minutes. The control group received routine care. Demographic information form and Self-Care Agency scale was completed by the patients before the educational intervention, one month, and two months after the educational intervention. Data analysis was done through SPSS 22 using Chi-square test, independent t-test, Fisher's exact, and Friedman test. P˂0.05 was considered as the statistical significance level.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>There was no significant difference in self-care behaviors between the two groups before the intervention (P=0.71). The mean score of self-care behaviors in patients one month (P<0.001) and two months (P<0.001) after FOE in the intervention group showed a statistically significant difference with the control group. We aimed to assess utilization of mental health care and its barriers in breast cancer survivors.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>This cross-sectional study was conducted on 311 patients with breast cancer, in Iran, November 2021 to March 2022. Perceived need and utilization of mental health care and barriers to service utilization were measured based on self-report. Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale-21 and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support were used to assess depression, anxiety, and stress as well as social support, respectively. A linear and logistic regression model was used to analyze the data using SPSS version 22. A P-value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>70.1% of the participants perceived need for mental health care, 28.0% of them had used mental health services, and 72% were classified as having unmet needs. The most common perceived barrier to service use was patients' self-adequacy. The prevalence of extremely severe levels of depression, anxiety, and stress was 14.8%, 23.5%, and 10.6%. Also, 48.6%, 78.5%, and 75.6% of patients received a high level of social support from friends, family, and significant others.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Findings highlight a substantial unmet need for mental health care and low utilization of mental health services among breast cancer survivors. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of dry cupping and counselling with the mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) approach on fertility QoL and conception success in infertile women due to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>This was a two-arm pilot randomized clinical trial from first January 2021 to the end of November 2022. In this regard, 19 women with infertility who were referred to the health centers affiliated with Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and met the inclusion criteria were enrolled in the study. Participants were randomly divided into two groups (10 in the virtual MBCT group and 9 in the cupping group). All participants completed the fertility quality of life (FertiQol) tool before the intervention and three months after the end of the intervention. In addition, after the end of the intervention, a human chorionic gonadotropin test was performed monthly for three months, too. We used ANOVA/ANCOVA and its related effect sizes, including mean difference (MD) and standard mean difference (SMD: Hedges's g), and chi-square tests to compare the study group outcomes in Stata 14.2. P-values equal to or less than 0.10 were considered significant.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The intervention resulted in significant differences in the mean overall scores of FertiQol between the counseling and cupping groups (61.76±14.28 and 50.65±12.53, respectively) [P=0.091, MD=11.11 (90% CI: 0.33 to 21.89), SMD=1.07 (90% CI: 0.279 to 1.84)]. Since they have no previous experience of having a baby, first-time mothers should acquire certain skills to be competent enough in caring for their baby. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of virtual education in parenting skills on the parenting competence of first-time mothers with a 0-2-year-old baby.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>This quasi-experimental study was conducted through convenience sampling; 72 first-time mothers were selected from 12 healthcare centers, 62 of whom met the criteria for entering the study, and divided into an experimental (n=31) and a control (n=31) group. The mothers in the experimental group received virtual education in parenting skills in six sessions, each lasting 10 minutes for two weeks. The data were collected using a demographics questionnaire and Gibaud-Wallston's parenting sense of competence scale. Sense of competence was assessed in three stages: before, immediately after, and one month after the completion of the intervention. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS v. 22 at a significance level of less than 0.05.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Results showed a statistically significant increase in the experimental group's parenting competence mean score immediately and one month after the intervention (P<0.001). There was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the study groups as measured immediately after (P=0.043) and one month after the intervention (P<0.001).</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Virtual education of parenting skills could have a positive impact on the mothers' parenting competence. Smartphones, which facilitate the use of prompt features in the early diagnosis of challenges and quick delivery of respectful maternity care, are one of the most recent advances in health technology. The key objective of this project is to evaluate the usability and quality of the \"E-Midwife\" mobile application for nurse-midwives, which focuses on obstetric complications.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>This study is a component of a randomized controlled trial on nurse-midwives. This project followed a four-step approach: content development phase, app design phase, app development phase, and usability testing phase. The app was developed using extensive flowcharts, a definition of the navigational framework, a structured database, and user-friendly software. 140 out of the 196 nurse-midwives were allocated to the intervention (n=70) and control group (n=70), using random allocation. The intervention group used the application for 8 weeks. Usability and quality of the application were assessed using the system usability scale and the mobile application rating scale, respectively. SPSS statistical software, version 17, was used to analyze the dat.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The overall score of the usability testing of E-Midwife was 82.75±0.68. The total mean score of quality was 3.77±0.86. Therefore, it was shown to have good usability and quality.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>The E-midwife mobile application has a high usability and quality which makes its usage effective and efficient.
