The scalar differential equations by Tiersten and Stevens are used for the electroded and unelectroded parts of the resonator, respectively. Numerical results show that there exist modes with vibration mainly trapped under the driving electrode. The effects of the structural parameters on the behaviors of the trapping are examined.","PeriodicalId":50451,"journal":{"name":"Ferroelectrics Letters Section","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2018-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89450678","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dependences of the loop height, i. e., of the remnant polarization Pr, on the pulse duration tp and spacing Δt were found at tp < 1000 ms. The effects are pronounced at tp/Δt < 1, which permits us to attribute them to backswitching. For the first time, the dependence of coercive fields on Δt was revealed, which as well as the backswitching is caused by Pr instability.","PeriodicalId":50451,"journal":{"name":"Ferroelectrics Letters Section","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2017-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78338542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ferroelectric hysteresis scaling relations for coercive field (Ec) and remnant polarization (Pr) in the form of temperature have been proposed. The power law temperature exponents based on scaling were systematically established for the hysteresis parameters. The temperature dependent scaling of Ec and Pr at sintering temperature of 1480°C for 5 hr yields Ec α T−0.42, Ec α T−0.32, Ec α T−0.35 and Ec α T−0.34 and Pr α T−2.20, Pr α T−2.07,Pr α T−2.09 and Pr α T−2.12 respectively. Further, to analyze the domain dynamics, back switching polarization (Pbc) in terms of temperature (T) was also estimated by Arrhenius law and the average activation energy was evaluated. The maximum activation energy for domain switching is found to be 0.199 eV at 17 kV/cm for x = 0.6 sample.","PeriodicalId":50451,"journal":{"name":"Ferroelectrics Letters Section","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2017-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85126285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We calculate the spontaneous polarization which originates from a certain alignments of photon field in correlation with the specific phonon mode. Conversely, the origin of multiferroicity remains poorly understood. In this paper, the structural phases of BiCrO3 over Pt (111)/Ti/SiO2/Si substrate and their lattice distortions after careful annealing were carefully investigated to explain their multiferroicity. Structural transition and different phases was studied from X-ray diffraction at different annealing temperature from 400°C to 700°C and the size of the grains were calculated from Scherrer's equation. SEM and AFM reveal nano-rod formation and the size and density of nano-rods tends to increase with increase of temperature. The step height variation and surface outgrowth of the films at different annealing temperature were further studied by measuring root mean square (RMS) and roughness (Rq) values. The frequency dependent dielectric behavior with terrific dielectric constant and dielectric loss were observed using LCRQ meter. Structural transformation also results an improved (well saturated) ferromagnetism at 700°C from weak ferromagnetism at 400°C due to addition of extra phases. This kind of approach could be used to probe the origin of multiferroic properties in rare-earth materials for device applications.","PeriodicalId":50451,"journal":{"name":"Ferroelectrics Letters Section","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2017-05-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74302961","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
