Through a review of literature relevant to the topic, a reflection is proposed that, among other aspects, classifies drug consumption into two modes, functional and dysfunctional, where in the former, it is used as a \"tool\" for work, without causing impairments to its performance, and in the latter, there is a change in consumption pattern, severely affecting professional performance. Method: Analytical cross-sectional study, conducted by searching electronic medical records of pregnant women treated in a Family Health Strategy in a city in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Results: There was no association between systemic arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus and obesity with hemorrhage, premature birth and late birth. In the case of premature birth, pregnant women with SAH had an approximately 1.9 times higher risk compared to those who did not have this comorbidity. With regard to pregnant women who are obese, the risk of premature birth was approximately 2.5 times higher compared to women who are not obese. This is an epidemiological, quantitative and retrospective study, with data collection from DATASUS, by consulting the SIH/SUS of Brazil. In 2020 a total of 10,531,196 and in 2021 a total of 11,479,416 hospitalizations were recorded in Brazil, 13.6% and 9% lower than in 2019. There was a reduction in hospitalizations for pregnancy, childbirth, and puerperium (15.9%), digestive system diseases (25.2%), neoplasms (14.2%), external causes (19.1%), circulatory system diseases (20.9%), and for respiratory system diseases (36.1%). However, they increased for infectious and parasitic diseases, about 79.2%. Although hospitalizations reduced in 2020 (13.6%) and 2021 (5.8%), the average value increased by 19.8% and 50.1% and total costs by 19.8% and 50.1%, respectively. It is equivalent to 30% of all cancers in Brazil and 200 thousand new cases are expected per year between 2023 and 2025. In Pará, 2490 cases are expected in 2023. We sought to analyze the relationship between the incidence of malignant skin neoplasms and the geospatial area of Pará from the perspective of different variables. This is an ecological, exploratory, quantitative study, with data collected by DATASUS, PAINEL ONCOLOGY and selected cases of melanoma and other malignant skin neoplasms from 2019 to 2023 in the State of Pará for the 13 Health Regions, related criteria such as age, age group, gender, detailed diagnosis, staging and therapeutic modality. A total of 643 cases were recorded, 20.8% were malignant melanomas and 70.1% were other malignant skin neoplasms, of which 59.7% were men, 40.3% were women, with a predominance in the age group of 80 years or over with 15 .7%, with 45% of cases treated with Radiotherapy. Francis Bacon proposed a revolutionary approach to scientific and philosophical investigation, emphasizing empirical observation and controlled experimentation. His main work, Novum Organum, published in 1620, introduced the inductive method as a means of discovering truths about nature, criticizing the Aristotelian deductive approach. Furthermore, Bacon emphasized the importance of experimentation as a way to avoid biases and distortions in human thought, introducing the theory of idols to explain the pitfalls of thinking. His contributions to modern science include the promotion of the scientific method and the valuing of experimentation as pathways to seeking truth. Regarding the methodology, it is a qualitative and descriptive research, with a cross-sectional design and primary data collection. Information was gathered between June 2023 and September 2023 from a sample of 94 workers, with the majority being female (61.0%), aged between 43 and 57 years (41.0%), holding a specialization/MBA degree (38.0%), earning between R$ 5,500 and R$ 11,000 (40.0%), and the majority working in agencies located in Pernambuco (58.0%). With the assistance of openEVOC and Excel software, analyses were conducted using the Word Association technique, and subsequently, the data were categorized to develop the Word Association Diagram. The main results indicated that QWL was represented by the following core elements: 1) balanced/reduced working hours; 2) living close to work; 3) good building infrastructure; 4) comfortable equipment and furniture; 5) possibility of telecommuting and flexibility; 6) professional recognition and stability. This is a retrospective, descriptive, quantitative, document-based study, with a search in the databases of the SINAM and SIH/SUS. In the period evaluated, 83,934 cases of congenital syphilis were reported in Brazil, with a decrease of 59%. Hospitalizations increased by 14.9%, with a predominance in the Southeast region, however, the North and Northeast regions recorded more hospitalizations than reported cases. Evaluating the pre-pandemic and pandemic period, there is a decrease in cases in all regions to the detriment of an increase in hospitalizations in the North, Northeast and Southeast. The disease does not have a predominance in terms of sex, but it prevails in newborns aged 0 to 6 days (94.76%) and in mixed-race (52.91%). 89.13% of the cases in the recent form evolved as alive while 1.25% died.
