This clearly appeared in the harvest scenes in several themes. One of these themes represented a worker having a break to take a drink. The subject of the research is centered on this occasional theme concentrating on its natural features; the worker himself, his identity, the way he holds the jar of drink, the shape of the jar and the type of the drink, as well as the presenter of the drink, if was represented. The theme was found in several ancient Egyptian tombs and also in the tomb of Petosiris at Tuna el Gabal in Minia Governorate that dates to the Graeco-Roman period. The research aims to discuss all the natural features of the theme and compare between those of the ancient Egyptian themes and what is represented in the Graeco-Roman theme to find the main characteristics and differences of each one. The research employs the descriptive and analytical methodology for the discussed models of the theme and their captions to achieve the aimed results of the study. One of the main results is that the theme of a worker having a short break of work to quench his thirst appeared in two main contexts of the ancient Egyptian and Graeco-Roman outdoor daily life scenes.","PeriodicalId":503301,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Association of Arab Universities for Tourism and Hospitality","volume":"45 15","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141232531","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among these positions is the wide step position, where the artist took advantage of the empty space between the legs of the tomb owner by depicting certain minor figures related to the context of the main scene. The subject of the research focuses on all what was represented from minor figures in the space between the wide step of the tomb owner. The research aims to display and discuss the ancient Egyptian themes of figures between the wide step of the tomb owner, indicate the main context of the theme and the nature of the depicted figures if it is a human being, an object, or even an inscription. The research employs the descriptive and analytical methodology for the discussed models of the theme to achieve the aimed results of the study. One of the main results is that minor figures appeared between the wide step of the tomb owner in the main three contexts of marsh scenes; spearing fish, fowling birds, and hunting hippopotami. These minor figures are for; human (wife, daughter, son, or attendant), objects, and inscriptions.","PeriodicalId":503301,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Association of Arab Universities for Tourism and Hospitality","volume":"40 33","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141232467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Besides, hotel and tourism establishments must have dynamic skills to be sustainable, and organizational agility may be one of those crucial skills. In turn, this leads to achieving institutional excellence. This paper elicits to explore the potential effect of organizational agility drivers on organizational excellence in hotel and tourism contexts. Besides, this paper highlights the boundary effect of sustainable performance in the agility-excellence linkage. Using online and hard-copy surveys, data was gathered from 246 departmental supervisors at A-class travel agencies and 343 departmental supervisors at five-star hotels in Luxor and Aswan and analyzed using Smart PLS v.4.4. Results confirmed that four key drivers of organizational agility positively affected organizational excellence through sustainable performance. Multi group analysis findings proved that sustainable performance was positively affected by flexibility, speed, and competence in favor of the hotel departmental supervisor group, while responsiveness positively affected sustainable performance in favor of the travel agency departmental supervisor group. Further, sustainable performance positively affected institutional excellence in favor of the hotel departmental supervisor group. Accordingly, this paper contributes valuable insights to decision-makers and practitioners in the hotel and tourism industry. For example, by prioritizing organizational agility practices, which aim to enable hotel establishments to adapt effectively to changing circumstances, attempting institutional excellence will provide hotel and tourism management firms with a high degree of exceptional performance and gain credibility in the perspective of their competitors.","PeriodicalId":503301,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Association of Arab Universities for Tourism and Hospitality","volume":"20 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141233979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It also examines the moderating role of green transformational leadership (GTL). The study investigated five-star hotels and category-A travel agencies in Egypt in greater Cairo, chosen due to their commitment to green initiatives. The research sample consisted of employees from 22 hotels and 55 travel agencies. 600 surveys were distributed; however, only 425 were valid, representing a 70.8% response rate. 60% of the sample worked at five-star hotels, while 40% worked for travel agencies. The study found that green dynamic capabilities (GDC) positively impact green creativity (GC). Green transformational leadership (GTL) positively impacts GDC and GC. Furthermore, GTL positively moderates the relationship between GDC and GC. Theoretical and managerial implications were also added in addition to further research avenues.","PeriodicalId":503301,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Association of Arab Universities for Tourism and Hospitality","volume":"5 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141229726","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
