Alvim, Pedro Fernando Wengrzyn dos Passos","doi":"10.24857/rgsa.v18n9-115","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24857/rgsa.v18n9-115","url":null,"abstract":"Objective: This study compares the environmental impacts generated by the manufacture of cast iron and aluminum engine blocks.\u0000 \u0000Theoretical Framework: The concepts used are energy expenditure and CO2 emissions throughout the useful life of the blocks, in addition to the relationships between the block's assembly configuration and its efficiency.\u0000 \u0000Method: The Ansys Granta EduPack software was used to extract and compare the values sought, through in-house data collection, in six distinct stages, ranging from the extraction of the raw material to the process of discarding the parts.\u0000 \u0000Results and Discussion: The results found were presented, discussed and compared with works previously carried out by other authors. In this research, the case study method was carried out using a qualitative approach which discussed improving the image of the Police. This research focuses on the Instagram account of the Metro Jaya Police Chief as the highest ranking officer in the Metro Jaya Police, DKI Jakarta and this research focuses on the Metro Jaya Police Chief's digital communication strategy process. So the approach in this research uses a more qualitative and comprehensive case study to describe the police's self-image for the sake of a humanist communication strategy. Primary data sources are objects observed directly in the field and data obtained through interviewed informants. In this research, informants came from police institutions, community leaders, local government and academics. This data is also accompanied by photo, image and map data to complement the primary data. Secondary data sources are documents or written sources in general. Secondary data is obtained from research results, journals, the internet and matters related to data needs. This secondary data is useful for researchers to understand more deeply the problem that is the object of research. Researchers try to attend and interact with informants as intensively as possible on various occasions, such as routine monthly activities involving key informants, jointly carrying out activities at the research location, and participating in other activities. This was done because in accordance with the research method used, the data collection process was carried out in a natural setting (natural conditions). Although some cities have successful programs, demonstrating an effective understanding of the shared responsibility recommended by the PNRS, only solid waste collection was universally identified among the nine municipalities investigated. \u0000 \u0000Implications of the research: just as all field research carried out in different locations, with participants from different realities, tends to become a vast and multifaceted object of study, this study also is, as it addresses a Federal Law that, despite not being fully fulfilled, it reveals both controversies and failures as well as concrete examples of success. \u0000 \u0000Originality/value: the knowledge acquired in this research offers important information about the National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS), enacted in December 2010 and represents a milestone in environmental management in Brazil, aiming to improve the quality of urban life. The study uses Markowitz's mean-variance optimization and the triple bottom line approach to understand the benefits of ESG integration in investment strategies.\u0000 \u0000Method: The research involves a comparative analysis of various cryptocurrency portfolio strategies, including Buy-and-Hold, Simple Moving Average (SMA), MinVar, and MaxSharpe. Data was collected daily from October 1, 2016, to September 31, 2021. The study uses mean-variance analysis to assess risk-return profiles, incorporating ESG factors into the evaluation framework.\u0000 \u0000Results and Discussion: The results show that the Buy-and-Hold strategy consistently yielded the highest returns across most portfolios. However, during volatile periods, strategies like MinVar and MaxSharpe provided better risk-adjusted returns. The discussion contextualizes these results within the theoretical framework, highlighting how ESG integration enhances risk management and aligns investments with sustainable development goals (SDGs).\u0000 \u0000Research Implications: This research suggests that integrating ESG criteria into cryptocurrency portfolios can improve risk management and align investments with sustainability goals. For characterization, the most used methods were X-ray Diffraction, Granulometric Analysis and Scanning Electron Microscopy. The IOT consisted mainly of quartz and hematite. Materials produced included concrete, mortar, blocks and bricks, plastic and ceramic composites, which were evaluated by water absorption and compressive strength tests. \u0000 \u0000Research Implications: Provides insights into the application of the paper's results in the management of mining tailings and the production of sustainable materials using IOT, in addition to guiding new research. \u0000 \u0000Originality/Value: The review demonstrates the feasibility of using IOT from dam collapse in the production of new construction materials and innovates by presenting graphic results, facilitating reading and understanding. As for the data found, 266 documents were obtained and analyzed. These datasets are converted to CSV format, BibTeX, and RIS format and imported into bibliophilia for bibliometrics and analysis.\u0000 \u0000Findings: The results showed that 2015 was the year with the highest number of publications on the topic of Organizational Culture in Hospital Management. The United States is the country that influences scientific publications the most. Bradley, E.H., along with other authors, is the most prolific author with four documents in the field of Organizational Culture and Hospital Management. The focus of this research is on how organizational culture plays a role in creating a safe, supportive, and efficient work environment that impacts patients. Veloso, Luciano Teixeira Rocha, Rafael Hohenfeld Macedo dos Santos","doi":"10.24857/rgsa.v18n9-106","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24857/rgsa.v18n9-106","url":null,"abstract":"Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate resilience, regeneration and sustainability in Brazil, with the aim of discussing the process of occupation of urban areas; possible adverse effects on the environment and society; the impact of consumption and the construction of more sustainable cities and the commitment to future generations. \u0000 \u0000Theoretical Framework: The concepts of resilience, sustainable development and urban regeneration stand out as the basis of the research, providing an interesting foundation for understanding the context of the investigation. \u0000 \u0000Method: Exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach anchored in a narrative review that allowed us to converge on an interpretative understanding of urban resilience in Brazil towards sustainable development. \u0000 \u0000Results and Discussion: It is not possible to slow down economic advances, however, as the 2030 Agenda prioritizes, bridges must be built for conscious consumption and production. Gentrification and favelaization are examples that can point to the consequence of the rural exodus and the development of cities that increasingly consume non-renewable natural resources. However, Rural Credit Banks in facing globalization, Rural Credit Banks requires funding and capital, especially to issue shares through the stock exchange.
