This was a cross-sectional diagnostic accuracy study conducted using sputum samples from 113 adults with clinical suspicion of PTB. Samples were analysed by acid-fast bacilli (AFB) smear microscopy, Löwenstein-Jensen culture as the reference standard, and SYBR-qPCR.
