The findings suggested that there is indeed a positive, although not significant relationship between both variables, partially due to the study’s limitations, which included a small sample size, ultimately making it difficult to generalize results on the population.","PeriodicalId":499878,"journal":{"name":"Open Journal of Business and Management","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135496041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the logistics performance is not developing synchronously, and the situation is unsatisfactory. This paper takes the urgent transportation between China and Thailand as an example, and proposes a model of time-based performance evaluation. The model presents an approach to fuzzy algorithms on linguistic variables based on analyzing the main influencing factors. Thus, it is practical when accurately measurable data is unavailable, and it can also be used to select a relatively optimal solution from several alternatives.","PeriodicalId":499878,"journal":{"name":"Open Journal of Business and Management","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135560645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Individualism is prioritizing self-based needs over the needs of the community and others. Moreover, individualism contributed to developing the Generation Y and Z population perspective. Individuals born between 1981 and 2002 will be the targeted age group of this research, because these Generation Y and Z population members are of traditional occupational age. Furthermore, the scope of the research included the sample age group within the scope of the Central New York healthcare environment. I explored the impact of individualism on Generation Y and Z members in the Central New York healthcare setting regarding their perception of the organizational environment and the consequent influence on organizational commitment levels. This foundational research highlighted that Generation Y and Z members are becoming more individualistic or self-serving. Therefore, modern-day Western organizational leaders must adopt a leadership approach that complements the perspective of the Generation Y and Z generational members if the leader desires to be successful in the modern-day organizational setting. Transformational and servant-based leadership approaches can meet the Generation Y and Z workforce’s needs while inspiring organizational commitment.","PeriodicalId":499878,"journal":{"name":"Open Journal of Business and Management","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135798315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite the abundant literature, findings on the correlation between cultural distance and M & A success have been contradictory. Due to the complex nature of culture, many authors suggest the existence of other external factors to be the cause of this inconclusiveness. The purpose of this study is to reassess culture’s effect on M & A success within a more recent context and determine if board gender diversity moderates this relationship. The results show a positive relationship between cultural similarity and M & A success but do not suggest board gender diversity to be a moderator in this relationship. This paper concludes with a discussion of the findings and recommendations for future research. This is the first exploratory research done that investigates board gender diversity as a moderator in this context, seeking to stimulate further research in this area and make theoretical contributions.","PeriodicalId":499878,"journal":{"name":"Open Journal of Business and Management","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135561533","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All businesses activities are unable to conduct except the essential services and natural resource sectors. Micro-entrepreneurs impact the most where their business size and scale is relatively small. Therefore, the objective of this study is to investigate the support provided by Islamic microfinance institutions towards women micro-entre- preneurs sustainability during COVID-19 in Johor. This study is conducted using a qualitative approach that is cantered around the perspectives of participants. A small sample size is used to explore a particular issue in depth. A semi structured interview and case study with 12 women micro-entrepreneurs from the food and beverages sector under Islamic microfinance institution, Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) in Johor is carried out. The result shows that Islamic microfinance institutions play an important role in supporting women micro-entrepreneurs sustainability during COVID-19. This study would contribute towards better practice for policy makers with recommendations provided by participants.","PeriodicalId":499878,"journal":{"name":"Open Journal of Business and Management","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135550508","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This model looks at how easy it is to use e-Commerce, how useful people think it is, how much they enjoy it, how much they trust it, how well it fits with their habits, how social influences affect their decisions, and how much risk they feel. By studying these factors and testing different ideas, the study shows that adopting e-Commerce is complicated. It finds that people’s trust, enjoyment, and how well e-Commerce fits with their habits play a significant role in their decisions. The study suggests that businesses and researchers should think about these things when they want to encourage e-Commerce in developing economies. The study uses data from questionnaires given to people in Bangladesh who use different online platform for shopping. The study also uses a particular statistical technique, Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM), to test its ideas. Overall, the study helps us better understand how people in these economies embrace e-Commerce and gives insights that can be useful for both academics and businesses. The study also adds a new idea to the TAM model by considering how people see e-Commerce fitting into a developing economy. The findings of this research hold the promise of informing strategies that can foster greater acceptance and utilization of e-Commerce platforms, propelling the development and digital inclusion of emerging economies.","PeriodicalId":499878,"journal":{"name":"Open Journal of Business and Management","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135658885","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As online sales and businesses recover, interest in performance improvement is also growing. Thus, the study examines how COVID-19 influences online businesses in the UK and Ghana, focusing on service quality and performance. The study additionally explored how empathy, responsiveness, reliability, and safety assurance impact online businesses. Using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method, data were collected from a sample of 212 online business employees in the United Kingdom and 204 online business employees in Ghana. The results of the entire sample show that COVID-19 has a significant and positive influence on the quality of online business services. However, the overall sample shows that COVID-19 has no significant impact on the performance of online businesses, and this was also true for Ghana. In contrast, COVID-19 had a significant impact on the performance of an online business in the United Kingdom. Additionally, empathy, responsiveness, and reliability had a significant impact on performance. In the context of Ghana, safety assurance had a significant impact on online business performance, whereas, in the context of the United Kingdom, it had no significant impact.","PeriodicalId":499878,"journal":{"name":"Open Journal of Business and Management","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135698944","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
