Physically, the sources of clean water still exhibit discoloration and unpleasant odor. The latrine construction lacks a roof, and the walls are made of cloth. The construction of waste bins lacks covers, and the wastewater disposal facilities (SPAL) are open. This research aims to determine the correlation between basic sanitation and the prevalence of diarrhea using the Geographic Information System (GIS) method. The study is descriptive-analytical through observations and a GIS approach in the form of a map. From the observations, bivariate and univariate analyses were conducted using the chi-square test. The results show that basic household sanitation is related to the prevalence of diarrhea in Bulurejo. Clean water facilities, with a p-value of 0.014, indicate a significant relationship. Toilet facilities, with a p-value of 0.347, show no significant relationship. SPAL facilities, with a p-value of 0.009, indicate a significant relationship. Waste disposal facilities, with a p-value of 0.029, indicate a significant relationship. After analysis, the results were represented in the form of a map. The Geographic Information System (GIS) approach was utilized to develop more effective mapping strategies for the improvement of sanitation and diarrhea control in the area. These findings indicate the necessity for enhancing basic sanitation facilities and implementing programs at community health centers to reduce diarrhea cases in Bulurejo.","PeriodicalId":503006,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Health Science and Technology","volume":"33 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140457146","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is known that these habits have a negative impact on the body and can cause death. There are a number of chemicals in cigarettes that cause symptoms of health problems, one of which is carbon monoxide (CO). Carbon monoxide, in the form of a gas due to combustion from cigarettes, is inhaled and enters the lungs and the bloodstream. CO gas will bind hemoglobin in the same place where oxygen binds hemoglobin, thus forming carboxyhemoglobin (COHb). This can happen because the binding force of CO is stronger than the binding power of O2 on Hb. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between Carboxyhemoglobin levels and Hemoglobin levels in active smokers in Gresik Regency. This study was an analytical observational study with a cross sectional design conducted at the Toxicology and Hematology Laboratory of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology, Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya, from October 2022 to June 2023. Blood tests were carried out on 30 active smokers with purposive sampling techniques. The results showed an average COHb level of 0.89%; average hemoglobin level of 14.6 g/dL. The data results were analyzed using the SPSS program. The conclusion of this reseach was that there was no relationship between COHb and Hemoglobin in active smokers in Gresik Regency.","PeriodicalId":503006,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Health Science and Technology","volume":"72 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140457601","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to the results of a study conducted in Surakarta, it was found that with a body mass index > 25 (overweight), the risk of developing osteoarthritis is 4.9 times higher than that of the elderly with a body mass index of 18.5-25 .0. The aim of this study was to determine whether there is an association between osteoarthritis of the knee and BMI in the elderly in the orthopedic outpatient clinic of Soewandhie Hospital, Surabaya. The method used to identify osteoarthritis patients is a cross- sectional observational analysis. These results suggest that study participants with a high BMI had more severe osteoarthritis, while study participants with a normal BMI deficiency had milder osteoarthritis. In a review based on Spearman's rank correlation, BMI and degree of osteoarthritis in Soewandhie Hospital Surabaya knows that the value of the correlation coefficient or value of r = 0.554 is close to 1, indicating that the correlation level has a positive direction and is quite strong. Other inhibiting factors are workload and adjustments to the latest accreditation standards. Accreditation is an important point in maintaining the quality of health care facilities. The fact that clinic accreditation in Indonesia is still quite low, only 1.7% of private clinics have been accredited out of 10,380. Driven by technological developments, it is necessary to develop a system that helps facilitate the documentation management and self-assessment. The research aims to design a system from problem analysis, system architecture to functionality. This research method using design thinking involves potential users at the Permata Keluarga Clinic and the design refers to the Clinic accreditation standards by the Ministry of Indonesian through H.K.01.07/MENKES/1983/2022. SIMAKLIK can be used by leaders and quality team members, accreditation assistance officers and surveyors. Features of this system prototype include: systematic documentation in accordance with the accreditation standard, self-assessment report features, dashboard, notes and recommendations features. This prototype has been successfully tested to users with SUS Score results of 81.78. The SUS Score results are categorized as grade B or very good, which indicates that the system's acceptability and usability are good. SIMAKLIK has contributed to the development of a document management system as an innovative product in health care facilities, especially clinics. In the future, that prototype can be followed up through development by the engineer team.","PeriodicalId":503006,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Health Science and Technology","volume":"25 34","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139239875","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
